Ishra were looking at each other not knowing what to say. Raman had always thought that ishita betrayed him and got married but knowing the reason behind her marriage, he don't have anythinh to say.
Botg were looking at each other not knowing how to continue further when they heard Ruhi's crying. Both got up and went to her only to see she has ruined her clothes and was crying.
Raman look at ishita and she said -tum baahar jao, I will make her clean.
Raman nodded and went out while ishita took Ruhi to clean her.
After fifteen minutes, she went out with Ruhi in her hand, Ruhi was wearing a pink frock with nappy.
She was looking at Raman and he asked for her. Ishita smiled and gave him Ruhi and he start playing with Ruhi.
Raman -ale le le bachcha, Gandu gandu ho gaya tha, but not to worry, mumma ne sab thik kar diya. Bhookhu lagi hai bachcha ko yaa kheli karegi bachchu. He was saying and playing with Ruhi while she was also looking at her talking with raman in her language.
Raman look at ishita and said -yeh kitni cute hai, she is just like u ishi,mumma ki tarah naa ,bachchu. He said and Ruhi start crying.
Raman -oh achcha achcha, u r not like mumma. Kiski tarah ho Aap betu, he was asking when ruhi caressed his face with her tiny hands. Raman closes his eyes feeling ruhi's hand. He took her hand in his and kissed her little palm.
Ishita smiled seeing ruman bonding and said -i think she is liking u Raman. Tum ho hi itne achche ki kisi ko bhi achche lago and Ruhi is not a exception. She said and Raman smiled.
Raman -aur milind, milind kaisa lagta hai Ruhi ko?? Kahan hai woh apni Ek hafte ki bachchi aur biwi ko chod kar. How can he go leaving u alone??
Ishita -milind gaye nahi hai, woh wapas hi nahi aaye hai.
Raman -ohh, toh ur husband is not in Indian and u have ur daughter with u. Kaisa pati hai woh joh apni biwi aur bachchi ko aise chod sakta hai. Don't he love u and ruhi.he said looking at ishita.
He said little louder and Ruhi start crying hearing the loud voice. Ishita took Ruhi in her arms and said -i don't know whether he loves me or not, but one thing I know that I never loved him. Aur usne naa mujhe pyaar kiya aur naa mujhe usse pyaar karne ka koi mauka bhi nahi diya. She said cajoling ruhi.
Raman was shocked hearing this and was just looking at Ruhi when ishita said -i know what u r thinking, ki jab main milind se pyaar nahi karti ,milind mujhse nahi karte toh Ruhi kaise hui, yahin naa??
Raman look at her and nodded in no.
Ishita -I know u r thinking this only, aur ek hadh tak tumhara sochna sahi bhi hai. But Raman yeh India hai, yahan husband wife ka Ek dusre se pyaar karna important nahi but relationship hona important hai. hume bachpan se seekhaya jaata hai ki strangers se baat bhi mat karo ,they may harm u. Aur ek din hume Ek stranger ke saath baandh diya jaata hai, and not only that we have to surrender ourselves to him. Phir chahe hum chahe yaa naa chahe. Ruhi bhi ussi ka result hai, hamare pyaar ki nishani nahi hai, hamare rishte ki nishani hai. She said making Raman angry.
Raman -yeh kya bakwaas kar rahi ho ishita. Aisa lag hi nahi raha ki koi 21st century ki ladki bol rahi hai balki aisa lag raha hai ki koi kisi gaon ki illiterate bol rahi hai. Just because he is ur husband, he got access over u without ur permission. Aisa possible nahi hai.
Ishita look at him and said -u can think so, kyunki tum ladke ho, aur naa sirf ladke balki Ek bahut achche ladke. I know if u get married to someone u don't know, u will surely give her time but milind. Milind was not like that. He was the man, jiski shaan ghatti hai, apni biwi ko time dene mein. Aur waise bhi he was here for just two days. Maine kaha I need that, but what I got in answer, do din baad main chala jaaunga. Phir lete rehna time. I talked about this to amma but she also said the same thing, even my mother in law, sabne Ek ho baat kahi.milind toh do din mein chala jayega, phir lete rehna time usse samjhne ke liye. But no-one told me ki jab mera pati chala jayega toh main samjhungi kise.mujhe naa sirf pediyon mein bandh diya gaya balki khul kar saans lene ki bhi izzajat nahi di. That two days were hell for me, she said and hugged herself tight feeling disgusted remembering his touches.
Raman tried to comfort her but she nodded in no and said -noone can comfort me raman, usse rape kehte nahi log but hota woh wahin hai, marital rape. Just because u got married to her, u got right to take her. he spend two days with me and went to London leaving me with his family, aur ruhi ussi ka nateeja hai.she said and look at him.
Raman -uske baad, I mean what happened after that, that u meet me in such pathetic situation. Uske parent achche nahi the kya, did they use to trouble u.
Ishita -nahi, yeh hi toh achcha tha, uske parent bahut achche the. Bhale hi milind baahar rehte the for his job but his parent use to take care of me.
Raman -matlab, u use to live with ur in laws.
Ishita nodded in yes.
Raman -aur milind??
Ishita -woh London mein hai, shaadi ke baad joh gay's tab se aaj tak wapas hi nahi aaye. She said making Raman shocked.
Raman-kya, milind shaadi ke baad se aaya hi nahi.
Ishita -no, jab mere pregnant hone ki baat pata chali thi, appa called him and told him to come. But he never came in pretext of work. Even I don't had his phone number also. Kabhi kabhi unki amma phone karti thi toh meri baat ho jaati thi.mujhe ajeeb lagta tha ki mera pati mujhse baat kyun nahi karta. I told same to my mother in law and she asked same from him. And from next day he start talking to me, but bas paanch minute. Bas haal chaal and he hung that call saying he has work. I spend all my days without him in my in law's place. And finally the day came, Ruhi was born. Everyone was very happy. I was waiting for milind, ki ab toh woh aayenge but got to know that his flight was cancelled. Toh woh kuch din baad aayenge. I was feeling suspicious but kya kar sakti thi. Apni do din ki bachchi ko le kar ghar wapas aa gayi. Mere amma -appa aur uske amma -appa, Ruhi ke hone ki khushi mein unke natives gaye the, koi devi hai, unke darshan karne. Aur wapsi mein unka accident ho gaya. Koi nahi bacha, I lost my parent and in laws together. She said making Raman shocked while tears were flowing continuously from her eyes.
Raman -kya uncle aunty nahi rahe.
Ishita -nahi, koi nahi raha. I was shattered with my parent's death. I was waiting for milind par woh tab bhi nahi aaye. Balki uske bhai aur bhabhi aayi. Milind ke do bhai hai, unn dono ne milkar mujhe ghar se baahar nikal diya, yeh keh kar ki jab milind hi nahi toh main kis liye unke ghar mein rahun. I cried, pleaded for mercy but no-one listen to my plea. Mujhe ghar se baahar phenk diya. I went to appa's house but woh bhi landlord ne bandh kar diya tha, mujhe ghusne hi nahi diya. Main police mein gayi, complain kiya but no-one listen to me. Shayad unke bhaiyon ne paise de kar police ki kharid liya tha. Mujhe koi help nahi mili. Koi shelter nahi mila, I was literally in road with my four days child. I tried to call milind from someone's number, kisi ne call bhi uthaya, mujhe suna bhi but phir call cut kar diya. I tried again but number unreachable ho gaya. Main ekdum akeli ho gayi thi raman, samajh nahi aa raha tha kya karun. Kahan jaun, kisse help maangu. Meri bachchi ro rahi thi and I don't had a piece of cloth to even cover her. She said crying at her helplessness when he pulled her to himself and try to console her but she was inconsolable. He was caressing her back and she was crying on top of her voice remembering the worst days of her life. Seeing her crying Ruhi too start crying. Raman tried to stop her also but the mother -daughter duo was crying uncontrollably. Finally he took both of them in a tight hug trying to console them while ishru continued crying.
