Aryan starts the car and drives Ria to her house, when they get there Ria tries to open the door
Ri - Aryan...open the door!
Ar - ask nicely and I will
Ri - fine...Aryan....open the door...please
Ar - much better
Aryan unlocks the doors and Ria gets out, she gives him an evil look before storming into her house, Aryan laughs to himself then drives home.
Part 13
The professor clears his throat and waits for the class to quieten down. Once he has their attention he speaks
Pr - I'm sure you remember the presentation you have to do
The class groan
Pr - well as I said before I will delegate the pairs and put the list on the bulletin and I have done that, so please make sure you check the list after the lesson. Now continuing with today's lecture....
After the lesson Roshni drags Ria to the bulletin where other students from their class are gathered to see who they've been paired up with. She waits until the crowd disperses and begins looking at the list while Ria looks bored
Ri - well what does it say?
R - I'm reading.....Nisha....Priya....ahh Ria....oh
Ri - oh? what does oh mean?
R - you're paired with Karan
Ri - great
R - why's that great?
Ri - because he's the brainiest in our class next to you, so he'll do all the work
Karan comes up behind her
Kar - no Ria...you'll have to do some of the work too
Ria and Roshni turn around
Ri - what do you mean?
Kar - in case you forgot, the proffesor said both of us have to do the work and both of us will be individually graded
Ri - but.....fine I guess you're right.....anyways Roshni who are you paired with?
R - oh yes
Roshni turns back around and looks at the list, she finds her name and trails her finger to the name next to it, she freezes upon reading the name then blinks her eyes and looks again
Ri - well??? what does it say?
R - Kunal Khanna
Ri - cool you're with KK, ok I have to go, see you soon
Ria walks off, Karan looks at Roshni who is still staring at the list, he taps her shoulder
Kar - Roshni, what happened?
R - huh?
Roshni looks at him and nods her head
R - yeah I'm great....where's KK?
Kar - the basketball courts I think....but why....
Roshni rushes off without listening to what Karan has to say, he shakes his head and goes to the library to get some books for the presentation. Meanwhile Roshni arrives at the basketball courts and watches KK play for a while, she sits on the bench and waits for him, 5 minutes later she gets bored and decides to call him, she stands up
R - KK! KK!
KK glances at the direction where Roshni's voice is coming from and sees Roshni, he stops playing and jogs over to her
KK - hey what's up?
R - erm you know the presentation we have
KK - presentation....oh Mr Khurana's one?
R - yeah that one
KK - what about it?
R - well I was just checking to see who i was paired with and...
KK - and?
R - I'm paired....with you
KK - oh? cool, is that it?
Roshni nods her head slowly, KK smiles then goes back to play, Roshni frowns at KK's lack of enthusiasm, she looks at him and sees he's engrossed in the game so she walks off. Later in the canteen, Tia is sitting talking with Karan when Ria and Roshni join them
Ri - so what are you lovebirds talking about?
T - oh nothing Di....just some stuff
Ri - yeah sure...
Kar - hey Ria for the presenation I was thinking we could.....
T - what presenation?
Ri - we have this lame presenation to do for Khurana's class, and he's paired me and Karan together and paired Roshni with KK
T - oh....I see
Ria looks at Tia's jealous expression and giggles
Ri - come on sis...chill I'm not going to take your lover away from you...
T - yeah I know
Kar - anyways as I was saying, I was thinking you should come to my house so we can discuss what to do for it
Ri - I have a better idea....how about you come to my house? I mean then you'll be able to see little miss Tia aswell
Kar - sure...that sounds great
Ri - well didn't take long to change your mind did it?
Roshni and Ria giggle at Karan's blushing face
KK - what are you guys laughing about? Karan move over
Karan shifts over towards Tia and KK grabs a chair and sits down inbetween Ria and Karan
Ri - oh nothing...just at your brother's blushing face
KK - Karan....don't do that again
Kar - do what?
KK - blush....its not a guys thing....its for girls only...ok
Kar - yeah ok whatever...hey I'm going to Ria's later on today because we've been paired together.....why don't you come with me and Roshni can come there too....and we can all study together
KK starts laughing
KK - yeah we can all bring our calculators and have ourseleves a nice study party......
Kar - bro no need for your sarcasm....will you come or not?
KK - I don't know....it depends
Kar - on what?
KK - if I have a date or not
Kar - well I'm sure you can miss one small date for your presenation..I mean I'm sure Roshni wants to study....right Roshni?
Roshni looks up
R - if KK is busy then....I can do the work alone....then help him later
KK - see...no need for me to come
Ri - hey that's not fair...if I have to study then so do you...no excuses you're all coming to my house later on understood
KK - right and what will you do if I don't?
Ri - I will tell Kripa aunty to drag you there by your ear
KK - why do you have to bring mom into this?
Kar - don't worry Ria I'll bring him there, Roshni you'll meet us there right?
R - yeah I'll get Bhai to drop me off
Ri - great so say at 7?
Kar - cool we'll be there
T - erm guys
The others look at Tia who had been sitting quiet
T - what am I going to do while you're studying?
Ri - you're welcome to watch Karan study if you want..
Tia glares at Ria then walks off, Karan shakes his head and goes after her
Ri - look at him running after her....so sweet
KK - yeah sure...ok so I'm going to go...I have a lunch date with...with...what's her name...that girl in the front row of Khurana's class....with the mini skirt
Ri - Meena?
KK - oh yes that's it....Meena...I better write that down somewhere....hey Roshni give me a pen please
Roshni rumages through her bag and hands him a pen, he writes the name on his hand and gives her the pen back
KK - ok I better go, see you tonight
KK runs off, Roshni holds the pen in her hand then puts it away in her bag safely.
