Can't agree more. She is helping us to relive Shivika moments again...How beautifully shez penning down all the emotions. Loving it.

Oh dear dear dear!!! Read all parts in one go and I have to tell u that your work is beyond my words for appreciation. I am simply just loving it. The Annika you're portraying is just so strong and magnificent than I could ever imagine. And with her dressing sense, about which I'm really happy about, she can set the room on fire. And the tadibaaz Shivaay Singh Oberoi with all his aristocracy, is so awesome. And with all young Ishqbaaz days as still the backdrop, I am just loving this story more than my boyfriend (though, I don't have a real one and the one I have, that's my German Shepherd Kishorilal, just won't reciprocate sometimes)!! But, all I wanna say is keep doing this work and keep entertaining us. I'm lovin' it. And can you plz add me to your pm list? I would love to read more and stay hooked. Thank you for making my day. Chapter 27:Punches, portends and permissions

"One shot of Chivas on the rocks!" snapped Shivay at the bar counter. "Na ah, only fruit punch today!!!" exclaimed Rudy now poking his head from behind the bar counter. "Rudy, FTW man!" snapped Shivay. "Aww bhaiya, come on, only my special fruit punch. After all Prinku's special day!" said Rudy handing Shivay a sampler of the punch. The idea was to get people drunk eventually, not right away. "Fine then, hand it over," gestured Shivay. Taking a sip he realized it was spiked. "Ah Rudy, up to it again!. Now he would have to fake a stupor till Rudy passed out and then clean everything up!" thought Shivay as he sighed inaudibly. "Need to seriously get him involved in something more productive!" he thought. "At least you have Om and Mallika tonight" his brain appended.

"Shivay what up?" asked Om tapping Shivay's shoulder lightly. "Nah, was just thinking about work." said Shivay, "Why spoil the fun for Rudy?He had to admit, Om's poetry would get really ridiculous, really soon. "You should have changed out of your suit, at least this time. You seriously look like you will march right into a board meeting any moment." said Om. "Well, better this than a red jacket!" said Shivay with a wry smile. "Point!" said Om raising his hands in surrender.

"Baby..." came Tia's voice, "Come on over!I am all set for you!" she cooed. Wincing a little and downing the last of his punch, Shivay walked over to the pool area with Om. "Come baby!" gestured Tia, "Sit there, across from me, let us start with your cards first." she said. From the corner of his eyes Shivay saw Om and Mallika exchange smiles and hide their snickers. Glaring at them lightly and turning towards Tia he said "Oh come on Tia! All this is rubbish and I don't believe in it one bit. Must we go through this?.""Please baby, this once, you never let me read your cards. Please this once!" whined Tia. Shivay could clearly see Rudy, Saumya, Mallika and Om exercising great restraint in their attempts to not burst out laughing, while Prinku eyed Tia with some sympathy. But what really riled him was the look of absolute contempt Anika was aiming at him. Turning to glare at Anika, he said "Sure Tia, go ahead. Read my cards!" and with that he quirked a brow Anika's way and turned to face Tia. "Yay! Baby now, from the spread to your left pick 3 cards. From the front pick 1 and then 1 from the right again." Shivay complied. "Ohhh!!" went Tia as she flipped the cards upward and then went silent. "Umm Tia, what happened?" asked Saumya. "Umm, I am a little confused. I have never seen such a line up before." said Tia. A little intrigued, Mallika asked "What happened Tia?," "Umm, Ok, so the cards say that Shivay baby will be in trouble because of love or a love one. He will battle love. He will be in danger because of love. He will be saved because of love. He will shun love, but he will be lost without it." finished Tia on a deep sigh. A rather uncomfortable silence ensued. "What rubbish!" snapped Shivay in order to bring some order to the tableau.

See after Tia made that prediction, Rudy and Om silently moved to either side of Shivay and gripped his arms rather discreetly. Mallika and Saumya looked at each other, then at Shivay and then at Tia... and then at Om and Rudy. Sensing the tension, Anika said "Tia, you are right. Umm.. Billuji loves himself, he is a big pain to self and he need not look outside for trouble. And... he will not admit it!. See that already satisfies your prediction."

Relief spread as Mallika and Om giggled, followed by Prinku, Saumya and Rudy. Shivay tried to glare at Anika, but he was too stumped to cock his brow. He merely jerked. got up and walked to sit by Mallika.

"My turn!" yelled Saumya and proceeded to pick her cards. "Umm, interesting,...you will find your true love really soon!You will recover everything you lost!" said Tia happily. Satisfied, Saumya moved to make way to Prinku. "Hmm.." began Tia studying Prinku's cards, "Courage, you need it. A lot of it. Take a stand when you can!" she said. After Om and Mallika, it was now Rudy's turn, "Come on lady baba," said Rudy wiggling his eyebrows, "Tell me I am the most charming of them all!" he said. "Well Rudy, your cards say that you would soon be the fool if you don't see the difference between what you need and what you want!" said Tia. Pouting Rudy made way for Anika. "Oh my!" said Tia clutching her chest, "You will be destined for something great and fantastic Anika. Your strength will shine through. You will win battle and war. Your life is about to change!" she gushed.

"What.. haha..well my life will be spectacular if I can get a job that will pay enough to send Sahil to a better school!I hope that happens!" said Anika wistfully.

"If we are done with this, can we move to the next item on our agenda?" asked Shivay stiffly. "Oh yeah! The next agenda is Rudy's special game night!" declared Rudy. Rounds of fruit punch were passed around. With each passing second the games got sillier. Shivay waited for the drunken energy to fade out and for lethargy to take over. Much as he hated to admit, he was concerned for Anika. After her second shot of fruit punch, she got totally drunk. "First timers!" he shrugged. God! he remembered going through so many firsts, with Om and Rudy!! Sigh!. He carefully made sure after he second shot, she was getting watered down punch, but by then the damage was done. Om was busily mouthing poetry to a pool ornament, something about how he was like an onion, with several layers!!, when Mallika stumbled over, "Shivay..." she said tipsy and slurry, "Come on man! Whats wrong with you?You tell me I don't face my fears, you bloody don't face your feelings. The whole world can see you don't love Tia!" as she said that she swayed. Shivay caught her just before she fell flat on her face, "Come on now Mallika!" he began, "No you come on!You don't love Tia, and shhh... I know you have crush!" she said and began to giggle. "Enough now, come!" said Shivay and steered her towards some floor cushions where Tia was curled up with her Tarot cards. "There now, lied down" he said and made sure she would stay put. While Mallika conked off, Shivay drew a throw and covered both Tia and Mallika with it. Satisfied he moved ahead to wrap the party up.

Satisfied to see Om curled up at the foot of the pool ornament, Shivay looked around for his little trouble maker. "Rudy, come on let go, let go!" said Saumya. "No! NO! Sumo! you listen to me, you talk to me ok?you don't cut me off!" said Rudy. "No Rudy, I don't want to listen to you. You go Ok?I can't do this anymore. It is hard!" began Saumya, a little weepy now. "Wonder what this is all about?" thought Shivay. "You don't see, you don't get it." said Saumya. "Oh come on! I get it. Bhavya says the same thing. I am tired of both of you. I need my friend Sumo. I need you. You need me. Bhavya does not. I know that!" he added. It was Rudy's turn to cry. "Shh.Shh..come on now," said Saumya.

Even before he could go after them and see what all that was about, he heard a slurry "Billujiii!."

There she was, swaying in that dress. That long form of her, hugged by the plain black gown. Her curls swaying with every movement of her head. Shivay caught her by an elbow before she fell, and then without thinking, his arms moved around her waist, holding her securely, like she was a delicate flower. Her arms, came up and rested on his chest, with one palm closing over his heart, as though claiming it for herself.

"Billuji, you know what???" she giggled. "You have the most beautiful eyes I have ever seen. The are you know satrangi!!" she declared. "Anika, please for once, use proper language," chided Shivay, albeit gently. There was no harm in admitting now, for a moment, that he really liked where they were right now. "Array satrangi, like an indradhaush. You know I always keep wondering what color they are?Blue?Green?Brown?Yellow?Gray?. Ek insaan ke ankh itne raang kaise ho sakte hai?. Tell me Billuji, What color are your eyes?." she finished, swaying in his arms. Shivay placed his palm over hers, the one over his heart as though holding it securely there. He didn't want her to move her palm away. "Anika, you know, you are kind of cute. God alone knows what language you speak in. But all in all, you are cute!" said Shivay. "Aww Billuji...haiyee, you made my day!. Remember we got away from dancing the last time around?. I was scared." she said.

Shivay's heart skipped a beat. "Why not?" he thought ,"she would forget by dawn, he would forget it too." Still holding her with one hand, and using the other to tip her chin up, to look right into her eyes, he asked "Anika, shall we dance?."
