Part 24
Next day was big for ishra as they were going to marry again with all the rituals and most importantly with their will . At first in morning their haldi function held ,ishra and nandani all were applied the haldi while they were enjoying it fully . Soon the day passed with some more Lil functions and finally it was evening and now their marriage was to be held .
Ishita and Nandani were getting ready in a room ,by the beautician appointed by Raman ,actually as Nandani has so many cousins it was decided that they will make her ready but Raman booked a beautician for nandani too when he was doing booking for ishita . Daimaa was juggling between ishra as she was checking both of them . She couldn't help any of them as she was Punjabi and they were dressing in south Indian attire . Ishita was getting ready in red madisar while Raman was dressed in cream silk vesti .After the brides were ready nandani mother came to check them ,she admired her daughter and put a black mark behind her ear , praising her for looking too beautiful in her marriage attire .
Ishita was pretending to be busy with her jewelry but was looking this from cores of her eyes and was feeling empty without her mother ,her eyes got moist thinking that she is getting married for second time but her mother was not with her anytime .Thats when daimaa entered the room and saw ishita ,she took evil eyes of ishita with her hands and spoke putting the black mark " kinni soni lag rahi hai puttar , sachchi I had never seen so beautiful bride ever . mera bachcha ,why are you crying puttar ".
She asked wiping ishitas tears from cores of her eyes and spoke " I know puttar you must be missing your mother ,ma to nahi lekin main bhi teri ma jaisi hi hoon ,you can share your happiness and griefs with me ".
Ishita hugged her tight and spoke " haan daimaa ,aap aur Raman hi to meri family ho ".
" and we all " they listened nandani and her mother .
I(smiling )- and you all are my maternal family . isn't it ?
NF- of course kanna .
I- daimaa where is Raman ,had you seen him ,how is he looking .
She asked a lot of question together . Daimaa stopped her and spoke " saans le le puttar ,somany questions in a go ,Raman is getting ready ,yeah I saw him and he was looking too beautiful in his madrasi look but getting irritated as he cannot handle it ".
Ishita laughed aloud and spoke " arey meri pyaari daimaa ,Raman cannot look beautiful as he is a boy ,he will look handsome ".
D- Jo bhi hai wahi .but the main thing is he is getting irritated with that lungi.
L- uff daimaa lungi nahi vesti .
D- whatever
Saying so both laughed aloud ,then Daimaa went to check Raman . He too was looking gloomy ,Daimaa went to him and spoke kissing his temple " haii mera puttar kinna sona lag raha hai ,madrasi dulha ban kar utna hi achcha lag raha hai jitna Punjabi munda ban kar lagta hai ".
Ramam hugged her tight and spoke" Daimaa aaj ma papa ki bahut yaad aa rahi hai ( daimaa I m missing ma and papa ).
D- I know puttar ,they must he looking at you from heaven and were admiring you .
R- sachchi daimaa .
D- of course mera bachcha .kisi ki nazar na late mere puttar nu.
Saying so she took evil eyes from him also ,thats when Aashish came for calling Raman . Daimaa held his hand and both went towards the mandap . There they saw Nandani's groom was already there in their mandap and panditji has already started started the rituals . Raman too settled in his mandap and Panditji started enchanting mantras ,soon the brides were called . Raman signalled daimaa to go and bring ishita ,she nodded and went to bring ishita . After sometimes both the brides arrived ,nandani with her mother and cousins while ishita with daimaa and her friends . Soon both the brides reach their mandap and Panditji instructed both the pair to stood up together for varmaala . Nandani and her husband stood face to face ,while Raman held ishita and make her stand .She put her hands in his shoulder and stood,Raman was holding ishita from her waist while daimaa passed the flower garland to her ,she looked at Raman ,he pressed his eyes assuring her to continue as ,he is holding her . Ishita took the garland and put it in his neck and smiled fully on her success ,then Raman make her sit as she much got tired of standing . Then he took the garland from daimaa and put it in Ishita's neck ,both saw each other and shared a beautiful eyelock which was brokfn by panditji's voice who was instructing the bride groom to sit so that they can proceed with further rituals .Raman sat on his place while panditji saw ishita and then Raman , then to nandani's father ,he too looked at him and asked " what happened panditji ,is there some problem ".
P- yes ,a very big one . This girl's leg is broken ,how she will sit and complete the ritual moreover how she will take pheres.
Raman immediately answered " you don't worry for that panditji ,I had done arrangements for that ."
Saying so Raman signalled Aashish to bring the little wooden chair which he has especially bought for marriage,so that ishita can sit stretching her leg . Raman helped ishita in sitting in that chair and he sat in floor in front on her. Panditji smiled on Raman's arrangements and started enchanting mantras .
At first Nandani's parents did her kanyadaan then ishita's . After that ishra had to sit together ,another pair of the small wooden chair was brought and Raman sat on it ,now ishra were on level . After sometimes the couples were instructed to take pheres ,nandani and her husband took pheres first then Raman picked ishita in his arms and completed the pheres ,while all admired the lovely couple .Then both the groom filled partition of their bride and tied mangalsutra around their neck . Nandani was looking down shyly while ishita was smiling fully ,looking at Raman . All the elders blessed both the couple while Raman gifted a car to nandani as her wedding gift . She tried to deny but he convinced her saying this is a gift from a brother to his sister , she cannot deny it . Her father too was denying but he too stopped listening to this . Nandani father told Raman that he has already done much help for which he told that it was his share of expenses for his marriage but its the gift . finally Nandani took it while ishita got happy seeing Raman's goodness and deep thought . Soon rest of the rituals were done ,nandani went to her in-laws place and ishra too take leave from there .
Raman has already booked their tickets to Delhi and they too left nandani's house to go to their own house . All bid adieu to them and told then to visit chennai whenever they get time . Ishra too agreed as they had found some new and nice relationships here. Soon they boarded their flight and flew back to Delhi . They reached Delhi after few hours ,Raman has already informed his driver of their return ,so he has come to receive them.All settled in the car and drove towards bhalla house .
As soon as they reached ,daimaa stopped ishra there itself and went inside ,she brought aarti thaal and did ishra aarti ,then called them inside ,thought she wanted ishita to enter with kumkum filled feet as new brides but cannot as ishita was hurt .
Raman picked ishita and entered the house happily ,he was going to their room when Daimaa stopped him and spoke " puttar I know you two must be tired but as you got married I want to fulfill all the rituals ,so if you can please come after taking bath ."
Raman nodded and went to his room . They were taking out their cloths when a help showed up with their tea and told " bhaiya daimaa has told bhabhi to get ready in red cloths as she is new bride ".
Raman nodded and the help went ,ishra freshened up soon and got ready . Ishita wore a red anarkali suit with red bindi ,her jewelries and lots of sindoor while Raman got ready wearing a blue kurta with white payjama . Soon both went down ,where daimaa was waiting for them .she instructed ishita to light the evening diya in house temple and then make her wear handful of choora instructing her to wear it till one month . Then she also make ishra play the ring game which of course ishita won by cheating while Raman smiled fully on her antics . The whole members , ishra , daimaa and rest of the helps were happy with this all .
