Because of all the insensitive and idiotic posts about this I just wanted to clarify.

Sridevi had received a Padmashree award which is the 3rd highest honor in India for contribution to her field. All Padmashree award winners are draped in the flag and get State honor funerals. There is no doubt about the extent of her contribution to cinema her award was very well deserved. And she therefore rightly deserved to be draped with the flag.
