Part 40 (Previous part : Part 39 )

"All right! Let's pour it out!"
"Let's do it! Let's do it!" The voice echoed in the background as her eyes stayed for a long time on the man she so missed last one week.
"Here we go!" Her father said to his customers while she get out of her apron and made her way towards the door and out of it.

Buttoning up her sweater, she neared him with surprise visible in her eyes as smile threatened to spread "What are you doing here?" She asked.
"I never had the chance to say goodbye!" He said with a straight look now "Or thank you! He added.
"You don't have to thank me!" She said with sincerity, looking in his eyes "I'm responsible for all this mess in the first place!" She continued as she bent her head.
"No! No! You just opened a door that needed to be opened!" He said as she looked at him "That's what a great reporter does!" He finished his line.
She simply smiled for his this comment.
"Pakhi showed me your blog online!" He added as he remembered.
"She did?" In surprise.
"Hmm" he hummed "Why didn't you publish it in your magazine?"
"Too much schmaltz!"
"Schmaltz?" He asked smiling.
"It means it was too sentimental!" Moving her hands in all directions "I wrote the truth about you, that you are Kind, compassionate. That you stole my cab and that you are going to rule from the heart"

He chuckled hearing her and as she looked up at him, their eyes met and silence prevailed.
"Pakhi misses you terribly He said with an earning look "So do I!" He added.
"I miss you too!" She replied with the same glance.
"A palace is a lonely place for a King without his Queen." And he went on his knees and pulled out a small red box as he continued "Do you know?" And opened the box, revealing a simple one stone ring.
She not knowing what to stay stammered "Bu But my whole life is here! In this place!" Looking here and there but not at him.
"Well we can come back as much as you want!" He answered still in the same position.
"But my career, I'm not ready to"
"I don't want to make you give up anything, Madhu!" He gave his words sincerely.
Facing him "I could never leave my father!" She said truthfully.
"I can give him his own wings in the palace. Or I could buy him his own diner in Canamaris." With a smile "Or we could just pick this up and move it there!" And both laughed and stops as the air around them changed to something new, something pleasant but still something was missing.

"How long do you plan to keep a King on his knees?" He asked making a hurt face.
"You haven't thought about this!" Taking his hand in hers as she pulled him up with a little force making him get up by himself while she continued "I mean, we barely know each other."
He with a look that spoke thousand times his words, said "I have never been more certain of anything in my life." and with a smirk, he added "And I have been known to be indecisive!" with a pleading face "Look, I know it's sudden" as she looked him with confusion as he continued "but I" he couldn't even finish his line as he got cut by her as she closed the space between them and especially between their lips as both entered the world of magic for few seconds before they broke their long time pending kiss.
"Is that a YES?" he asked her with a smile.
"Yes!" she looked in his eyes and continued "YES! Yes! Yes!" as he pulled her left hand up and put the ring in her finger which was reserved for this event to be adorned.
Looking her ring, happy tears formed in her eyes "Hey!" he said as he pulled her to himself.

"TEN! NINE! EIGHT! SEVEN! SIX!" and the counting started inside the restaurant which was heard outside.
Madhu's father who was among the crowd, turned and searched for his daughter, as he neared the main door, he saw his daughter happily being in the embrace of the person he recognized immediately, the Kind of Canamaris. With a happy smile, he turned back towards the crowd and joined the counting "THREE! TWO! ONE!" and everyone inside the restaurant screamed the wishes as cheers echoed outside.

The lovers who just now turned their relationship official, looked at each other, meeting their gaze. Don't know who took the first step, but all that mattered was them being close the next second, pressed onto each other, their lips locked together for a passionate kiss with his both hands placed on either sides of her face while her hands were locked around his neck as she stood on his feet while he deepen their New Year, New Life kiss with fireworks, Roman Candles coloring the sky above them, coloring their moment with lights.
No wishes was needed for them as blessing were adorned colorfully in the sky along with the presence of the moon who was witnessing the soulful KISS of the couple, where she belonged to him and he to her, to be only hers.

Narrator:
This is how the Prince became King! Her King!

Thank you so so much for the support and lovely words I got throughout this story.
And this trial of posting daily was one successful experience thanks to you all buddies. I will miss this story too but a good ending is always a good thing!

I don't know who all went to search for the film, if not, here is the title "A Christmas Prince"
I can't say if you will like it or not after reading this.
Hope I did justice to the film and added limited content so the essence I felt when I first watched it was there.

the proposal & the kiss & everything else was so dreamy
Malik saw them.. he obviously will be happy to see his daughter become a queen😆
