Sameer felt a new strength in him after that one call and he went off to sleep to start all over again the next day. Sameer was concentrating on his studies and the teachers were really surprised to see this changed Sameer. Soon the cricket matches were about to start and Sameer and Arjun had started sharing a good rapport during their practice sessions. Naina wanted to see him become the player of the tournament but outrightly she was only supporting her brother. One day while Sameer was searching for a book in the library, Kamya came there and stood close to him. Sameer moved away from her slighltly but she kept on coming closer.

Sameer: kya kar rahi ho Kamya? Koi book chahiye to dhoond lo na...

Kamya: main to sirf tumhe padna chahti hu Sameer...aur tum ho ki mujhse door door rehte ho...

Sameer : Kamya maine kaha na mujhse door khadi ho...yeh sab mujhe bilkul pasand nahi...

Kamya: achha tumhe pasand nahi... Kyun...kya kami hai mujhme? Khubsurat hu...achhe ghar se hu... tumhe pasand karti hu...school ke saare ladke marte hain mujhpar...

Sameer : hogi tum khubsurat...usse mujhe kya?

Kamya: tumhe kya? Kya matlab? Aisa mujhme kya nahi hai jo us Naina mein hai?

Sameer: tum Naina ko beech mein kyun la rahi ho?

Kamya: kyunki main jaanti hu ki poore trip mein tumhara dhyan sirf us behenji Naina pe tha... Aisa kya hai usme ... Dekhne mein hi behenji lagti hai...aur usne hi tumhe kitni baar saza dilwayi hai...

Sameer: bas Kamya ...Naina ke khilaaf ek shabd nahi sununga... Tum janna chahti ho na ki usme aisa kya hai? uske paas ek khubsurat dil hai...aur ek bahut intelligent brain hai jo dono hi tumhare paas nahi... Wo khud se zyada apne doston ki care karti hai... wo itni samajhdar hai ki tum uski barabari kabhi nahi kar sakti...samjhi tum...

Sameer went away annoyed with Kamya and she stood there disappointed ... All this convo was overheard by Swati who was passing across the library and had stopped to hear that after hearing Sameer and Kamya's voices. She wanted to know what this girl is upto now. She was quite relieved to see the way Sameer treated her and she went and told everything to Naina. Both of them were very happy with his response and Naina had a sense of relief inside her heart that Sameer was actually changing and he had starting seeing deeper than just outside beauty. Swati wanted to teach Kamya a lesson but Naina stopped her as she was not at all important for them. So they shouldn't waste their time on her. In the class after the lunch break Lochan Sir was discussing on the human traits that are important.

Lochan Sir: aisa kya hai tum sab socho aur batao jo sabse mehetvapoorna (important) hai kisi bhi insaan ke liye? Aisa kya hai jo ek insaan ko doosron se alag banata hai..

Munna: mera Pandat...(Swati looked at him angrily and he smiled to him...Lochan Sir didn't understand this indirect addressal to Swati)

Lochan Sir: arey Munna...yeh to bahut achhi baat hai ki tum apne dost Pandit ko sabse zyada mehetva dete ho...par main yeh nahi pooch raha... Sameer tum batao...

Sameer: Sir... humari sachai aur imaandari...apni galti ko accept karna aur use sudharne ki koshish karna hi sabse important hai

Lochan Sir: bahut khoob Sameer...bahut achha jawab diya tumne...baith jaao...(he sat down looking at Naina and she smiled to herself but Swati thought of teaching Kamya a lesson ).

Swati: par Sir kuchh logon ko lagta hai ki unki khubsurti sabse important hai... wo khubsurti se kuchh bhi haasil kar sakte hain...(looking towards Kamya)

Lochan Sir: theek kaha Swati ...aise bahut log hote hain...par fir unhe bhi aage chalke yeh samajh aa jaata hai ki khubsurti humesha nahi rehti...par khubsurat dil humesha humare saath rehta hai...

Swati: jee Sir...par yeh baat Kamya ko samajh nahi aayegi...haina Sir...

Kamya was shocked to hear her name directly and she felt very embarrassed in the class.

Lochan Sir: Swati...aise kisi ka naam lena theek baat nahi hai... chalo sorry bolo use...

Swati half heartedly said sorry to her but she was happy that she could teach her a lesson for what she did with Sameer. Naina and Swati both laughed looking at Kamya but Naina felt bad for her too. After the class Kamya came to confront Swati but she told her that she should be rather thankful to her that she didn't reveal the library incident with Sameer to Lochan Sir...otherwise the complaint would have gone directly to her parents. Kamya went away embarrassed and frustrated but couldn't say anything after this as she knew she had committed a mistake and Swati can give her complaint to Lochan Sir.

The days were passing and one by one the cricket matches were being played and Sameer and Arjun both were playing well in the matches. Their school was on the top of the charts and finally they entered the finals of the competition. Naina knew he had worked really hard to bring their school in the finals and wished he performed well in the final also. Sameer was getting anxious as the memories of the previous match where his Mom had left the ground just before the last ball kept haunting him. He was worried how would he manage to do it this time even if his Mom is not here? Nanu came to his room and asked him the reason for his restlessness and he told him everything.

Nanu: tu chinta mat kar beta... Dekh tune ek faisla kiya hai...hai na... to usme ab kamzor mat pad... agar teri Maa usme tere saath nahi hai to kya hua? Teri wo dost...jiske liye tu yeh sab kar raha hai...wo to hai na... tu uske liye achha kar aur jeetke dikha... aage chalke teri Maa ko bhi tujhpe garv hoga...yaad rakhna meri baat...aur is waqt tere liye apne aap ko prove karna sabse zyada important hai.

Sameer: aap theek kehte hain Nanu... main apni dost ke liye aur apne liye poori koshish karumga... main apni nazron mein dobara nahi girna chahta Nanu...aap dekh lena ...hum kal zaroor jeetenge...

He woke up early morning and went to the temple as he needed the blessings from the Almighty. After this he went to the school and the cricket match started. As the cricket match was going on, Naina was sent by the teacher to look at the arrangements for the snacks for the lunch for all the students. Although she didn't want to...but she couldn't say no to the teacher. The second innings was ongoing and their school team had their turn for batting. Sameer was repeatedly looking at the vacant seat where Naina was sitting and just wished she comes back and sees them win. Even Naina was restless and she was trying to finish rhe work soon as she too remembered the previous match where he missed the last ball when his mother had left (he had told tis to her during one of their conversation ). She ran to the cricket ground immediately as her work was over and there just the second last ball was being bowled with 6 runs to be made for winning the match.

Arjun was at the striking end and he hit the ball and took one run...they could have ran for the second but he stopped and Sameer was now at the striking end...everyone was cheering for Sameer and his eyes were searching for Naina... As soon as he saw her coming and sitting there...he took a sigh of relief and thanked his destiny for giving him a second chance and he had his inspiration right there in front of him. He felt a new energy inside him and as the last ball was bowled...he hit that hard and it went for a straight six... and and and ...to the delight of the entire school, they had one the match and everyone from their team lifted Sameer up on their shoulders. Munna and Pandit were very happy and excited and they both ran to the ground and all 3 of them hugged each other and started jumping in excitement.

Sameer was constantly looking towards Naina who was clapping there and had tears of happiness in her eyes. He felt as if he could atleast face her now...after all it was she who had only convinced the Principal for his selection and now that he could help their team in winning the match...her efforts had paid off. Everyone was very happy today and the principal was all praise for his team for the win today. While the Principal was giving his speech in the end...Naina was waiting anxiously to hear his name being announced as the player of the tournament. Finally that moment came and Sameer's name was announced as the player of the tournament...Sameer went up the stage to collect his trophy...he touched the feet of the Principal and he handed him over his trophy .

Principal: beta tumne dikhaya hai pradarshan kuchh aisa khaaas...main bas kahunga shabash shabash shabash... (and he placed his hand on sameer's head as his blessing and Sameer came down the stage).

The entire team was celebrating their victory and Munna was clicking the pictures of the entire cricket team with his camera. After lunch the school ended and everyone went to their homes. Sameer went to Arjun and asked him why didn't he take the chance of hitting the last ball when he could? Arjun told him that it was only Sameer who deserved to get this chance as he had really worked hard for this day and this way he could relieve himself to some extent for stealing the exam papers and the entire blame coming onto Sameer only. Sameer hugged Arjun and both of them became friends now...and Arjun once again said sorry to Sameer for that incident. But Sameer as usual said... doston mein no sorry...no thank you... to iski ab koi zaroorat nahi hai.. and they went home.

At home Nanu was desperately waiting for Sameer to know the result and as he entered...he knew by the excitement in his voice that they had won the match. Nanu told him that he knew that this would only happen and that he was proud of his grandson today. He wanted to give Sameer a surprise and he was excited to know what it was...he told him to go to his room and check out for himself and he went running upstairs. To his surprise he saw Vishakha sitting there and waiting for him.

Sameer: aap? Aap yahan kaise?

Vishakha: kyun...main apne bete se milne nahi aa sakti kya? Aaj mera beta itna important match jeet kar aaya hai... apni Maa ke gale nahi lagoge?

Nanu came there and told him that his Mom was feeling guilty for her behaviour and wanted to say sorry to him and that's why she has come to meet him. But Sameer said that instead he should be saying sorry and not his Mom and he said sorry to Vishakha for all his misbehaviour till now. She hugged him and told him that she was really prould of her son today and wished him all the success and happiness in future. She also had brought a new bike for him...he was very happy to get that bike from his Mom and he thanked her. Sameer thought to himself that his real happiness lies in the forgiveness from Naina...and that means everything to him. He was determined to get that one day and he would do anything for that. The day isn't far away when he would be able to go upto Naina and ask for her friendship once again. He spent the rest of the day with his Mom and Nanu.
