Part 3:
Mehak quietly walked towards the parking lot of the hotel and cried her out. She wanted to be alone plus she did not want to create a scene in front of her colleagues. She was disappointed at herself more for the sole reason that she had no right to be upset with Shaurya; he never made any promises to her. It was her fault that she had fallen in love with a man who had no clue about her feelings. However, it still pained her to see him with Nikita and no matter what she couldn't erase the memory of the lipstick mark on his collar.
She was silently weeping in a corner when Kunal spotted her in the parking lot.
Kunal walked up to her and said: Mehak, what are you doing here?
Mehak realizing that Kunal might see her tears quickly wiped them and faked: Nah nothing, was talking on the phone.
Kunal could make out from her stricken face that she was lying. He held her shoulders lightly and made her look at him: Are you alright? I didn't see you talking on the phone?
Mehak smiled: Yes, I am alright. Why would you say so?
Kunal suspiciously: Were you crying?
Mehak knew she was caught. To avoid his gaze, she turned and started fidgeting with her phone and said: Nah wasn't crying just got a little emotional seeing all this!
Kunal cocked an eyebrow at her reply: Emotional? For an event like this?
Mehak turned and looked at him smilingly: Ha, all our hard work for this event has finally paid off and we all got such an overwhelming response for it. Don't you think so?
Kunal still wasn't convinced with her answer. Since he was taller than Mehak, he bend down a little to look at her face. She was constantly looking down pretending to be on her phone trying to hide her tears from him. He placed his hand on her face angling her face to look at him. Anyone who would be seeing these two from behind would think that they were having a cozy moment and sharing a kiss something that Shaurya misinterpreted too.
Mehak wiped her tears and assured Kunal with her eyes that she was fine and wanted to be alone. Kunal nodded and left from the place on his bike.
Shaurya who had just reached the parking lot to get his car saw the entire scene and assumed that Mehak and Kunal were kissing each other. He fisted his hand in anger seeing Mehak with another guy. He didn't know why but his blood boiled seeing them together and so close.
After Kunal left, Shaurya walked up behind Mehak and taunted: He is gone!
Mehak who had her back towards him was startled when he spoke. She turned and stared at him trying to understand his words.
Mehak fumbled: I...I...
Shaurya smirked: You should have left with him or were you waiting for the party to get over? I assure you Ms. Sharma I m not as bad as you all think I am. I would have given you the permission to spend some time with him. You didn't have to do this "PDA.
Shaurya said so while making quote marks in the air. A tear tricked down Mehak's cheek when she understood that he was mocking her.
She excused herself and made her way towards the banquet hall. Shaurya grabbed her hand and pushed her to a nearby wall.
Mehak said struggling with his strong hold: I want to leave Sir, please let me go.
Shaurya grabbed hold of her wrists with both hands, lifting them over her head.
Mehak was shocked with his reaction: What are you...
Pining her hands against the wall, he kissed her on her lips. Mehak was shocked. She struggled in his hold trying to push him with her legs.
Shaurya stopped and looked into her eyes waiting for some sign of disapproval or anger but there was none. He released his hold on her hands and cupped her face. He bent his head towards hers gently taking her mouth. He deepened the kiss releasing his pent up frustration and desire at the same time igniting the fires of passion within her. Mehak was first surprised but she couldn't hold herself when Shaurya started kissing her passionately. His passion melted her resistance and she clung to him against his chest closing her eyes savouring this moment with him. She shuddered with heat exploding in her abdomen.
When at last his mouth left hers, he rested his forehead against hers and said: Was my kiss better than his?
It took few seconds for Mehak to register the meaning of his words and the accusation that he was throwing at her. She pushed him and slapped him hard across the cheek.
His face was red and his cheek tingled with that slap. She tried to go past him but he grabbed her arm and pushed her towards the wall again.
Her vision was blurry with tears which spilled over the sides of her eyes. A whimper escaped her lips and she said painfully: let me go Sir, please!
Shaurya angrily: Why did you slap me?
Her eyes bled with pain: I am sorry for slapping me, just let me go.
She struggled again but his hold got tighter with her struggles. He held her wrists firmly and said: I asked you the reason; not your apology, so answer me Ms. Mehak Sharma, why did you slap me?
Mehak crying: Because you accused me of kissing Kunal when I hadn't...
Shaurya screamed: And you accused me of the same with Nikita!
Mehak shouted back: I did coz I had evidence
Staring directly at her, he demanded: Oh really! Would you please tell me the evidence that you are talking about?
She grabbed hold of his shirt collar: I am talking about this evidence Shaurya. Do I have to say more?
He looked at where her hand was and was shocked to see the red lipstick mark.
With a surprised look, Shaurya said: I have no clue when Nikita kissed me on my shirt..Trust me Mehak, I didn...
She pushed him and said angrily: Trust you and why should I? I saw you with Nikita Mam in your bedroom and you guys were hugging each other. I am not a kid Shaurya.
Shaurya tried to recall everything that had happened in his room an hour back. After a lot of thinking, he realized that Nikita might have purposely kissed him when he was looking for his shirt in the cupboard.
Shaurya: Yes, Nikita did it!
Mehak was shocked with the nerve of this man to accept that he had wronged.
Before she could speak, Shaurya interrupted: She did it, I didn't. She hugged me from behind when I was looking for my shirt. I had pushed her when she had leaned onto me but of course, you didn't see that scene coz you entered my room after I had done that. You assumed that we were sharing an intimate moment with each other which we weren't. Why on earth would I be doing that with her?
Mehak: And you misunderstood the same when you saw me with Kunal. We weren't kissing. He was just consoling me as I was crying. That's it! Why would I kiss him?
She said angrily while poking her finger at his chest.
Shaurya angrily: I was trying to tell you the same that you misunderstood the entire scene but you did not let me speak.
Mehak cried: But you never say anything...I don't understand your silence Shaurya!
She couldn't hold back her tears any longer. Shaurya wrapped one hand around her waist pulling her closer and with the other hand, he wiped her eyes and made her look at him: If you wouldn't understand my silence, then who would Mehak? I am not good at words and I can never be but I want to try.
Mehak looked at him in surprise.
Mehak: Shaurya, I...
Shaurya placed his finger on her lips and shushed her: Let me complete Mehak, please! You know that I am a man of few words but I want to talk and express. I guess I should have done all this before when you joined my hotel as an assistant chef. Do you think I never noticed tht you were silently keeping tabs on my food habits making sure that I had eaten my lunches and dinners during meetings? Do you think that I never noticed how you would cajole Rajeev Bhai to keep an eye on me during meetings so that I don't over work and stress myself?
He tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and said: Mehak, we both know that we have something between us a thread that pulls us strongly towards each other. I don't know what this feeling is called but I know that feeling has something to do with you coz every time you are around me, my heart beats faster. I smile when I see you smile. I can't stop myself from looking into your brown eyes. They attract me towards them. I love listening to you talk. I need some time Mehak to understand all these emotions coz emotions and Shaurya Khanna have had no relation and equation so far! I want to spend some time with you to understand what this feeling is. Would you give me a chance to express something I am still unsure about?
As he gazed lovingly into her eyes, he could see tears brimming.
Shaurya leaned towards her: Mehak, I...
Before he could kiss her, Mehak's phone rang. Mehak who was still reeling in the magic of his innocent and honest confession was brought back to reality with the ringing of her phone.
Shaurya glanced at her phone to see the caller id. He angrily released his hold on her when he saw the name.
Mehak looked at him and reluctantly answered the phone: Yes, Kunal.
Shaurya had his back against her avoiding meeting her eyes lest she says his anger.
Mehak: I am fine Kunal, you don't need to come. I will go back home. Thank you! Bye!
She walked and stood in front of Shaurya: Gotta go!
Shaurya angrily turned behind when Mehak held his hand. He looked first at her hand and then at her.
Mehak: I said "we gotta go maybe you didn't hear the we' that I had said.
Shaurya smiled hearing her: You didn't say that.
Mehak smilingly: Kya sab baatein kehni hoti hai Shaurya?
A genuine smile formed on his lips. Holding her hand firmly, they made there way towards his car.
Mehak thinking: It took me a year to realize that what I feel for you is love Shaurya , you don't need words to express them. Tumhari baaton ko samjhne ke liye tumhari aankhen hi kaafi hai. I would wait for that day when you could name this feeling as "LOVE for me even if that means waiting till eternity for you. It is rightly said. "Love doest need words to express, it is felt through actions. I love you and my love will be enough for the two of us.
She intertwined her hands with his and looped her other arm with his holding him tightly. Shaurya pulled her closer and embarked on their new journey a journey to discover and experience love!
