Ru - I will go and inform mumma ,nahi to unhe bura lagega ,haina dadi .Main jaaon papa .
Raman nodded and ruhi ran towards iyer house ,she went directly to ishita's room and spoke making a puppy face " sorry ishita mamma "
Ishita was surprised and asked opening her arms for little ruhi" why are you saying sorry bachchu ".
Ru- ishita mumma ,today I cannot sleep with you isliye sorry .
I- (embracing her in her arms )- lekin kyun betu .
Ru- because today I m sleeping with papa .
I- oh ho ,that's great news ,so ruhi is going to sleep with her papa .
Ru-(excitedly)- yes and papa told that he has brought some gifts and a big chocolate for me ,aur pata hai unhone ye bhi kaha that I m his princess .
I- aisa bola kya .
Ru- haan aisa hi bola .
I- wah wah ,that means ruhi's father love her a lot .
Ru- humm he told me that also .
I- ye to bahut achchi baat hai .now go to your house ,papa must be waiting for you .
Ru- oh haan ,main to bhool hi gayi thi .
Saying so she smacked her forehead and was about to leave when she came back again and spoke " main bhi bilkul buddhu hoon ,sabkuch bhool jaati hoon ".
I- now what you forget .
Ruhi didn't answered her rather pecked on ishita's cheek and went mouthing " good night mamma " while ishita smiled at her antic and answered " good night betu ".
Soon Ruman were on bed ,Raman showed her the dresses and games he had brought for ruhi ,then he gave her a big chocolate ,ruhi wanted to eat her then itself but Raman convinced her to eat in morning . Then both of them lays on bed ,Raman asked her about her school and friends ,ruhi got chance and started telling him everything about her school ,friends ,madam and mostly about ishita . Her every talk went to ishita ,ishita mamma does this ,ishita mamma does that ,she has told me this ,she has told me that everything and Raman was noticing how much she is affected by ishita or say how much ishita cares for ruhi that she is so much influenced by ishita .After much talking ruhi finally slept while Raman was thinking about ishita and her words ,he wanted to thank ishita for telling his ruhi's condition and her craving about him while on the other hand ishita too wanted to talk to him to know about ruhi and also to thank him for considering her request to spend sometime with ruhi but she was reluctant . She dialed his number one or two times but disconnected the call scaring about his reaction ,finally she dropped the idea of talking to him and lays on bed to sleep .That's when her phone rang ,she made a dirty face and spoke making faces " nahi ,I don't wanna go for emergency now ,if its call from clinic I will deny " .
Saying so he picked her phone lazily but next moment she smiled shyly seeing the caller ,she picked the phone the phone quickly before it get disconnected and spoke meekly " hello".
Raman called her name to confirm " ishita ".
I- humm .
R- its Raman .
I- I know ,you in this late hours ?
R- actually wanted to thank you .
I- for what ?
R- for your advice and scolding too ,today I have seen the real happiness in my daughters face ,she was too happy with me ,so I thought to thank you .
I- u r welcome but that was not needed .and I didn't scold you was just telling you that rooh needs your attention .
R- yeah I noticed that and promise will try to take care of her as much as possible .
I- wanted to ask you something .
R- tell me ?.
I- actually me and rooh had made a shopping plan last week ,can I m take her with me .
R- why are you asking me ?
I- we had already asked mummy ji ,she is ready but now as you have come , wanted to ask to you also .
R- ishita we are getting married for her so you too have equal right on her ,you don't have to ask my permission .
I- ok ,then I can take her na .
R- why not .chalo bye good night .
I- bye good night .
Both hung the call then ishita smiled like maniac and spoke to herself " thode sadu hai par achche hain ".
Saying so she hugged the pillow tight and closed her eyes to catch some sleep . Next day Ishru went for shopping after ishita's clinic while Raman was still in office . Their mother talked about ishra and fixed their roka and engagement next day as Raman will be returning the day after tomorrow. After fixing everything toshiji called Raman informed about his engagement ,he made faces and told " ma I m marrying na, on your instance then why the hell you want to celebrate each and everything ".
T- puttar that's my point ,if you are marrying them you have to follow every ritual ,marriage is not a joke but it consist of many rituals which has some significance in our life's ,so you have to do this marriage with all the rituals .
R- whatever ,if you have decided everything then why are you asking me .
T- I m informing you to come soon as we have to go to market to bring some cloths and jewelries for ishita along with other important thing .
R- ma please ,ye sab aap khud kar lijiye ,why are you dragging me into this all.
T- because its necessary ,its for your marriage so you have to come and go shopping with me ,that's it .
Saying so she hung the call without listening to him ,Raman made a irritated face and wrapped his work to accompany his mother for shopping . Soon toshiji and Raman were on same shopping mall where Ishru were . Ishita didn't saw them but ruhi noticed Raman and ran to him ,ishita saw ruhi running and ran behind her calling ruhi's name but she didn't stop . Ruhi reached Raman and stopped ,she called Raman pulling his pant ,he saw her and picked her in his arms ,as ruhi has seen Raman and was running to reach him she stopped when she reached near Raman but ishita cannot ,as she was running blindly behind ruhi and got banged with Raman ,the trio was about to fall with sudden jerk but they got support of wall, Raman wrapped his arms protectively around Ishru while they closed their eyes tightly . After getting sure that ,they are safe Ishru opened their eyes while Raman scolded them " why you people are running blindly ".
Ru- main nahi papa ,mamma . I ran because I saw you and we were ok , it was mamma who banged with us .
Before raman can say anything ,Ishita spoke meekly " I was behind ruhi following her ,I didn't saw you just saw her running ,sorry ".
R- you should be careful .
I; will be, from next time .
They were talking when toshiji came in search of Raman and saw Ishru ,she got excited and said " its nice ishita that you are here ,ye Raman to bekaar hai ,you come and choose things as per your choice ".
I- main ,why ?
Toshiji told everything to ishita , listening to her ishita denied and said " no mummyji ,you go and get things for me as per your choice ,Jo aapki pasand wohi meri hogi ".
T- but ishita ..
I- no mummy ji ,you choose as per your choice ,this is your right aur yahi sahi bhi hai . I m going you continue .
Saying so she bid adieu to bhalla's and went leaving ruhi with them, Raman noticed that ishita is not money minded ,if some other girl would be there in her place ,she would have gone and choose the most gorgeous and expensive things but ishita denied straight, he was thinking looking at her retreating figure when toshiji spoke " I told you na ,she is a nice girl "
Raman ruffled his hairs and made way to jewelry shop to buy engagement ring . Soon they were done with their shopping and went back .
Next day Bhalla's went to iyer house at fixed time,iyers welcomed them happily, they entered the house and saw it was beautifully decorated with colorful flowers and balloons ,while some of the society people were there .Raman made a dirty face looking to the peoples and spoke leaning towards his mother " ma I already told you na that I wanted a simple engagement, why these decorations and guests are there ."
T- puttar its engagement ,which is not a small thing ,we are not doing it huge but ishita is their only daughter and they had invited their guests and relatives . only few are there and decoration is also average. Isse jyada simple aur kya hoga ,tu chup rah .
They were still talking when Panditji called ishita ,amma told a girl to bring ishita ,soon she was brought . Raman was sitting with a grumpy face as he was not liking all this but the moment he saw ishita his expression changed . She was looking too beautiful in her attire .She was wearing orange color kanjiwaram saree with matching gold jewelries ,her long hairs were tied in bun while it was beautifully decorated with flower strings. She was looking too beautiful and ethereal in her attire while her blush and shyness was adding glory to her look .She walked to him with slow steps and stood beside him, Panditji signalled him to stand along with her ,then did some puja with the rings which was kept in the beautiful tray decorated with flowers .
Then instructed ishra to make each other wear the ring ,they followed his instructions ,at first Raman slides ring in her ring finger, then she too did same completing the ritual of engagement ,all clapped happily while ruhi danced in front of ishra ,clapping and singing " mamma papa ki shadi ho gayi ,mumma papa ki shaadi ho gayi ".
Romi picked her in his arms and spoke " nahi buddhu abhi shaadi nahi hui its just engagement ,shaadi kuch din baad ".
Ru(innocently)- then mamma will not come to our house with us .
Ro- not now but after sometimes.
Her face fell listening to this whole ishita take her in her arms and started making her understand ,soon ruhi understood and started enjoying the function while Raman looked at ishita and thought " she is so beautiful , educated too ,family is also good ,she is a nice girl with every quality ,a perfect choice for every boy then why she is marrying me ? a divorcee , father of a kid ,so rude and arrogant ,I m just so imperfect for her . then why the hell she is marrying me ?
He was lost in his thoughts when the ritual of roka started and he forget about it .ishita sat in the couch while toshiji covered her head with heavy dupptta and gave cloths ,jewelries and all the things they bought for her while ishita bend and take her blessing. Soon the rituals ended and all went back to their home happily.
