CHAPTER 40

At Rudra's room, he closed door behind & says stay here, I'll be back. She asks why? He glares at her & says I don't want to share anything with you. She says I want to know, bec.., because now you're angry on Kakisa for insulting me. Anger rose in him & says I'm the only one person have rights to torture you, not others. Tears filled in her eyes & asks why Major Saab, why? Sobs. He comes to her & stands in front of her & looking at her without saying anything. She sobs & asks where is my Rudra? Who are you? He smirks & says Jallad is back and left her alone. She sobs hard.

Parvati says maasa, thanks, thank you so much. Geethanjali says your Major Saab is not at a good actor, so don't worry about him. Parvati hugs her. She cares her hair & says have faith in your heart that you will get your husband. Parvati nods. She says we'll meet tomorrow, Parvati nods. She asks where is my granddaughter? She says with Maithili jeeja. Mala came there with Rathna & says she is with me.

At hall, Geethanjali says Rudra, take care. Rathna is resting in Paro's shoulder. He nods. She asks Parvati to give Rathna. Parvati says she is sleeping maasa. Geethanjali says I know, Paro this is your marital house, I felt that I want Rathna back in your mom's house. Paro felt broken, she really want to be with Rathna, but Situation pushed her away from her sister daughter. Geethanjali says you're always welcome to meet your Rathna. Paro half-heartedly smiled at her. Geethanjali take Rathna from her.

At night, Paro arranged bed, Rudra come & stand at opposite side of bed. He saw her setting bed, he opened cupboard & take out pillows, he placed it on mid of bed. She smiles and asks what are you doing? He says its mine & that side is your's. He lay down on his side. She cares pillows & thought I want to hold your hand, Major Saab. She lay down on her side, facing his back, "please turn, Major saab whispers under her breath. Within few seconds he turns in his sleep, she smiles & closes her eyes.

It's almost mid night, Rudra's sleep got disturbed, he turns to see what happen? His wife is quaking because of her nightmare, deep into her nightmare, she shouts don't kill my child, she cried, he holds her but she didn't stop moving so he pinned her under him & holds her both hands in his to stop her, tears flowed from her closed eyes freely, he softly says Shhh,. Shant Paro & softly kissed her eyes one by one. She calms down, he shift his weight in bed but still holding her in his arms. She slowly opened her eyes & saw him, he assured her & says it was a dream don't be afraid. She cares her flat belly.

Rudra is still in confusion, he thought that maybe she is affected by Rathna separation, she didn't sleep, she still holding his hand in her & staring something. He asks her to go to sleep, she didn't say anything, he adjust her pillow & says sleep Paro, without seeing him, she says I saw you in my dreams, almost 17 years, I saw you in my dreams, I'm afraid of you because of my hate for BSD. He listens her. She continued, after that day, when we need at desert, next day I dreamt of you, the same dream but this time I saw your face clearly. He thought why she is sharing this with him. She says after that, the same dream didn't hunted me.

She holds his hand tightly & moves their interlocked hands to her flat belly, she cried, he holds her in his arms & says don't worry, it's just a dream, Paro. She shook her head & says after you pacified me at hospital, he recalls how he holds her in his arms & makes her calm down & nods. She says that dream is not disturbed me. He sharply exhales, she says but today I saw, she closed her eyes. He says don't be afraid Paro, nothing happen to you. She says someone try to kill... sobs hard in his arms. He cares her to pacify her & says I'm here with you, no one come near you still I alive. She says he try to kill our child... he says Rathna is fine Paro, Geethanjali maamii'll take good care of her.

She shook her head & says our child is in... she touched her flat belly with his hand in her's. Rudra is stunned as well as confused too, she hides her face in his crook of neck & sobs. He says nothing happen to our child, I'm here with you, don't worry Paro. Few hours, they are stayed like hugging each other, he felt her breath became normal & slowly adjusted her into pillow. He rest his head in headboard & saw his wife. She is still holding his hand. He is thinking about it & sleep eluted.

Its morning, Rudra wake up before Paro & getting ready to go somewhere. He come to Paro who is peacefully sleeping, he calls her few time but she didn't respond, he touched her arms to wake her up. She had fever, he thought. He shakes her to wake up but she is unconscious. He lifts her in his arm & rushed to car. Family members are witnessed it but no one questioned him. He drove to hospital.

At hospital, Doctor checked Parvati & came to Rudra. He asks what happen Doctor? Doctor says she is fine, don't worry, I think she is afraid of something, that's why this sudden fever. He says yes, still morning she holds my hand in her's when I wake up, she is fine. Doctor says don't worry, usually kids are had this kind of fever when they afraid, I think she is also kid till now. He says Doctor I have some doubts? Doctor nods.

He explained about her nightmares. Doctor says maybe it's her illusion or something that she got power to know about future. He didn't satisfied with her answer. Doctor says it's just a joke, Mister Rudra, after counselling, you got to know about your wife's nightmare problem. He asks when she'll wake up, she says within an hour.

Rudra sits besides his wife & holds her hand in his. He whispers I don't want to hurt you, Paro, but this mess in my life created by you, I didn't have other choices Paro, I want you in my life but what you did to me, is not fair Paro, you're same like her, she(Mala) lift me when I need her BUT I don't want to lose you Paro. He rest his head in their interlocked hand. He says you're not like her (Laila), don't even think you like that, you're my wife, not someone else. A drop of his tear touched her hand.

Her eyeball moves under her eyelid. Her hands are trembling, he saw her and pats her cheek & says Paro. She slowly opens her eyes & breathed his name "Major Saab. He smiles at her & calls Doctor. After few minutes, Doctor calls Rudra in her cabin. She says Rudra, she is gone through so much pain in her life, her parents death & their funeral take in front of her, orphan life, she missed her friends, I felt pity for her, she got everything after she meet with you, but you too hurt her. He felt guilt & says I don't what to compel... she says I felt pity, how dare you throw her out of your house, he is confused.

Doctor says your wife is fine, she need peaceful & happy life as she dreamt in her childhood. Paro come to Doctor's cabin, Rudra saw her & angrily says who called you here, go & take rest. Doctor smiles & says she is perfectly fine, Mister. She says come in & asks her to sit. Paro waits for Rudra's reply, he nodded at her, and she come in & sits. Doctor gave him prescription & says she needs happiness, hope your new beginning will make her life colourful, happy married life. They left.

Journey back to haveli was silent, he stopped car in front of haveli gate. They walked inside, he says get ready Paro, we are going to meet Geethanjali maami. She felt happy & nodded. She gave him his kurta & asks him to change it. He don't want to change but for her sake he changed. She is wearing her earring. He come out dressing room after changing into his kurta & asks Paro is breakfast ready? She is shocked that how she forgot it. She says sorry, Major Saab, wait a minute, I'll bring it & rushed out.

She served his breakfast, he saw her who is still standing in front of him. She is confused about his expression & asks are you want anything else. He nods & says one more plate. She bring it & give to him. He put his roti into that plate & asks her to sit. She sits & he gave it to her and asks her to eat. She is overjoyed, her eyes are filled with tear. She bites her roti & says my maasa. He saw her, she says maasa always gave me her roti like you did today, she wipes her tear & says thank you, Major Saab.

At service center, Geethanjali give adoption papers to a couple & asks them to sign it. They signed it. She says Congrats for your new beginning, your chotte is always your's hereafter. Samrat & Maithili smiled at her with her tear filled eyes, Maithili folds her hand at Geethanjali, she holds her hand & shook her head. Geethanjali gave Chotte to her. Samrat thanked her. Geethanjali says Beda, take good care of your child, Maithili emotionally says she is mine.

After breakfast, he gave her tablet, she says I'm fine Major Saab. He says but you have to take it for few days. She makes her face & says it's bitter, I didn't like it. He shook his head & took glass of water from side tablet. He says I'll help you, she shakes her head as no. He give water & tablet to her & says sip some water and put tablet & drink water again you won't feel its bitterness anymore. She did it as per his instruction & smile at him. She says it was a superb idea Major Saab, no more bitterness, thank you Major Saab. Once again he is awestruck by her child like behaviour.

At V.K's house, Geethanjali does PaRud aarti & welcome them in. Rudra sits in sofa with V.K. Paro is playing with Rathna. V.K says I'm not happy with the way you married my daughter but her happiness showed me that she is extremely happy with you. Rudra saw Paro who isn't aware about their talk. Geethanjali says Rudra, I invited very few friends & relatives for this function, and he says no problem mami. Hall is started filled with relatives of Geethanjali & V.K. and all are gossiped about PaRud marriage.

Paro felt sad, Rudra come to her & hold her hand, and he drags her with him. They stand in mid of hall. Rudra says don't gossip about our marriage, we are married in hurriedly, we didn't have other choices to do it slowly, we are in love so we decided to marry, we did it as per our wish. His last few words are touched her heart, her eyes are fixed on him. He asks is there any other problem for you all? They felt guilt, one of the relative come to him & says sorry Rudra for what we did.

All friends & relatives are left after spending some time with newly wedded couple. At dining hall, table is occupied with variety of foods, Geethanjali served them, and Rudra asks her to sit with them & served for himself with noodles. She took Noodles bowl from him, he says Paro, its noodles you didn't like it. She smiles & placed it in table. He gave her parata bowl. V.K & Geethanjali smiles at them.

Meanwhile Shatabdi's house, her brother gave some papers and key. She says it's our Happy Wedding papers bhaiya. He nods & says this was my gift for your marriage. Sumer is shocked & says it's not necessary, I don't want this... her brother cuts him by saying that it's her mother's gift. She gets emotional & tears falls from her eyes. Her brother wipes it & says don't worry about me, I got a job so we are planning to go to Mumbai, hereafter this Happy Wedding belongs to you. She hugs him. Her brother cares her hair.

Sumer says Shabi, I didn't want this gift, I don't anything from your family expect you. She nods & says but we need to work together, hereafter we are partners of Happy Wedding, you're a working partner & I'm your life partner. He smiled at her & hugs her by sideway.

In night, Mohini is shouting & taunting Maithili and Samrat. Dilsher, Danveer supported the couple who are blessed with baby. Sumer & Shatabdi stands like statue in hall. Mala stands beside Maithili. Outside Rudra parked his bike, Paro heard Mohini's shouting, she moved to hall where all are gathered & arguing about something then her eyes spotted Chotte in Maithili's hand. Paro thought that is jeeja adopted Chotte? She runs to her. Mohini warned Paro before she talk about it. Rudra heard it when he enter into door.

Rudra spotted his wife middle of crowd, standing before Maithili Bhabi, to help her. He walked towards her wife then his eyes landed on the person who is standing next to Maithili. His steps are slowed because of fear of facing his nightmare. Now he is standing near at Mala. Mohini spotted him & shouts I'm not like Rudra to accept this illegal child in my house. All are turned to Rudra who is standing face to face with Mala. She is shocked to her core.

All are forgot about Rudra even Paro too because of Mohini's temper. Mohini thought now everything is over, tonight Mala is out of this haveli & tomorrow I'll throw this illegal child out. Rudra is standing & staring Mala who is stressed, Dilsher come to her side & holds her hand. Rudra saw his father's loving behaviour towards Mala. His angry emits in his eyes & asks what's going on Ranawat.

All are taken aback by Rudra's shouting, Mohini coolly smirked and thought I need to take rest now, oont is there to do everything as per my wish. Dilsher says Rudra, calm down, we'll talk. Danveer cares his shoulder to calm him down. Paro holds his one hand & says Major Saab, Shant. He says I don't want to talk, I don't want her in my life, I don't want this illegal, characterless woman in my life. Dilsher shouts Rudra.

Rudra asks what happen to you Ranawat? You are the one who told me about this characterless woman's betrayal & now your supporting her, did you trust her?, no I know you won't trust any beautiful woman like her, don't trust her & don't trust her lies because she is a big lie in our life Ranawat. He turns to Mala & shouts get out. She took a step backward. Again he turns to Dilsher & says don't trust her lies & her daughter, what name is that, han Mitra, she is not your daughter. Dilsher slapped Rudra. All are shocked & stunned.

Rudra cares his cheek & says Ranawat, this is not new for me, I got much from you in my childhood, didn't you remember it, I remember each and everything how you treat me because of her ill behaviour, if you have rights to beat me as much as you want, but don't trust her again, she'll spoil everything. Mala says beta, he points his finger at her face & his red eyes shows his rage for her & says just shut up and got out. Dilsher says you didn't have the rights to say that, I'm the owner of this haveli. Rudra says theek hai Ranawat, if you want her to stay under this same roof, I'll stay out, now it's in your hand to decide it.

Mala says beta, listen to me once, he angrily points his finger at her & walked towards gate. He stops in gate without turning, he says Ranawat, you have one night time to decide, your son or this characterless woman. Dilsher angrily says Rudra. Rudra walked out without listening him. Paro holds Mala's hand & says don't worry Maasa, he'll come back to here & back to you too. Mala sadly smiled at her. Paro says Bhabusa, I want to go to Major saab. Dilsher nodded.

Rudra started his bike, Paro runs to him & stops Rudra's bike and ask him to come in Major Saab, Rudra says with which right you're asking me to come in? Paro says I am your wife and I have right, he says it's a fake marriage, just by seeing me in your parents' house, don't see dreams. Paro says it's all true not a dream, our relation is true & I have rights to stop you. Rudra says I lost my job & now you want me to lose my dignity too. Paro says okay, you are the one who brought me here so I don't want to stay here without you, take me with you Major Saab. Rudra don't want to listen her & says leaves from there, Paro gets sad & walked away from his way. He kicked his bike & she sits behind him.

Rudra shouts Paroo. She says I want to be with you, I don't want anything which is not belongs to my husband, go to where ever you want but please take me with you. She hugs him from behind & says chaloo. He sharply exhales & drove to his old house.

At old house, both of them are tensed to see each other, the memories of their consummated day haunted them. He sits on sofa, she goes to their bedroom & caress bed, memories are flowed in her mind, her face become red & breathe heavily. He don't want to recall any sweet memory because he faced his bitter memory few minutes back so he decide to consume alcohol. He found his old wine bottle & take a glass from kitchen. Paro heard vessels sound.

She rushed to see him, he sits in hall with wine & pour it in glass. She come to him & sits beside him. He says go away from me Paro, I don't want to hurt you. She holds his cheek in her palm & says I know, you won't hurt me in your drunken state too, but I don't want this, Major Saab. She hugs him & says if you want, cry your heart out. He breaks hugs & says I don't want to remember her, so I want to forget about myself.

She hugs him again & says only one night you want to forgot about your mother. He says she is not my mother. She says okay, but you need to face it. He says Paro, please leave me. She hugs him tighter & says I can't Major Saab. He hugs her tightly & asks why Paro? She is confused, he asks why you loving a jallad? I'm not good Paro, she cares his back & hair and says you're my Rudra, not jallad. His lips cares her shoulder. He says leave me Paro, otherwise I do something bad with you.

Paro's face become red, she understood his words inner meaning, she controls her emotions & says so again my Rudra want to run away from this problem, I know it breaks you a lot but you need to stand and face this situation Major Saab. He cries in her arms & says I don't want her in my life, Paro. She says Major Saab, please give one chance to maasa. He breaks hugs & grits his teeth. She holds his face in her palm & makes him face her.

Paro says Major Saab, tonight you want to escape from this problem but what will you do in upcoming nights, are you want to run again and again. He holds her hand & removed it from his chin. His eyes are showing mixed emotions of confusion & anger. He asks you want me to live with her, under single roof. She says not like that Major Saab, give her a chance to explain her part, I felt that she deserves a chance. He says Ranawat may forgive her but I won't. She says okay, clam down Major Saab.

At their bed room, Paro makes him lay down on bed & asks him to sleep. He holds her hand in his & says I can't Paro, sleep is far away from me tonight. She smiles & asks shall I sing lullaby for you. He slightly smiled at her who is resting her head in headboard & humming lullaby song which was her favorite in her childhood, her free hand caring his hair lovingly. He adjusted himself in her lap & hold her hand near at his heart. Few minutes later, he slept and she saw his sleeping profile & kissed his forehead softly. She thought that I know Major Saab, you don't want anything expect a person to share your pain, I'll be there with you forever.

At Aman's out house, Mitra hang up the phone, Aman asks what happen. She says Bhaiya left haveli. He asks for what? She says Maasa, because of maasa, he left. Aman says don't worry, everything will be alright. She cries and he embrace her & asks is Parvati with Rudra? She nods. He says then no need to worry, she'll manage everything. She dreadfully asks is Bhabisa not able to do anything means? He says think positive Mrs. Aman Deep Singh. She sadly smiles.

At haveli, Sumer's room, Shatabdi says your brother isn't good, how much anger, OMG what Pari will do with him, because of his rage she'll definitely going to face disaster tonight. Sumer smiles & says Bhabisa will manage everything, she know him well so don't worry about them, they will be here tomorrow. She asks how? He says because I had some hope on bhabisa. She smiles & says I didn't have any hope because your brother is so bad. He says not like that, he is good only. She says han, han support your brother. He says he is good only, his past changed him a lot. She listened him when he explained everything about Rudra's ill past & painful childhood.

At Samrat's room, Maithili makes Chotte sleep on her lap. Samrat says problem started with us & ended with Rudra. She says yeah, but Maajisa didn't told anything after that, hope she will accept our chotte. He says don't under estimate her, she did lot to make her wish come true, she tried to kill Dilsher. Maithili is afraid & holds his hand, says Maajisa will kill our... she cried. He embrace her & cares her, he assured that he is there for our daughter. She asks Sacch. He holds her hand & says promise. They smiled.

At mid of night, Rudra is sleeping in Paro's lap, he blabbers in sleep that don't leave me maa, I am good boy, don't leave. Paro consoles him that it's just a dream, calm down, she caresses is hair & holds his hand, and she says shh, Major Saab. He clams down & sleeps and she sleeps too.

In morning, Rudra is the one who wakes up first and saw Paro's face, he slowly gets up from her lap without disturbing her sleep & slowly makes her lay on bed. Rudra tenderly says you're the only person makes me relax by your caring nature (smirks), & I ready accept your caring, I'm curved for this love in my childhood but she left me, Paro... She snuggles in her sleep. He tuck her tendril which hiding her closed eyes. He says Paro, I want to be with you forever but please don't expect love from me, because if I loved you means, I'll be away from me, that is my fate Paro. He is about to kiss her forehead sharp ringing sound of his phone, distract him.

Danveer says beta, come to home soon, reality hits Rudra that he is in his old house because of Mala. He asks is she left. Danveer says no beta, but... he cuts him by telling that he'll not return to haveli till she left from there. Danveer says beta, woman welfare officers are came to check about your & Parvati's life. Rudra is shocked to his core. Danveer says come soon beta, they are waiting for you both & disconnected the call.

Mohini is talking to Damayanti & Phulwari & try to hint them about PaRud's drunken marriage drama. Dilsher & Mala are covered up well. Damayanti says we are here to check them, if we feel Paro is not safe here then we will take her with us. Mala says Parvati is savior is Rudra, so don't worry about her safety. Mohini thought this was the right time to throw heir of Ranawat haveli out of this house, maybe if he lost his job, he'll definitely die for it (glares at Mala) Mala do whatever to save your son & smirks.

At old house, Paro wakes up, Rudra says we need to go to haveli, Paro, get ready soon. She is stunned & thought that is Mala Maasa left haveli. He snapped her out from her thoughts by waving his hand & says Women welfare team came to haveli, so we need to move as soon as possible. She felt relived & nodded at him. PaRud reached haveli, all are waiting for them at hall. Mohini is planning something in her mind to expose Rudra's anger in front of them.

Rudra holds Paro's hand & come to hall. Paro folds her hand at them. Damayanti nodded at her & Pulwari smiled. Damayanti asked about their marriage. Mohini says I wished to get them married grandly but you know happened on Maha shivratri, Paro says Tejawat destroyed everything, she looks at Rudra and says when two people decide to live together then what can anybody do. Damayanti says you didn't answer question. Mohini says don't ask about past madam ji, see them and then decide it & we are preparing for post wedding rituals.

Pulwari is so excited & says Damayanti ji I want to see this rituals so can we stay here for few hours. Damayanti says I'm not yet convinced (glares at Parvati) so we'll stay here tonight. All are stunned but Mohini smirks. Hall is decorated with flowers & lights. Two big bowls of milk with rose petals are placed in middle of hall. PaRud are getting ready in their room. All family members are gathered in hall with Damayanti & Pulwari who asked about this rituals details, Mala is explaining it to her. Mitra & Aman are also joined with them.

Two couples are seated in front of bowl, Sunheri says Bhaiya, if Bhabi won, and you have to obey her & smiles. Mohini gave rings to Sunheri who says all the best my dear Bhaiyas & she is about put ring in milk bowl which is in between PaRud & saw Mitra and give to her. Mitra signs her to no but she give it to her. Mala nodded at Mitra. She come to them & put it on bowl. Sunheri put another ring in Sumer & Shatabdi bowl. Game started, all are clapped from them, all girls are supporting for DIL & gents for Son's Ranawat.

Paro smiles at him, he is eagerly searching ring in bowl. She tenderly says Major Saab, he saw her. Paro holds his hand under milk, she gave ring to her. Rudra shook his head. Meanwhile Shatabdi found ring & makes Sumer wear it. All are cheered PaRud up but they didn't end their searching under milk. She makes her face at him & he shook his head again. She softly says I need this ring so please take it out, Major Saab. Sunheri says no talking.

Finally Rudra gave up for Paro who is pleased him so many times. He took out the ring & lovingly holds Paro's hand & makes her wear it. She smiled at him. He is memorized by her child like smile. After few minutes, all are left to their respective room's. Rudra is in terrace, thinking about women's welfare team. Paro is busy in their room to arrange her gifts which was given to her by Varsha. She is hanging Rudra's pictures in hall one by one.

Rudra come to his room after an hour, he saw his picture adoring full wall & spotted Paro who is try to hanging a last one at the end corner of wall. She went tip toe in stool to hang it, he saw the stool which was shaking. She missed her balance & closed her eyes to feel hard floor, Rudra holds her on his arms. She slowly opened her eyes. He asks are you alright? She nodded at him. Pulwari watched them from window. He makes her stand on floor.

Paro is again try to claim the stool, he stopped her & took photo frame from his hand and hang it. Paro says one more picture is there, Major Saab. She took it from table, it was wrapped by gift cover & says my gift for my husband. He lost himself once again in her eyes. He took it from her, she says I want to hang this one above our bed, center of our room. He unwrapped it & felt stunned to see the picture. This was not a single picture, it contains more picture.
