Mahesh went out leaving Ishra alone, they looked at each other and ishita told him to settle down. Raman sat on the chair opposite to her and was waiting for her to say something but she was just looking around not knowing how to start a convo.
After long ishita asked -coffee??
Raman looked at her and nodded in yes.
Ishita ordered two coffee and again both start waiting for the another to start a convo. Soon the coffee was served, Raman start sipping it while ishita was just looking at him. She was trying to read his expression but unfortunately his face was so much disfigured that she couldn't look at him for long. Her eyes turned moist and at last she said -i never wanted this to happen to u. She said making Raman look at him.
Raman -kya?? He asked not getting what she told.
Ishita -maine aisa kabhi nahi chaha tha Raman. I am really sorry. She said while tears made way down her cheek.
Raman -maine aisa kab kaha ki yeh tumhari wajah se hua hai. Why u r crying ishita, mujhe wahin milq joh main deserve karta tha, wahin joh mere jaisa moron deserve karta tha. It wasn't ur fault but my bad deeds which bring me to this point.
Ishita -please don't say this, Aap,she paused and said -tumhari galti itni badi nahi thi that u have to suffer so much. Kya ho gaya tumhare saath. She said coming near to him and touching his face.
Raman closed his eyes feeling his touch and said -its OK ishita, I told u naa I got what I deserve.
Ishita -why u r alone with ur secretary, uncle -aunty kaha hai.
Raman -they r no more. He said making ishita shocked.
Ishita -kab hua yeh.
Raman -two years ago, they died in a plane crash.
Ishita -and ur wife, she asked looking down not able to meet his eyes.
Raman -I am single.
Ishita looked at him and asked -shaadi kyun nahi ki.
Raman -dont know, but achcha hua nahi ki.
Ishita -kyun??
Raman -aise hi, tumne bhi toh nahi ki shayad.
Ishita -haan, nahi ki.
Raman -kyun??
Ishita -coz I don't want to get married. I have given my life to my profession, my patient.
Raman -yaa phir iss liye kyunki jisse tumne pyaar kiya, usne tumhara dil tod diya buri tarah. Aur aaj tum naa usse pyaar karti ho naa nafrat. Yahin kaaran hai naa, it's good that u don't give him any importance in ur life but tumhe shaadi kar leni chahiye thi. Uski galti ki saza khud ko kyun de rahi ho. He said looking at ishita.
She looked away and said -tumhare paas koi nahi tha, u could have called me once. I was ur friend.
Raman -kis haq se bulata, jitni buri tarah tumhe apni zindagi se baahar phenka tha, I don't have any right to call u.
Ishita -but still we were friends, Ek call toh kar hi sakte the.
Raman -haan kar toh sakta tha, par himmat hi nahi hui.
Ishita -phir aaj mere clinic mein.
Raman -yahan bhi aane ki himmat nahi thi but phir socha, at least I can apologise for my bad behaviour. I know it will not change anything, coz a mere sorry can't do anything but phir bhi I want to say it. I want to say sorry for my bad behaviour ishita. I behaved like a scoundrel ,ho sake toh mujhe maaf kar dena. He said getting up from his chair and kneeling down in front of her.
She looked at him and her eyes filled up instantly seeing him apologising .she always wanted him to apologise for his harsh words and rude behaviour but never wanted to see him so broken. She badly want to hug him tight and console him but still was unsure of her position in his life. She wasn't sure that whether he was just apologising because of the mishap happened with him, or he actually realised her value. But on either ways, she can't see him so broken. So she decided to treat him and make him fit and fine like before.
Ishita -aap please aisa mat kijiye raman, I can't see u like this.u have gone through alot but now when u have came to me, I promise to make u alright. Yes, It's my promise to u raman that I will give u ,ur face back. Kyunki chahe Aap mujhe pyaar kare yaa naa kare, I will always love u. But yes this time I will not keep any expectations from u.coz I don't want another heartbreak. I know u will not break my heart this time like before but bina pyaar kiye, sirf mere pyaar ke liye mujhe accept Karna bhi Ek favour hi hoga, so I will not let u know that I still love u. She was lost in her thinking when Raman said -its OK, I know my mistake is just too big to be forgiven. He said breaking her trance.
Ishita make him stand and said -aisa kuch nahi hai raman. Hum dost the aur hamesha dost rahenge. Hamare beech differences ho sakte hai but hamara rishta kabhi nahi tutega.still i can feel ur pain Raman and I will try my level best to make u like before.
Raman -tumne mujhe maaf kar diya.
Ishita -not yet but kar dungi. Aakhir apne best friend se kab tak gussa reh sakti hoon. She said smiling making him smile too.
Ishita went closer to him and took him in a bear hug, like they use to hug each other in their childhood. Both closed their eyes and felt immense peace in each other's arms. Yes both were pretending to be each other's friend but both have something else for each other .both want to hug each other tight never to let go but reluctant to take the next step, Raman coz of his guilt while ishita coz of her past experience. They hugged each other tight and then parted.
Ishita make him sit and said -i will take u today for some test and then will treat u accordingly, OK.
Raman -ok, waise bhi ab tere haath aa gaya hoon, joh karna hai kar. He said smiling.
Soon both were busy in talking, ishra were looking each other, ishita was still feeling awkward with him but seeing him smiling and feeling carefree was something that she never fails to admire.
Ishita too smiled seeing him happy and said -u still look good when u smile.
Raman look at her and said -ab kahan, I lost my dimples.
Ishita -but I still like ur smile.
Raman look at her and said -aur achcha hi hua that I lost my dimples. He said making her look at him.
Raman -atleast I got a reason to smile. Sach aaj jab tujhe mila toh samajh aaya how alone I was.he said looking at her, she was already looking at him. Their eyes got locked and ishita said looking away -u r not suppose to talk much, it will hurt u.
Raman -bahut dino baad bol raha hoon, kyunki bahut dino baad koi sunne wala mila hai. Let me talk.
Ishita nodded and raman started talking to her again. Both were busy in talking when Mahesh came in knocking the door and said -doc, can I take him. It's his lunch time. We will be back whenever u will tell us to come.
Ishita nodded and tell him to go. He stand up reluctantly anf turned to go. He wasn't feel like going while she too didn't want him to go. Raman took few steps and then said -u go and have ur lunch, Mahesh. I am not feeling hungry. I want to stay here some more time.
Mahesh got surprised by his behaviour as he never liked hospitals.
Mahesh -r u sure sir.
Raman nodded and said looking at ishita -i want to stay here a little longer only if u have time.
Ishita -yes I have all my time for my patients. She said and Ishra sat together again to talk while Mahesh went all confused.
Soon it was lunch time, ishita took out her tiffin and raman got up seeing this.
Raman -u have ur lunch, main baahar hi hoon. He said going out when ishita hold his hand and said -baitho naa,why u r so formal with me. Yaad hai naa we use to share our meals.
Raman -haan, yaad hai. How can I forget, u use to make my favourite idlis for me.u remember pehli baar kini horrible idli banayi thi tune. Ek dum pathar jaisi.
Ishita -phir bhi tune khayi thi.
Raman -kyun nahi khata, u made that specially for me. Waise usse khane ke baad mujhe dentist ke paas jaana pada tha.
Ishita smiled and said -haan aur injection bhi lagaa tha. I remember how much I cursed u that day. He said looking at her who was smiling hearing him.
Raman -u never cursed me, Maine tere saath itna galat kiya.
Ishita -jhooth nahi bolungi, I do cursed u but never wanted to see u like this. Tera rkb wala attitude mujhe pasand nahi tha, I always wanted u to be raman, my raman. Bahut der mein samajh aaya ki tu toh meri kabhi tha hi nahi. She said and then realised what she said. She looked at him to apologise for her words but theur eyes got lock with each other. Both wanted to say so much but don't have courage to say anything. Both were silent just looking at each other.
