Chapter 34
Clapping sound of guest echoed in the haveli. Parvati is broken and silently standing on the corner of haveli, Mitra come to her side for her support. A fresh tears are flowed from her eyes. Rudra saw her tears and felt like to go to her, but suddenly lights of the haveli goes off. He rushed to Paro, he know that Paro is afraid of darkness. He holds Paro's hand. She felt his finger entangle with her's, she hold his hand tightly. Varsha says Surprise Bhayya ji, lights gets on, a big cake is in front of Aman. Varsha says happy birthday bhaiya, it's your special day, and how was our surprise. He says shocking only Varsha, Maasa, what's going on her. Diksha understand his question and says your chacha told me to tell this to you but it's my plan to give you this surprise, she cares his cheek and says I know beta, you're in love.., with Sunheri, so that we are planned to surprise you beta. Suraj asks beta, don't you like it, we are read your love poems, so that we are got to know that you are in love and Mohini ji told to Diksha that you loves Sunheri. Aman sadly smiles and thought that I wrote it for Mitra and I want to talk to her first, then only I can able to decide what to do for your favor. Varsha says Bhaiyya, don't get panic, look my Bhabisa like so bubbly and innocent, your selection is always good, so don't worry bro, cool, cut the cake first without thinking. Mohini says no beti, first Aman have to think, that means, want to make wish before cut the cake. Aman cuts the cake and all guests are singing Birthday song for him. He feeds Varsha and then Diksha and thought that I want to say two things to you, one is "thanks for coming into my life and making me as your son, next one is "sorry, I'm not happy with this marriage proposal, I want to tell this to you. Diksha feeds him and asks him to feed Sunheri, he gave a piece on her hand, Sunheri says Happy Birthday Aman. Mohini smiles and says where Rudra is. Suddenly Paro left his hand. Diksha says come here Beta. He slowly walks towards them and thought I need you Paro, don't go away, we will solve this problem.
Mohini, Diksha and Suraj are signaled one and other and said "Surprise and saw the direction, a lady brought a plate which was covered by velvet cloth. Mohini opened it and says rings. Rudra is stunned. Diksha says we are planned your engagement too. Varsha hugs her mom and says thank you. Suraj gave ring to Aman who is shocked each and every second by his family surprise plan. Diksha gives ring to Rudra who saw Parvati, she nods her head to say him to do it. He took it and saw Paro and makes Varsha wear it, his eyes didn't left Paro. Aman try to smile but his smile didn't reach his eyes and makes Sunheri wear it. All guest are settled here and there in haveli and talked about the event.
At Dilsher room, Aman opened the door and drags Mitra with him and closed the door behind. He asks did you know this before. She nods. He holds her arm and asks then why don't you tell this to me before. She asks why I should. He says because I love you, not Sunheri. Mitra is stunned to hear it, she felt happy but she couldn't able to express it. He saw her eyes and says I love you Mitra, I want to know your reply. She says leave me first. He loses hold on her. She says now only your engagement got over. He says I'll talk with them. She says it'll spoil Sunheri's life. He says ok, I'll marry her, but before that I want to know your reply. She says I don't know. He hugs her and says I saw happiness in your eyes when I said love you, I know my answer. She pushes him and says Sunheri is my sister, I don't want to create any problem in this marriage, so please stay away from me. He says I can't Mitra, she holds his hand and put it on her head and says Promise me Aman, that you'll marry Sunheri jeeja. He take his hand off from her head and says Mitra... she says you promised me, Aman. She left the room. He is stressed and saw closed door. A tear dropped from Dilsher's eyes and his hand is moving slightly to stop his daughter for doing this wrong like him.
At Rudra's room, Rudra is restless and detailed Paro's number, but she cuts the call. Parvati come to Mitra and says we have to leave. Mitra hides her tears and smiles at her. Parvati felt something wrong but she didn't asks her anything because she want to leave soon. Without informing anyone in the haveli, Parvati rushed out with Mitra, Danveer calls her but she didn't give heed to him and he thought she loves Rudra but what happen today may break her heart. Rudra comes out of his room and searched Parvati and bumped with Danveer who says beta, slow down, what happen. He says Paro... Danveer says she left few minutes ago. Rudra shocked and runs out. Varsha stops him at door and asks where you are going Rudra. He says BSD, I'll be back soon. He left confused Varsha behind.
At V.K's home, Geethanjali waits for Parvati at gate. Parvati crying and runs toward Geethanjali and hugs her. She asks what happen Parvati? Mitra comes to them and says engagement for Rudra with Varsha, I don't know what Parvati bhabisa said to Rudra bhaisa who is did everything without thinking about Bhabisa. Geethanjali cares her and asks Parvati, tell me what happen, and don't hide anything. She hugs her tightly and cries hard.
Flash Back
Yesterday evening after Varsha and her mom left haveli, Mohini and Parvati are in a room, Mohini closed the door and windows, she acting like crying and comes to Parvati and holds her hand in her's. Parvati says don't cry kakisa. She says I'll tell you everything first, then you can make decision about it, I did this for Sunheri, for my daughter's happy life, I know Rudra loves you but Varsha's parents are told me that they will accept this marriage proposal only for their daughter(Varsha), why because Varsha loves Rudra, that's why they accept Sunheri and Aman's marriage, I don't have other choice to do, I felt that Varsha is well educated person, not like you, Rudra is educated too, so I decided to accept this proposal. Parvati thinks and Mohini added that she needs her help to convince Rudra to marry Varsha. Parvati stunned. Mohini says think well and remember that Sunheri is saved your life once. Parvati recalls how Sunheri saved her life at market. Mohini smiles and wipes her tears and left confused and thinking Parvati behind.
Flash Back
Geethanjali care Parvati and says don't cry my dear, I'll talk to Rudra. Parvati breaks hug and says no Maasa, I promised kakisa that I'll not create any problem in this marriage and hugs her and cries. Geethanjali breaks hug and wipe her tears and says don't worry, everything will be alright soon and asks Mitra to take her in. Geethanjali thinks and calls V.K to talk about it, but his phone is not reachable and she recalls that he is in border for security purpose.
At hall, Geethanjali sits on sofa and think about the problem. Rudra parked his bike at the entrance, Geethanjali saw him rushed inside and says Rudra. He says Ma'am I want to see Paro. She says Rudra, relax, whatever happened is happened, we can't able to change it. He restlessly says Ma'am I want to talk to Paro. She says sit Rudra, we'll talk. He shouts Parooo. She says Rudra, I don't want you to see my daughter, and you're nothing to her, Rudra. He shouts Paroo again. She says stop it Rudra, you didn't have any rights to call my daughter. He turns to her and says She is My Wife and I'm her Husband, I have my rights to call my wife. His eyes emitting anger. Geethanjali shocked to her core. Rudra rushed to Paro's room and knocked it and calls her. Paro is sitting on her bed and cuddle her knees and cries. Mitra came out of wash room and rushed to open the door. Paro says Mitra, please don't open it. Mitra says Bhabisa, you promised me that you accepted to talk with Bhayya, and she opened the door. Rudra gets in and Mitra left. Paro stands up and turns to face wall. Rudra calls her. She says leave me Rudra. He holds her arm and tugs her to him, she crushed on his chest, he holds her face in his palm possessively, and she closed her eyes. He wipes her tears and says open your eyes Paro. Without opening her eyes, she says Rudra,. He kissed her on her lips like butterfly touches and saw her closed eyes and asks her to open her eyes. Again she said Rudra, he kissed her again and says Paro, I want to see your eyes which is always shows your love for me, please. She says Rud... he kissed her again. She realized her mistake this time when his is lips punishing her because he want her to call him as Major Saab. She says Major Saab., he hmmed. She says leave me. He says I want to know the reason. She opens her eyes, he saw her eyes, she says I did this for Sunheri, her marriage interlinked with Varsha's marriage and Varsha loves you Major Saab. He says I'll talk to Aman. She says no need Ru.., she stops and says Major Saab everything is over. He says nothing is over Paro, everything started now only, we can able to solve it. Paro removes his hand and says leave me Rudr... Major Saab. He kissed her again and says I love you Paro, I want to make you remember one thing that is you're my wife, and he touches her neck and took Mangalsutra and cares it and says this Sindoor and Mangalsutra are symbol of our love Paro, your mine Paro and I'm yours. She says your mine Major Saab, that's why I decided to give you to Varsha who is well educated, she is not like me, she is Doctor and I'm nothing... he says your my wife Paro, you're not nothing, your mine. She saw his eyes which clearly shows the determination and love for her and thought that how Mitra makes her to promise on her to convince her. She holds his hand and put it on her head and says promise on me, you're going to marry Varsha, without making any difficultly. He was taken aback, he recalls how Mala does promise on her head to make him drink milk. They stay like that for few minutes. He come back to reality and thought that I'll marry you Paro in front of everyone in the haveli and says I promise you Paro and promise me Paro, that you will be there with me still end of marriage, she is thinking and he says otherwise I'll stop this marriage, she promised him. Fresh tears are flowed from her eyes. He turns to left the room. She silently cries when she saw him leaving her.
At hall, Geethanjali stops Rudra and says she promised Mohini ji to make you to accept this marriage. He turns to her and says Ma'am, we are married, and how can I able to marry another girl? She says Rudra, I don't know what happen in between you two. He says you can able to see My Mangalsutra on her neck and sindoor on her forehead. Geethanjali says Rudra, I can understand, that you both are married but its secret marriage, no one know about it. He asks did you want me to leave my wife. She says no Rudra, but... Mitra says sorry for interrupting, Bhabisa love you a lot Bhayya, don't leave her. Geethanjali says I'll talk about it to V.K. Parvati says no need Maasa. All are turn to stair case, Paro wipes her tears and walked towards them. She came to them and says no need Maasa, I don't want to marry... he holds her arm and says we are married Paro. She says yes, I'm married and that is enough for me, I don't want you in my life and she holds Mangalsutra in her hand and says it's enough for me to live my life happily. His hold loosen on her arm and he says ma'am talk to Sir. She says no Maasa. He says do it for your son in law and he left. Paro broke down on floor and cries hard. Two of them are try to console her.
At haveli, Varsha's parents are searched for Rudra, Varsha says he is went to BSD, I think he went to border as like as Aman bhayya. Mohini says tomorrow is Rakshabandhan, so... Diksha says we two families will celebrate it together and here, am I right Mohini ji? Mohini smiles.
Later at night, In Samrat room. He comes to Maithili and says Maasa planning something, she says I don't know about it, but Devarjisa who didn't said anything to oppose this, what happen to him. Rudra says nothing Bhabisa. Both of them turn to the door where Rudra is standing and says because of Parvati and Sunheri, I didn't react in front of guest. Samrat asks what happen Rudra? He says your mother is the reason behind to separate me and Paro and Paro promised Mohini to make me accept this proposal. Samrat pats his shoulder and says we'll talk to Parvati. He says no need, but I need your help to make Paro realize her mistake. Maithili says I'll do anything for my sister. He smiles and says she'll attend all functions which are going to happen in upcoming days, stay with her, don't allow Mohini to come to her. She says but Maajisa'll not allow her to come here. He says I told Paro that if she didn't come, I'll stop this marriage, so definitely she'll come. Samrat holds Maithili's arm and says we'll do it for you and Parvati. Rudra sadly smiles and left.
At Shatabdi's house, Shatabdi knocked the door, Mala opened it and asks shall I bring dinner. She says Maasa, no need, I'm not feeling hungry. Mala sits with her on sofa and saw her doll face and asks what happen. She says engagement, but. Mala says I'm really happy about Sunheri's engagement, she is small kid when I left the haveli. Shatabdi sighs and says Rudra's engagement is also happen, but no one is happy in haveli. Mala asks what? Bedi, what are saying, say it properly. Shatabdi told everything to her about Rudra's engagement with Varsha and his love for Parvati. Mala is shocked and says Mohini jeeja... Shatabdi says I too doubted on her but I don't know what's happen to Rudra who didn't say anything, when they asked him to exchange rings. Mala cries and says she destroy my son's life also, it's not fair jeeja. Shatabdi calls her and shakes her. Mala come to reality and says bedi do something to stop this marriage, otherwise my son... she cries hard. Shatabdi hugged her and says I'll Maasa, don't cry.
Next day, at BSD, Aman comes to Rudra's cabin and says I want to talk to you sir. Rudra says tell me Aman. He asks where is Parvati? Rudra stands and asks what? What happen to Paro. He says nothing but you totally forgot her and her love for you and getting ready to marry Varsha. Rudra says Aman, you don't know what happen yesterday. He says whatever happened but you did injustice to Parvati. He says I'll solve this problem without making any difficulties in yours and Sunheri's marriage. Aman is shocked. Rudra added that he is happy about Sunheri's marriage with you. Rudra pats his shoulder and says thanks for coming into my sister's life Aman. Aman was speechless. Rudra got a call and he says Aman, we need to move now. Aman come out of his thoughts and says ok sir.
At evening, in haveli, Sunheri said sorry to Parvati who says don't worry Sunheri, I'm happy about your marriage, Aman bhayya is very good person, very soft and kind too. Sunheri asks about Rudra's marriage? She sadly smiles and says Sunheri, I'm happy about his marriage too, because Varsha Bhaisa is also good person and well educated and she is a doctor, she is the perfect match for Rudra, I'm not educated, so I felt happy Sunheri, don't feel guilty about me. Parvati hides her tears and left. Mitra come to Sunheri and says she is not happy, she cried full night, and do something to stop this marriage. Sunheri says I can't interfere in it directly because if Maasa know about it, she'll not leave me, so do whatever you can to stop Rudra bhayya's marriage, my full support is with you and holds her hand and says I promise you.
At Rudra's room, Rudra is getting ready for function, Sumer, Shatabdi and Mitra come to him to talk to him. Rudra asks what you are all doing here. Shatabdi asks how you did this, that to in front of Parvati, she loves you a lot. Rudra smile and says so you are all here to talk about the marriage. Mitra says no bhayya, we are here to stop this marriage, and we can do anything to stop this marriage. He cares her head and says no need, I'll handle this problem, if you are all want to help me, please stay with Paro, don't allow Mohini near to her. Sumer says but Parvati Bhabisa told me that she won't come hereafter. Rudra asks when? He says yesterday night. Rudra smiles and says hereafter she will be here in front of me. Shatabdi nods and says I'll take care of her. Rudra says Maithili Bhabi and Mitra are, will help you. Sumer says I'll handle Maasa. Rudra says thanks.
At hall, Rudra, Aman, Sumer and Samrat are standing, Sunheri starts aarti with Samrat, Varsha is about to do aarti to Aman but he signs her to stop. Everyone are shocked and stand up on their place, even Sunheri is also stopped doing aarti. Aman says my own sister is still alive. Diksha is confused and says Beta, what are you saying. He says yes, my sister Parvati is still alive and walked towards Parvati and holds her hand and says my sister Parvati. Mohini is stunned and taunts Parvati in her heart and says beta, she is not your sister. He says she is my sister only, I want her to do aarti. Varsha gave her plate to Parvati and asks her to do. Parvati hesitantly took it. Mitra come there with aarti plate and waits for Sunheri to do it. Sumer saw her and says Mitra, you want to do aarti. She nods. He says do it for me, come here. Mohini says Sumer. He says Maasa, Sunheri is always does aarti first for Samrat and I'm always waits for her to come me but this year, I won't, Mitra do it. Rudra smiles at her and signs her to do it. Mohini comes to him and says no beta, your every own sister is alive, she had rights to do it for you at first then only other so this is not fair, she can does aarti for Rudra who is not had her own sister. She holds Mitra's arm and make her stand in front of Rudra and turns to him and says she will does your aarti. Mitra's face brighten up. Rudra noticed it and says no problem Kakisa, she is also my sister. Parvati does aarti and tied rakhi on Aman's hand. Aman gave gift to her. Mitra doing aarti and thought thank you, my dear god for giving this opportunity, this was my first Rakshabandhan that to with my brother and she tied rakhi on his hand and says thank you bhayya. He says wait, don't you want your gift. She smiles. He gave a box to her which was neatly wrapped by gift wrapper, she thanked him again. Sunheri is finally come to Rudra, does rituals, he says sorry, I don't have any gifts because I gave my friend to you. She shyly smiles. Varsha does aarti and says bro, don't say like Rudra, I need gift. He says I forgot to bring. She makes her face. Parvati says Varsha bhaisa, take this gift. She says no Parvati, it's yours. Aman says your gift is in home, I couldn't bring it here. She smiles and hugs him. Everyone are smiles. Danveer thought that Varsha is also good person but hope nothing could go wrong in this wedding. Shatabdi comes to Aman with aarti plate and asks shall I? He nods and she tied rakhi. After few minutes, at terrace, Sumer calls Shatabdi and asks why are did it with Aman, she says I did it because, Aman is going to talk with Varsha to stop this marriage. He says it's completely wrong, she says he is already in this thought to talk to her, I just told him to do it now itself, he will talk to her tonight itself, so tomorrow morning will be a good day for everyone.
At hall, every one of the family gathered and panit checks horoscope of both couple and says we have two good days for marriage, one is on this month end and other is six month later. Mohini says this month end mukurti is ok for me. Diksha says month end means, we have only fifteen days. Mohini says we can arrange everything within four days to do marriage, am I right Rudra who smiles at her and he says it's ok for me. Suraj says it's ok for me too. Diksha says but,. Mohini says we'll do everything together, don't worry Diksha ji and asks Panit for Sangeet and Mehandi, he says you can arrange it two days before marriage. All of them had dinner at haveli and Aman's family left first. Then Sumer drops Shatabdi. Rudra starts his jeep and waits for Parvati and Mitra. They get in the jeep, silent drive ends at V.K home, he says thank you Parvati. She nods and left. He stops Mitra and says thank you, she asks for what bhayya? He says you are the first person to tie this rakhi on my hand. She smiles happily and says don't thank me bhayya and hugs him happily, he cares her head and says Mitra., She breaks hug and says Bhayya. He try to say something but Geethanjali come to him. He says ma'am take care Parvati, be with her and give Rathna to her so that she feels better. Geethanjali nods and says V.K is not back. He says I'll handle this problem ma'am, but inform Sir, everything about it. She says ok Rudra, but what is your plan. He says nothing ma'am, she is my wife, she'll feel jealous when she saw me with other girl, that's it. Mitra says Bhabi'll keep her promise, yesterday she talked with you because I make her promise on my head, that's why she talk with you. Rudra recalls how she put his hand on her head and promised and thought Aman told me that you're related to Me., Mitra, I can feel it but how? He says Mitra, she is mine, so I'll not leave her ever, do one thing bring her to haveli at sangeet function, don't stop classes, if Mohini try to stop don't accept it. Both ladies are smiles and he says take care of my Paro, don't leave her alone. They nodded and he left.
