Chapter 20 (dedicated to my lovely readers who demand an update almost every week! Love you all!)
Mahek followed him to their room. Before she could say anything more about the wedding rituals,Shaurya grabbed his towel and left towards the washroom. "Shaurya suno toh!" She called. "Mahek bhabi,here's your luggage." Awara came inside with their suitcases. "Thank you awaara bhaiya! You can Go have your breakfast and Manju ko bhi khilado." "How about you and Shaurya sir?" He asked. "I don't think Shaurya will eat and I'm not hungry,tum jaao if he wants it I'll make it myself." Awaara left. Mahek arranged her clothes in the closet. Shaurya was still in the shower. She needed to shower too. Grabbing her towel she left towards the visitors room to use the washroom there.
Half an hour later,Mahek came to their room to find him in bed. He was rubbing his temple. "Kya huwa Shaurya? Sar mein dard hai Kya?" Wrapping her wet hair with a towel she sat down beside his pillow and rubbed his forehead. "Yeah..i was up whole night that's why I think." "I'll go get you some medicine." Mahek stood up to go when Shaurya grabbed her hand. "Meds Nahi please! You know I hate meds! Make me your famous herbal tea." Mahek smiled. "Abhi laati Hun." She came downstairs and was going towards the kitchen when the doorbell rang. "I'll get it!" She told Awara and rushed towards the door. A postman was standing there with an envelope. Mahek received the letter and came inside. The envelope was from the city hospital and it was addressed to shaurya. "Kya ho sakta hai iss mein?" Thinking about what might be inside the envelope,she made the herbal tea and went upstairs. "Was somebody at the door?" Asked Shaurya when Mahek gave him the tea. "A postman left this for you." Mahek handed him the envelope. Shaurya saw it was from the city hospital. Mahek was giving him a questionable look. He didn't open the letter but put it away on the nightstand. He finished the tea and Mahek took the empty cup away. "Leave that and Come here!" Shaurya laid down and opened his arms wide for her. "I need to tell you something Mahek." Mahek looked worried. "Sab theek hai na Shaurya?" She asked while climbing up the bed and resting her head on his chest. "I wanted to tell you this long time ago but that day when I came home from the press conference,you were gone!" He kissed the crown of her head. "Tell me..Kya batana chahte thay?" Shaurya pressed her more on him. "It wasn't for the recipe book I left you Mahek." Mahek lifted her head up from his chest and looked at him. "I had some medical tests done few months before our wedding,And on our wedding day I received a call from my family doctor saying that the results are in and My kidneys were failing and if I didn't get a transplant I would die." Mahek looked at him shocked. Shaurya caressed her cheeks. "I asked him if there was any chances of me getting a donor,he said he was trying but he couldn't guarantee if he can find one." Shaurya continued. "You went through so much and never told me..." tears swam in Maheks eyes and she sat up. Shaurya sat up with her in his arms. "I knew I would die that's why I left you Mahek...I wanted you to move on get married and lead a happy life..." Mahek broke down on his chest. "I could never have moved on without you Shaurya!" She sobbed. "Fir Kya huwa...where did you go? Did you find a donor?" He dried her tears. "I went to London for treatment ..no I didn't find a donor but my treatments continued,when I came back..you moved in with me forcefully and I ignored you because I wasn't out of danger still ..my kidneys were functioning only 50%. Anything could have happened. I behaved rudely with you so that you could leave. One day my doctor called me and said I have recovered and my kidneys were functioning 100%! It was then I decided to have a press conference...I called your family and asked for forgiveness and told them each and everything,I was so excited that day Mahek! I went and bought flowers for you and was hurrying home to tell you everything and confess my love for you but when I reached home you were gone! I was shattered! I searched for you everywhere but failed." Tears rolled down Shaurya's eyes. "Oh babe.." Mahek hugged him and cried along with him. "I'm so sorry Shaurya... mujhey maaf kardo ..I didn't know what pain you were going through .." He kissed her maang. "Tu kiyu sorry hai? I should be sorry for putting you through so much pain and suffering." Mahek kissed his cheek. "I forgave you long time ago Shaurya!" Both hugged each other tight. "I love you!" Both said simultaneously. "We will live together as long as we are alive." Shaurya whispered against her cheeks. "Only death will do us apart." Mahek said on his lips and pecked it. They lay there in each other's arms for sometime,cuddling and snuggling Mahek spoke. "Shaurya,ma said from tomorrow for the next two nights I'll be sleeping in the guest room till our wedding...wedding tak Hum mil nai sakte." Mahek told him. "And you think I'll let you sleep alone in that room? I'll see who has guts to stop me from meeting you!" He said while pulling her more on him. "It's ma's order Shaurya!" "I can fool ma easily you know!" Maheks raised her brows. Shaurya laughed.
Suddenly a gust of wind rushed in through the window and the envelope on the nightstand moved with the wind and fell down behind the nightstand. "Let's not waste time in talking,I have other things in mind." He rolled on top of her. "What you doing Shaurya koi aa jaayga!" Mahek squirmed underneath him. "Door is locked babe,I don't think anyone will come through the window." Before Mahek could utter another word,his hot scorching mouth was on hers. Soon their clothes lay crumbled on the floor. His eyes glinted like black fire as he looked down at her. "Kiss me Mahek." He demanded. She curled her fingers into his shoulder and looked at him shyly. "Kiss me Mrs khanna. He said again. When She pecked his lips,His mouth swooped down and caught hers at the same time loosening her hair from the towel so it tumbled against her sensitized skin. His pinned her hands above her head and rained her body with his kisses. Mahek moaned his name as he entered her. Holding her gaze, he released her hands and lifted her hips to push him hard inside her. He choked out a groan as he buried himself deep, his body pressed against hers, his length filling her, stretching her, more delicious than the night before. He moved in long, sure strokes, hard and deep. Maheks lips caressed the column of his throat, her tongue making trails over his skin, her mouth moving down to his chest, across his pec to his nipple, which she sucked gently. Shaurya thrust deeper. Her soft gasps filled the room and he smothered her sounds with kiss after kiss. Rocked by powerful thrusts and gentle words, she fell into his rhythm. she was freely exploring him and didn't hesitate to caress his skin, sliding her hands up and down, feeling his flesh slick and moist under her palms. His shoulders were taut, his upper arms well-muscled. She was moved by the pure beauty in their lovemaking for the second time. Shaurya was an attentive lover, making sure she was fully satisfied and when she climbed as high as she could go, he was there taking the climb with her. He brought her with him in his release and they splintered apart at the same time. Exhausted and tired from their lovemaking,both dozed off.
Shaurya woke up to find the bed cold and empty. He looked at the clock,it was ticking at 7. " Mahek kaha ho tum?" He howled. He couldn't find her in the room. He heard laughter downstairs. Wrapping the sheet around him he came out of his room. Sharma family had gathered to celebrate Maheks return and a pandit was also present there. His eyes searched for Mahek but she wasn't in sight. "Kaha gayab ho jaati hai yeh ladki!" He came back inside the room and freshened up.
Mahek was in the kitchen making dinner for everyone. "Di,where's jeej? Kab se wait kar rahi Hun main unka." Complained nehal. "He was sleeping when I came downstairs ...shayad abhi bhi soh raha hai." Mahek told her. Just then they heard Shaurya's voice in the living room. "Jiju is here!" Nehal left to bug him. Mahek smiled and continued cooking. On the other side,Shaurya greeted everyone and took blessings from his elders. "Ma why is the pandit here?" Karuna pulled his cheeks. "Teri Shadi ka mahurat nikaalne!" "Ma please skip the rituals just go to the wedding!" Everyone's eyes widened. Shaurya smiled sheepishly. "Thand rakh Jiju ..shaadi koi laddo thori na hai jisey jab chaho khalo!" Teased nehal. "Tujhey Bahut pata hai?" Shaurya tapped on her head. Everyone laughed. "Mahek beta idhar aana!" Called Karuna ma. Mahek dried her hands and joined everyone in the living room. Shaurya went and stood beside her. Mahek blushed when everyone awed at them. "Tomorrow morning is haldi and mehandi at night,and next day is wedding." Announced Karuna. "Par mom,we have already done the rituals!" Karuna ma scolded him. "Rituals fir se hogi shaury..and you have to do it." "Ok then I'll do it! But I won't stay away from Mahek! We'll do the rituals together,sitting opposite each other." Shaurya laid his condition. Mahek hit him with her elbow. "Tum mein sharam naam ki cheez hai bhi ki Nahi?" He was about to say something when Karuna ma interrupted them. "As you wish Shaurya!" "Really ma?" Karuna nodded her head. Shaurya hugged her tight. "Love you mom!" "Love you too badmash!" She pulled his cheeks. "Ouch! That hurt!" Karuna let him go. Everyone laughed.
After dinner,sharma's left. Everyone retired for the night except Mahek and Manju. "Di,you go sleep I'll clean the kitchen,you have to get up early in the morning na?" Said Manju. "Theek hai I'll go,thakgayee Hun main." Bidding goodnight Mahek left. Inside their room,Shaurya was having excruciating abdominal pain. "As far as I know My kidneys are functioning well now,but why this pain?" He looked for the letter from the hospital but couldn't find it. He knew something was not right. "No Bhagwan! This is not the time to take me away from Mahek! She will die without me!" He cried. Just then Mahek stepped in the room. He quickly crawled in bed and covered himself with a comforter. "She shouldn't come to know about this pain I'm having ..otherwise she'll be worried and our wedding could be delayed." Thought Shaurya. Few minutes later Mahek crawled in beside him. He pretended to be fast asleep. Mahek kissed him good night and slept on his chest.
Next morning Mahek woke up with a jerk when there was a knock on the door. Shaurya wasn't in bed. Putting on her robe she hurried towards the door. "Mahek Di!" It was Manju. "Hold on I'm coming!" Mahek opened the door. "Kya Di you are still sleeping? Today is your haldi bhoolgayee?" Mahek held her head. "Oh Teri! Sab aagay Kya? Shaurya must be waiting for me! Wayse Aaj tumaari bhi toh haldi hai!" Manju blushed. Mahek laughed. "Accha I'll shower and come!" Mahek was rushing towards the washroom when Manju stopped her. "Di! Ruko toh! Jiju is not downstairs! Karuna ma'am asked me to call him too." Mahek looked worried. "He must be in the house somewhere,tum Chalo I'll shower and come." Nodding her head,Manju left.
Wearing a yellow saree,Mahek came downstairs. Khanna mansion was decorated like a bride. "Di!" Nehal and Sonal hurried towards Mahek and brought her down. "Where is Jiju?" Asked nehal. "Yahi Kahi hongey." Strange thoughts were invading her mind. Her eyes roamed around the house but he was nowhere to be found. Mahek had started to panic. "Mahek beta ajaao! Shaurya ko bhi bula laao." Karuna ma said. "I can't find him ma.." Tears filled her eyes. "What do you mean? Yahi hoga phone him." Everyone started calling him on his cellphone. Vicky and Nehal searched the house but no luck. "His phone is switched off!" Sharma's said in unison. Mahek felt dizzy,Manju helped her sit down. "Beta tum rasam shuru karo Shaurya aata hii hoga...shayad bahar gaya hai kisi important Kaam se." Karuna tried to give her some hope. "Without him I will not do any ritual." Mahek told everyone with tears streaming down her cheeks.
Meanwhile,Shaurya was driving home from the city hospital. He sat behind the wheel like a lifeless body. "My family has so much hope for this wedding ..I can't tell them anything yet...Mahek ko bhi Nahi...I will tell them right after the wedding and go for treatment." Thought Shaurya as he parked his car in front of khanna mansion. Mahek was crying badly when he stepped inside the house. "Bhai!" Everyone's gaze followed Vicky's which stopped at the door. "Shaurya!!" Mahek ran to him and Shaurya took her in his arms. "Kaha thay tum? Ek phone nai kar sakte thay?" She hit him on his chest gently. "You scared me Shaurya...main Bahut dar gayee thi..." His hold tightened around her. " I'm sorry I left without telling anyone...something important came up at the restaurant so I had to leave...I tried to call but my phone was dead ..." He tried to pacify her. "Next time don't do this Shaurya...main mar jaau..." He didn't let her finish and placed his finger on her lips. "Marne ki baath dubara mat karna Mahek." He kissed her forehead and dried her tears. "Can we do our haldi now?" Mahek nodded with a smile. "Shaurya you ok na beta?" Karuna asked when he went to his room to change. "I'm ok ma don't worry." Vicky asked the same question. "No I'm not ok!" Vicky looked worried at once. "Why what's wrong?" Shaurya pulled his cheeks. "Abh tak Teri shaadi ki baath nai ki na iss liye." Vicky let out the breath he was holding. Karuna ma laughed. "Bhai aap bhi na! Nehal is waiting to finish her courses,once that's done then we can decide for the wedding." "Continue this conversation later,abhi Chalo all are waiting." Karuna ma and vicky brought Shaurya down for the haldi. Mahek was waiting for him. As soon as she saw him her face lit up! He went and sat opposite her. Not sitting very far from them,Awaara and Manju were also having their haldi. Ceremony started. MehRya were covered with haldi in no time. "Khush ho tum?" Shaurya asked Mahek who was eyeing him shyly. "Bahut! And you!" "Tum se bhi zyada!" He said. Maheks blush deepened. Sharma's and khannas were busy applying haldi on each other. Vicky and Nehal were dancing,mohit and Sonal also joined them. "Ok everybody! Food is ready please help yourselves!" Chef Karan announced. "Tum dono khaalo then go have shower." Karuna ma told MehRya. MehRya walked to the dinning table. "Without applying haldi on you I'll not shower." Shaurya whispered to her. "Mr khanna,if you really wanna apply haldi on me than do it now because you won't find me later ." Shaurya pulled a chair for her. "You know what I'll do if you run or hide from me so don't even think about it." Mahek laughed softly and sat down,Shaurya sat beside her. "Meet me in the bedroom after eating." He muttered. "Sorry Mr khanna! I'm moving in the visitors room till the wedding,have you forgotten what ma said?" Shaurya grimaced. "Haldi toh main room mein hii lagaunga Mrs khanna!" He held her hand under the table and squeezed it. "Ouch!" Everyone looked at Mahek. "Laddo Kya huwa bacchey?" Asked Pd. "ku Kuch nai PD! Bass muh se nikal Gaya." Mahek bit her lip. Shaurya giggled softly. "Haath choro Shaurya ..everyone's watching us." He didn't listen neither did he let her hand go. "Here,taste this!" He took a spring roll near her mouth. She took a bite and bit his finger. Shaurya winced in pain and shook his hand. "I'll make you pay for this in the bedroom!" He warned her. Mahek clamped her lips to suppress her laughter.
Later,Shaurya got busy with his phone call. Mahek had danced a lot and was feeling really weary. "Mahek go shower and take a nap you'll feel better,Raat ko mehndi hai yaad hai na?" Karuna ma reminded her. "Ji ma,I'm going now." Mahek looked at Shaurya who was still on the phone. Karan was serving cocktails,Mahek was so thirsty that she grabbed a glass and gulped everything down! Chef Karan's mouth dropped open. "What is this thing? It's delicious!" Before chef Karan could stop her she gulped another glass down! "Karan bhaiya,give me one more!" Chef Karan swallowed. "Mahek bhabi there was alcohol in it!" Maheks eyes widened in shock. "Oh Teri! Mujhey toh pata bhi nai chala!" She laughed. Alcohol had started to kick in. Her tired eyelids were dropping close. She somehow managed to reach her room,shutting the door behind her she removed her saree,petticoat,blouse and tossed it away. "I guess I will have to shower later." She mumbled,half asleep. Unable to keep her eyes open she fell on the bed and slept. Few minutes later,she felt a hand on her,rough and rugged roaming her body. She pulled away with eyes half open and looked upward, she could see his face. "Shaurya...tum aagay? Woh main ne galti wala mistake se sharab piliya...Aur main talli hogayee...I'm sorry I didn't mean to..." "I know,Karan told me." Then he showed her the haldi paste in his hand. Mahek laughed when he rubbed the paste on her! "That tickles!" She giggled. "I want to do it too but I don't have the paste na." She pouted. "You don't need to babe! Ab joh main karunga uss se toh haldi khud lag jaayga." "I don't get it." She said. "You'll get it now!" He rolled on top of her. "Shaurya..." is all she could say. His mouth was seeking hers and her lips were soft against his, and his hands were cupping her breasts covered with thin lacy bra which he peeled it off. And then his hands were running across the satin smoothness of her skin and between her legs which were warm and wet,parted for him,opening to his hand like a flower. "Shaurya please ..." Mahek purred against him ecstatically, she realized he wore nothing on him,her hand moving down to the hardness of him and squeezing it for the first time in her drunken state. He groaned and bit her neck and throat gently,leaving her with bruises. His huge hand peeled her panties off,parting her thighs, he guided him between her legs, with one thrust, one magical push . . .they were in paradise. "Happy haldi babe!" He whispered on her lips. "Happy haldi babe!" She whispered back. And he was kissing her deeply. She wrapped her arms tightly around him, clamped her legs about his legs to hold him tight, so he could not pull out, not even if he wanted to. His haldi was on her and hers on him. He devoured her lips again and again,Never had he kissed lips so soft. It was his Mahek that had softer lips. He had not known that there were lips so soft in the whole world until he had kissed her. After their heated lovemaking they slept.
