CHAPTER 5
The next morning dev got up at 8 o'clock.He was just staring at his mobile from the moment he woke up to see if there were any missed calls of Sonakshi.After losing the hope that she will call, he got ready to go to office but he decided to pick sonakshi and drop her to her hospital and then go to the office.
Here on the other hand, sonakshi was blank from the last night, she had not slept the whole night and now dark circles were visible under her eyes, she was still not able to believe that dev had proposed her. She was startled by a knock on her door, it was asha with a cup of green tea. Asha placed the cup on the bedside when sona opened the door. She asked sona,
"shona kya hua kuch baat hai toh bata na, mai tujhe kal raat se dekh rahi hoon bohot pareshaan lag rahi hai?
"Maa woh kuch nahi... kal bas ek pateint ke baare mein soch rahi thi, pata nahi bohot confused, shocked hai woh unhe kuch samajh mein hi nahi aa raha hai
sona said referring to herself.
"aise wakt mein beta humein apne dil ki sochni chahiye kyunki uss wakt humare dimaag kaam karna band kar deta hai, aise mein dil hi hota hai jo mein sahi raasta dikha sakta hai
"hmm
"Chal ab jaldi se fresh hokar neeche breakfast karne aaja
"thike maa
After that she freshened up and had her breakfast and then bid everyone bye and left to find a taxi to go to the hospital as she would not be able to drive her scooty as its gone for servicing. When she was moving towards the main road thinking that she will find a taxi there, she was blocked by an white car which came in front of her suddenly. The person who stepped out of the car was none other than Dev Dixit. Sonakshi was shocked, angry and nervous all at the same time, seeing Dev there.
"What are you doing here Dev?
"I came to see you
"What?!!!
"I...I mean I came to pick you up
"No thanks, I can go on my own

but Dev forcefully grabbed her hand and tried to make her sit in the car but instead she slapped him hard on his left cheek and before she could speak further Dev made a puppy face to melt Sonakshi and it worked too.
"plz let me drop you
he said in a low voice
"Thik hai
She was left with no other choice and so decided to take the offer.
Sona sat inside the car and was trying to fastened the seat belt but couldn't.So Dev helped her fasten it but as Dev tried fastening it his hands brushed against Sona's and they both shivered.
When they were ready Dev drove to Sona's hospital and dropped her there.
They both were busy in the morning but in the afternoon they were a bit free and that's why unwanted thoughts came to their minds.
Dev's thoughts:
" Have i forced Sona?...wait a second Sona' why am i calling her Sona' even after she rejected my proposal. I think i am taking her for granted not only now but i took her for granted in the past too maybe that is why she slapped me. But somehow it didn't hurt me, I think I deserve that.
Sonakshi's thoughts:
" Mujhe usse thappad nahi marna chahiye tha, mein kuch jyaada hi sakt ho gayi, sirf mujhe drop hi toh karna chah raha tha. Par agar mai usse drop karne keliye haan bol deti toh woh uske proposal keliye mera yess hota...
All frustrated she thought
"Errr...bas bohot hogaya mai uske bare mein kyun soch rahi hu, mujhe uske bare mein nahi sochna chahiye. Just concentrate on your work Sona.
She commanded herself.
Then at night, Sonakshi was going to be late for reaching home so she called Asha that she will be late today.And when she was done with all her work she was getting out of her building when again a white car blocked her way and the best part was she recognised it this time.
" Ab kyun peecha kar rahe ho Mera?
" Dekho mujhe galat mat samajhna par mein tumhe sorry bolne aaya hoon woh actually mujhe tumhe subah force nahi karna chahiye, so I am genuinely sorry.
Said Dev holding his ears. Sona was taken aback by his apology as the great Dev Dixit was apologizing to her for the first time in her life.
" It..its ok
" But would you mind my one request?
"Kya?
" Dekho kafi raat hogayi hai sooo Mai tumhe ghar chod Sakta hoon
" Nahi thik hai, mai taxi pakad loongi
" Dekho itni raat ko tumhe taxi kaha milegi
" Mai manage kar lungi, mai cab bula loongi
" Thik hai Mai tumhe force nahi karunga par jab tak tum ghar nahi pahunch jati Mai tumhara peecha karunga
" Hadd hai !
When she was standing at the bus stop and booking a cab some goons surrounded her she was hell scared but Dev was well aware of the situation.
Soon the boys started commenting on her and Dev was getting all the more angry but was waiting for right time as he wanted to avoid any sort fight.
But when Sonakshi was thrown on a stone by one of the goons and she felt unconscious, Dev quickly rushed towards her and tried to get her conscious back but the goons were not gone yet and they said
" Abe tu kon hai re chal Nikal yahaan se aur Hume apna kaam karne de, chal phutt
" Tum jante nahi ho Mai kon hoon, Mai Dev Dixit hoon, ab tum log nikalte ho ke Mai police mangwau
The goons were well aware of who Dev was so they decided to leave.
" Arey iski toh dur tak pahunch hai, chalo sab Nikal lo, hume kisi lafde mein nahin padna hai
Then Dev carefully took Sonakshi to his home and rested her on his bed and applied ointment on her wounds and let her sleep in peace.
