So many years had passed, and like everybody else even SURAJ MANN SINGH had moved on with his life. Even the pain of losing Jessica and Arnav's betrayal had dimmed somewhere. He may never totally forgive Arnav for coming in between him and Jessica but he no longer dreamt of giving him a torturous death anymore..After years of growing up, he had somewhere grown out of that sorrow and had accepted that he had equally played a major part in Jessica's ruination. And for years by putting it's entire blame on Arnav had made it easier to deal with his pain and guilt.

Now standing, face to face, they both mapped each other with a cold stare and gave slightest of a nod. Suraj Mann Singh felt his old wound gaping once again but he controlled himself and this time when he looked towards his foe, he observed with narrowed gaze as soon he noticed, softening in Arnav's expressions and brightness in his eyes. It was as if he had seen somebody who laid claim to his heart.

"His cold calloused heart." Suraj scoffed and turned to look in that direction and felt his own breath being knocked out of his chest as he saw two women coming down the stairs.

But his eyes never moved from the lady he had met earlier, lady in red. Khushi, that's the name she had told him. KHUSHI, who was a unique combination of beauty, grace and innocence, so ethereal, feminine and mysterious, the more he observed her, more he wanted to know about her. He looked towards Arnav's face once again and still found those bemused expressions there.

And without taking his eyes off the lady, he said to the man standing next to him in a dry tone. " I hope you are not, getting all that excited, looking at my girl."

Arnav, who had completely forgotten about his whereabouts, mesmerized watching Khushi as she came into his vision after such a long wait was rudely pulled out his trance by Suraj Mann's challenging tone and without taking his eyes off his wife, he snorted. " Your girl?" He asked, while still lost in that beautiful visage of his wife as she looked breathtakingly beautiful in Red. Khushi. His wife. He wanted to run up the stairs and grab her to pull in his arms and hide her from everybody's eyes. Suddenly he remembered Suraj's comment once again and said drily this time. "Well, I hope you are talking about the girl in black...SURAJ MANN SINGH.,... her name is Lavanya...and she is very much single... because the other lady..."

"The other lady is not for you Arnav." Suraj Mann interrupted Arnav rudely and informed in succinct tone. " Because I have all the intentions to know more about this beautiful lady in red. Khushi, so keep your eyes off her." And then throwing a mocking glance in Arnav's direction, he was thrilled to see fury on his face, and added carelessly. " That other one is gawking at you, so why don't you go and amuse yourself with her, I am least interested in her, but leave the lovely lady for me."

Cold fury raced through, Arnav's body, and he almost turned menacingly towards Suraj Mann to knock his handsome face to pulp and barely managed to control his temper and tried not to get provoked in doing something that might spoil Rachel and Kevin's lovely party and create the scene, so this time when he said that, his words came out dripping in ice. "SURAJ MANN SINGH. just stop dreaming about, Khushi... she can't be yours...because she is mine..."

Suraj Mann got the message but refused to believe the man. Maybe Arnav also fancied this lovely lady, who wouldn't, but this made this game all the more interesting now as he sent a challenging looking in Arnav's direction and said. "Wanna bet on this , Arnav...That girl is..."

"One girl, who would never be yours." Arnav, ignored his challenge.

But suddenly Suraj Mann Singh was in his old form again. " Ah! Do I hear unsurety in mighty ASR's voice. So, do you wanna bet or you are too afraid of losing?"
