Chargesheet filed against Rakesh Roshan for plagiarism in Krrish 3

While the Roshan family is busy celebrating Rakesh Roshan's 50 years in Bollywood, the ace filmmaker has just landed in some big trouble. Uttarakhand police have filed a chargesheet against Roshan Sr, accusing him of plagiarising few portions of a story written by city-based author Roopnanarayn Sonkar's novel Sooardan in Krrish 3.

Sunil Kumar, who is representing the author, told the media that the chargesheet was filed in the court of chief judicial magistrate Vivek Diwedi by sub-inspector Subodh Kumar, posted at Dalanwala police station.

The chargesheet claimed that enough evidence has been found against Roshan, who was the producer and the director of the movie, for the violation of Section 63 of the Copyright Act and the complainant urged the court to send summons to him and take appropriate action against him if he did not respond.

Krrish 3, starring Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra, Kangana Ranaut and Vivek Oberoi in the lead, is the third film in the superhit sci-fi Krrish series following Koi... Mil Gaya (2003) and Krrish (2006). The story follows the life of Rohit Mehra, a scientist, and Krishna Mehra aka Krrish, his superhero son, who face an elaborate conspiracy orchestrated by the evil genius Kaal (Vivek) and his female henchman Kaya (Kangana).
