Finally it was the day of hearing, ishita got up early in morning or can say, she didn't slept properly at night as all she could think was the case. She completed her daily chores and went down wearing her full sleeve white shirt with black trousers. Her hair was tied in a low pony, she wore her Rolex watch and small studs in her ears. After getting ready, she took her black lawyer coat and went down. She had a little breakfast as she couldn't concentrate on anything.
After having her food, she went to the little temple in her house and prayed to seek justice for the innocent. After that, she took her belongings and went to the court. Her case was after two hours but still she sat there in her chamber, studying her case again as she don't want to take another date on any situation. She want to see bhallas free today at any cost. So after checking all the evidences, she got satisfied but then something click in her mind. She searched someone's number from google and called her to come to see the case proceedings today. She happily accepted it, as she was a well known social worker. Work for many NGOs .she thought it's an honour to be called by the public prosecutor herself but little she knows why ishita is calling her.
Ishita hung the call and said to herself smirking-aaj maza aane wala hai.
After two hours, bhallas were brought to the court, Mr and Mrs bhalla were so hopeless that they were not even looking up as raman didn't told them anything. Coz he don't want to give them false hopes,as he was suspecting that what if she also cheat them like their defence lawyer. But still he was little hopeful that may be she is not like that, may be she will save them.
Soon her juniors came with her belongings while raman's eyes were searching for ishita. That's when his defence lawyer came and said-aap bilkul fikar mat kijiye, I will try to save u all till the end.
Raman look at him and said-really, u will fight for us till the end.
Lawyer-yes, don't u trust me.
Raman -now I don't trust anyone. Ab vishwas karne ki aadat nahi rahi. He said still looking at the entrance when ishita entered the court. She looked at Raman and smiled closing her eyes assuring him that she will save him.
Raman too smiled seeing her smile. Soon ashgun too came, along with the social worker sujatha mehra. Bhallas look at sujatha and their heart filled with hatred as she was the leader of the Mahila mandal association, who insulted them, blacken their faces. Toshiji cried remembering that day while Mr bhalla just consoled her.
Ishita looked at the bhalla's and again got determined to save them today only. Just then judge entered the court, everyone got up.
Soon everyone settled on their seat.
Judge-so miss iyer, r u ready.
Ishita nodded in yes.
Judge-so shall I give the judgement or u want to show something new to the court, for which u have taken an extra date.
Ishita-yes ur honour, I want to show some new evidences in the court along with few new witnesses. And I want to ask some questions from Mrs Shagun bhalla, so I want ur permission to call her.
Judge -do u think this is important for the case.
Ishita-very important ur honour. This will turn the case upside down.
Judge-ok, then permission granted. He said and Shagun was called for. She gulped her saliva looking at ashok, while he signalled her to be calm. On the other hand Mr and Mrs bhalla were confused thinking what she is doing. Soon shagun was in the witness box.
The person bring shrimad bhagwad Geeta to take the oath, she did so.
Ishita went to her and said-so Mrs bhalla, bhallas harassed u for dowry.
Shagun nodded innocently.
Ishita-aur jab aapne unhe kuch nahi diya, unn logon ne aapko jalane ki koshish ki.
Shagun looked at ashok, he signalled her to start crying.
Shagun nodded and said looking at the judge-i don't understand, mujhse kyun itne sawaal puche jaa rahe hai ur honour. Main toh victim hoon, culprits toh yeh log hai. They harassed me for dowry, mujhe kitni takleef di aur jab main unki maange puri naa kar saki, toh inn logon ne, inn darindo ne mujhe jala daala, they tried to kill me. She said faking tears.while ishita was just looking at her with calmness.
When she ended, ishita said-if ur act of being a victim is over then please stop crying and start giving answer of my questions. Kyunki yahan victim kaun hai aur culprit kaun, yeh main yaa tum nahi, judge sahab tay karenge. So u better start answering my questions.she was saying when the defence lawyer said-but ur honour, what is the need of interrogating the victim and harassing her when the court case is over. And bhallas have already convicted.
Ishita-who convicted the bhallas and who told u that the court case is over, I haven't rested my case yet, aur jab tak main sach saamne nahi le aati, tab tak main case rest nahi karne wali.She said glaring at Shagun and the defence lawyer.
Ishita-aur waise bhi, why u r so worried when I am asking something to her, Aap bhi toh Mrs bhalla ki jhootha saabit karna chahte hai, chahte hai naa. She said looking at the defence lawyer making him shut.
Ishita-waise bhi yahan daanv par teen zindagiyan lagi hai, so I don't think Mrs bhalla ki kuch problem hogi mujhe jawaab dene mein, naa Mrs bhalla. OK then tell me, these people burnt u coz u couldn't give them money. Is that true.
Shagun nodded in yes.
Ishita-ok tell me, what happened that day in detail. Achche se bataiyega.
Shagun-that day I was talking to my brother ashok on phone, when raman pulled me from back and closed my mouth with a cloth, mera phone dur phenka gaya, I tried to struggle but mummy ji papa ji tied my feet, they took me to the kitchen, mujhpar kerosene daala and they burnt me, I was crying for help but they were laughing. I thought I am going to die but ashok bhaiya came with police and saved me, cops arrested them and I was taken to hospital. She said faking tears.
Ishita-ok stop crying, tell me where was ashok when u were talking to him.
Shagun -dont know, may be in his office or house.
Ishita -ur honour, can I call Mr ashok too.
Judge gave her the permission, ashok was too called witness box.
Ishita-where were u, when she was talking to u.
Ashok-i was in my house.
Ishita -kyun aap office nahi jaate.
Ashok-i am looking for a job.
Ishita-ok, u r jobless. Let it be, will talk about it later. So u were in ur house, which is about forty minutes away from bhalla mansion and u went to police station first, matlab u reached bhalla house in atleast an hour. Right.
Ashgun nodded in yes.
Ishita-matlab, aapko ek ghanta lagaa pahunchane mein, and bhallas must hardly took ten nahi twenty let believe they took thirty minutes to make her burn. Jyada se jyada 30 minutes, Iska matlab Shagun 30 minutes tak jalti rahin. And still she has only 20 percent burn. Jab ki itne time mein toh kam se kam 90 percent burn Hona chahiye, log toh mar bhi jaate hai Mrs bhalla, can u explain aapki chot Itni kam kyun hai.
Ashgun was shocked hearing this, they don't know what to answer.
Judge -what u want to prove, miss iyer.
Ishita-yahin ki Shagun nahi jali utna jitna inhe jalna chahiye tha, kyunki inhone pehle se hi ointment lagaa rakha tha. Jiski wajah se inko mamuli chot aayi. Naa Mrs bhalla.
Shagun-no it's wrong, Maine aisa kuch nahi kiya, judge sahab, is it my fault ki main nahi mari. She said crying.
Judge-miss iyer, don't make assumptions, shoe me some real evidence.
Ishita-ok ur honour. So Mrs bhalla, aapki aur Mr bhalla ki shaadi kaise hui thi. Was it an arrange one.
Shagun-no actually Raman had to marry me, coz we spend a night together and I got pregnant.
Ishita-oh u r pregnant.
Shagun-no I am not, I had an miscarriage.
Ishita-oh that's really bad, but I have something which can prove that u don't have any miscarriage coz u were never pregnant, kyunki aapke aur Mr bhalla ke beech kuch hua hi nahi tha. Saying so she played a CD, which was of the corridor of the hotel.
Everyone start watching it, it shows Shagun and a waiter took raman to a room, while Raman was hanging on them. They took raman inside and after sometime ashok came. The waiter went out while ashok was there all night.
Ishita-so Mrs bhalla, what ashok was doing when u two had ur moment.
Shagun-woh woh, he came to help me.
Ishita-kaisi help and what was the need to take a drunken Mr bhalla to a hotel room in place of dropping him home.
Shagun-raman told me to do so. Actually he wanted to take our relationship ahead as he loved me.
Raman -she is lying, I never loved her.
Ishita looked at Raman and told him to be silent-ok,then tell me why ashok came there. Aur sirf aaya hi nahi, he stayed there. Was u guys were doing everything infront of it so called brother.
Shagun-shut up u bitch , warna main tumhara muh noch lungi, ur honour I am respected lady, I don't know what she is trying to prove.
Ishita-mind ur language, warna abhi yahin bata dungi that who is botch here. And the thing I am trying to prove is ki iss respected lady ne Mr bhalla ki trap kiya tha, they never spend night together and she wasn't pregnant at that time and never had any miscarriage. And I had witness for it .saying so ishita called the waiter,who give the statement that Shagun gave him money to spike Raman's drink. Then ishita called the nurse who gave statement that Shagun wasnt pregnant nor had any miscarriage.
Ishita-so ur honour, I think I have proved that Mrs Shagun bhalla trapped Mr bhalla to marry him.
Judge -yes miss iyer, u have proved the Mrs bhalla trapped Mr Raman bhalla, and I will register a case of forgery against her but u r forgetting the case here is of dowry harassment.
Ishita-i am coming on that point it honour. She said when defence lawyer got up and said-i want a date, ur honour.
Ishita -for what, why u want a date all of a sudden.
Defence lawyer-kyun, nahi mil sakta. Jab aapke kehne pe aapko date de di thi, they why not for me .i too want date.
Ishita-ur honour, r we here to play tit for tat.i took date as I felt that bhallas r innocent and Mrs Shagun bhalla trapped them. So I dig out the matter and now even being a public prosecutor ,I am defending the bhallas, coz I know they r trapped. Aapko kis liye chahiye date. Aapka kaam toh main kar rahi hoon.
D. L-its just a date ur honour. I don't know why miss iyer is creating fuss over it.
Ishita-jaa kar jail mein rahiye, u will get ur answer.
D. L-main kyun jail mein rahun, I didn't anything wrong.
Ishita-exactly my point. Why bhallas will spend few more days in jail when they r innocent.ur honour, give me sometime, I will prove that they r innocent. Please ur honour, it's the question of three lives. U can't be leneint.
Judge look at the bhallas who were looking at him with hopeful eyes.
Judge -koi date nahi milegi, faisla aaj hi hoga. He said making ishita happy whike bhallas look at her with grateful eyes.
