I entered into the bungalow and saw a lady cleaning the furnitures...
'May i help you Sir...' she said...
'I want to meet Roli's grandmother...' i said...
'You are Mr. Siddhant Bharatwaj???' she enquired...
'Yes i am...' i said...
'Please be seated Sir... ' she said and went inside to inform about my arrival...
I sat on the sofa & looked around...
In a while... an old lady came from a room...
'Welcome Mr. Siddhant... I only called you.. I am Roli's grand mother...' she introduced herself...
'Hello Grandmother...'i greeted with a smile...
She sat in the other chair and looked at me from head to toe...
'Grandmother.. i wonder about calling me hear...' i said...
'I got something to discuss with you.. thats why...' she said...
'Ok.. please tell me...' i said...
'I checked with my people who is handling Roli's family biz and came to know its you... thats why i called you here...' she said...
'Yes i am only taking care...' i confirmed...
'Actually you know i am old and taking care of Roli since her parents death... i dont know how long i will be alive as i got more complication health wise... Before something happens to me.. i wish to transfer all my properties to Roli legally...' she said...
'Oh ok... do you want legal advise or lawyer to do that...' i asked...
'Not exactly.. i got my own lawyers... i can do that...' she said...
I wonder then for what she called me...
'Do you want any other help from me???' i asked...
'Actually Roli is minor & just 16 years old.. i want a guardian till she become major and becomes ready to handle all these properties.. so...' she paused with hesitation...
'So what grandmother...' i asked...
'I thought of giving that person who is taking her family responsibility the responsibility of becoming her gaurdian as well... In my imagination i thought the responsible person who is handling such huge biz is some old man while i never expected you to be so young...' she said looking at me...
'What if i am young... is there any rule that young man cant be responsible...' i asked...
'Not that... but how can i you as Gaurdian of my grand daughter...' she concluded her hesitation...
I realised now why she was looking at me from head to toe...
'I am sorry if i gave impression of a play boy type but i assure you i am not the one...' i clarified...
'Not at all my man... i didn't see you a s a play boy.. but at the same time you know the age you both are bothers me...' she said...
'What are you trying to tell grandmother...' i asked again...
'I mean you are young and you didn't see her yet.. If this is one side.. she is on her teenage and you are quiet handsome young man... thats what bothers me...' she said...
'Sorry.. i cant do anything about my age... i cant grow old overnight to get rid of your fear... but can assure that i wont let any harm to your grand daughter... if you still fear to give that responsibility to me.. i dont mind if you find some one else to handover that responsibility... ' i said...
I got up from the sofa to start from there...
When i took couple of steps...
'Stop Siddhant...' she said while i stopped...
'Please take your seat...' she said while i sat back on the sofa...
'Please dont mistake me.. i didn't mean that... being old lady & her grand mother its obvious to get such fear.. which i think you too will understand...' she said...
'Of course i do... i didn't blame you for anything... i just feel guilty that i am unable to help you...' i said...
'Dont feel guilty... i am happy with your attitude and you...' she said...
'You mean you trust me...' i asked...
'Yes i do.. i will inform my lawyer to contact you to complete the paper works.. Please coordinate with him...' she said...
'Sure i will... Shall i start...' i asked...
'Please wait.. let me introduce you to Roli so that she may not wonder tomorrow who you are...' she said...
She gave instruction to the maid to bring Roli to the hall...
In a while.. maid bring a beautiful girl with her...
'Grand mother you called me...' she asked and sat beside grandmother...
'Yes Roli.. Meet Mr. Siddhant... who is taking care of all your family biz...' she introduced me...
Roli...
OMG.. how beautiful she is...
I can now understand why her grandmother was fearing to give her on my responsibility...
My heart is beating fast seeing her...
'Hi...' she said with a husky voice...
How sweet her voice is...
'Young man.. this is Roli my grand daughter... Roli Divedi...' she introduced her to me...
'Hi..' i said almost a whisper...
I wonder where my voice got blocked...
We looked at each other while our eyes locked for a moment...
I can hear her grand mother adjust her throat to reveal her presence...
I down my face for a moment feeling guilty that i proved that i am getting distracted by her grand daughter...
Still i cant hold my eyes which is capturing her images and saving it in my heart...
