Part 37

Rd reaches the supermarket and he grabs all the chocolates that he could find there and a few bottles of soft drinks...he rushes to the billing counter, pays the bill and drives back home as fast as he could.But all this time the thought that was killing him was the fact that why in the whole wide world he was doing it for her...eventhough he was aware of the answe..it was like he don't want to accept it.

He goes into the wardrobe but she wasn't there then he goes back to the kitchen only to find her sitting at the dining table with her head resting on the table

Rd-didn't I tell you to use this(holding the tumbler in his hand)

Sanyu looks at him and then at his hand but instead of looking at the tumbler her eyes were aiming at the other packet in his hands...

Sanyu-whats that?

Rd-I m not your dad(giving her the packet)so don't demand things from me.

Sanyu with utter confusion opens the packet only to find it filled with chocolates and her face gleams with happiness

Sanyu-are these for me?

Rd-no...its for me(sarcastically)

Sanyu(makes a funny face)-yeah right

Rd was a bit surprised at such a behaviour of her towards him...but he lets it pass

He goes to the kitchen counter and serves lunch in two plates and slides one towards sanyu

Sanyu-I m not hungry

Rd-did I ask you?

Sanyu-but I don't want to eat(bites at the third bar of chocolate)

Rd-looks like you have hunger for those(pointing at the chocolate)

Sanyu-look sir you only brought these right...so I had it and now I m not hungry

Rd-really? Fine then (takes the chocolate pack and once again slides the plate of food towards her)now eat

Sanyu(mumbling)-huh akdu kahi ka...

Rd-what?

Sanyu-nth(she starts eating her lunch with a silly expression on her face)

Rd looks at her and gives off a small smile

After lunch rd was in his room and sanyu was on the sofa still holding on to her stomach and watching tv

She was shuffling through channels when she stops at a channel which was showing one of rd's movie

She smiles widely and settles herself on the sofa with her chocolates in her lap and watches the movie

Inside the room rd was talking to kaka on the phone

Rd-kaha ho kaka aap...?

Kaka-baba mein woh bade sahab ke yaha hoon...sanyu beti ne bataya nahi meine unhe kaha tha ki mein kal hi aaonga aur who khana garam karke khaa le

Rd-oh accha...apki sanyu bitiya ne nahi bataya...waise waha kya kaam hai kaka

Kaka-kuch nahi baba woh bade sahab ne bola aaj yahi ruk jao meine mana kiya tha par mane nahi

Who kya hai na baba ki parth aur arpita bitiya bhi apni dost ki shaadi mein gaye hai to bade sahab akele the to mein aa gaya...waise sanyu bitiya ki tabiyat ab kaisi hai

Rd-oh k kaka...haan aggarwal theek hai..ok kaka mein phone rakhta hoon

Kaka-ji baba

Rd-aamm waise kaka...woh ...dad kaise hai

Kaka(smiles a bit)-bade sahab bilkul theek hai...baat karwao

Rd-nahi kaka mein rakhta hoon bye

Rd cuts the phone not waiting for kaka to say anything.

He stands there thinking "what did I even ask that for?" not being able to anwer his own question he walks out into the living room only to see sanyukta crying looking at the tv with her one hand on her stomach and the other one holding a chocolate.he goes near her

Rd-hey aggarwal what happened

Sanyu-you...you are so mean?

Rd(confused)-huh?wht did I do now

Sanyu-how can you leave her..she didn't even do anything...it was all your friend's doing?

Rd(even more confused)-what are you babbling about?

Sanyu points at the tv and then only he gets her point..she was talking about one of rd's movie she was watching

Rd-oh god...you are insane...whats wrong with you..its just a movie...its not real.

Sanyu(mumbling)-yeah right as if you don't hurt people in real.

Rd-I heard that

Sanyu-what?i didnt even say anything.

Rd-ok fine,now wipe you face...its all smugged with chocolate(throws a tissue box at her)

Sanyu-ouch!(sh e glares at him and wipes her face)

Rd looks at her and sees that some chocolate was still there at the right end of her lower lip...rd bends down and their faces were inches apart and sayu was taken aback by this sudden proxymity and rd forwards his hand to wipe her lips when she cover her lips with her hands and stand from the sofa and rd was shocked at this sudden reaction of her

Rd-what?

Sanyu-i...i will do it myself..thank you(she runs into the room and rd sits there )

Rd-what happened to her...(then suddenly he remembers the night they kissed and smiles to himself)

Here in the washroom sanyu was washing her face and rd's face which was so near to her a few mins back comes to her mind which only took her to the memories of their kiss and she again washes her face with water

Sanyu-just wake up sanyukta...your life is not a fairy tale...you are noone to him...and there are millions of girls like you in this world,so you are noone spl to him..just do your job here you are just his assistant

Eventhough she was convincing herself with such words but her own words were piercing

her heart like daggers and how badly she wanted them not to be true..but who was she fooling

she was engrossed in her thought when she hears rd calling her

rd-miss aggarwal come out

sanyu-yes sir(she wipes her face and goes out only to see rd holding the same tumbler in his hands)

rd-go and lie on bed and place this on your stomach...this will give some relief

without saying anything she takes the tumbler from his hand and walks to her wardrobe when rd calls her from behind and she looks at him

rd-I told you to lie on the bed

sanyu-yes sir I m going to the wardrobe

rd-just use my bed for the day

sanyu-no sir its ok...I will use mine only

rd-I m not asking you aggarwal...I m telling you...so just do as I say

sanyu-yes sir...and hesitantly she first sits on his bed and the slowly lowers her head onto his pillow

the scent of his colonge fills her and she drifts off to a sweet sleep

After being sure that sanyukta is fast asleep rd comes out takes his reading glasses and starts doing some paper work, after some time he hears a car horn blaring and someone shouting at his guards...he walks to the main door only to find a black suv which he recognized as one of his co-stars riya

Rd-what the hell

The watchman comes running to rd

Watchman-sir...riya mam is making a fuss that she wants to meet you

Rd-just let her in

Watchman-yes sir(he signals the other standing at the gate and the gate was opened and her car enters and she steps out of the car

Riya-hey rd

Rd(coldly)-what do you want?

Riya-wow!is this how you treat the guest

Rd-It looks like hosting is not my cup of tea

Riya-who can know that better than me(saying so she moves into the house) you know I was your rumored girlfriend(smiles)

Rd clutches his teeths and moves inside behind her

Rd-if you are not here for anything in particular then I strongly suggest that you must leave

Riya-why? Are you afraid that I might see something or maybe (in a lower tone) someone will see me?

That's when he thinks of sanyukta who is fast asleep in his bedroom on HIS bed

Rd-what do you want riya?

Riya-hearing that name from you mouth still feels special

Rd(mockingly)-really? That's amazing coz the last thing I remember you say is that I should forget that you even exist.

Riya pretends not to hear him and sits on the sofa where she sees a few bar of chocolates and bottles of soft drinks on the coffee table and she picks one of them

Riya-mm chocolates

She was about to take one bite when rd grabs her hand ending up spilling the soft drink all over her

Riya-what the hell rd

Rd-never ever touch things that are not yours especially my things... and lower your voice

Riya stands from the sofa and starts walking into rd's room when rd stops her

Rd-where the hell do you think you are going?

Riya-to wash this (showing him the stain caused by the soft drink)

Rd-just go and wash it where ever you want but not here

Riya-looks like someone has got even more uncivilized

Rd-you don't know dear how uncivilized I can be...so just leave

Riya holds his collar and pulls him towards her

Riya-show me then

Rd holds riya's hands and she releases his collar and he slightly pushes her away from him

Rd-didn't I just now tell you not to touch things that are not yours so don't you dare touch me again and get out or should I just call my security

Riya-fine...i was here to give you this (she takes out a file from her purse and gives that to him)

Riya-bye rd see you soon

As soon as her car leaves sanyu peeks out of the door of their room

Sanyu(clears her throat)-amm was that riya mathur

Rd-hmmm,since when you were up

Sanyu-since you spilled that coke at her

Rd-oh

Rd walks towards the sofa and calls sanyu

Rd-do you plan to stand there forever

Sanyu-amm no sir...

She comes out and goes and stands next to rd...it was for the first time in these 2 months that she was seeing him in those reading glasses and only god knows why but her heart was beating so loud that she swear to god that rd could hear that while rd was totally engrossed in the file he was reading when he suddenly speaks

Rd-sit

Sanyu-huh...yes sir

He gives her the file he was holding

Rd-read this

Sanyu-what is this sir?

Rd-it's a script...not a script just the first draft of a commercial that i will be directing next month

Sanyu(reading the script)-mmhmm...

Rd-I want you to read this and give me your review

Sanyu(shocked...looks at him)-huh...you want my review on this

Rd-which part of "give me your review"you didn't understand aggarwal?

Sanyu-give my review as in GIVE MY REVIEW? Are you sure about it?

Rd-mmhmm..thats right...it's not a big commercial but I want to test your skills before giving you any serious projects

Sanyu not being able to hold her excitement back hugs or should I say literally jumps onto him and both of them land onto the sofa but that was not of any concern to her

Sanyu-thank u thank u thank u soo much sir...you are the bestest person I've ever seen

Sanyu(not giving any heed to him)-I knew that you would believe in me...thank you soo much sir

Rd(little more louder)-aggarwal

That's when sanyu stops and looks at their position...she was totally and completely upon him and he was supperting her waist to avoid her from falling of the sofa

She looks at his spectacled face and her heart again starts beating faster...she tries to get up but falls onto him with her head resting on his chest

An awkwardness fills the room, when she tries to get up again only to find her hair tangled in his t-shirt's button

Sanyu-ouch!

Rd-what happened?

Sanyu-my hair

Rd(irritated)-wait...

Rd holds her with both his hands keeping her head near his chest he sits and makes sanyu sit on his lap

Sanyu-sir!

Rd-don't move...you will get yourself hurt wait

He holds her head near his chest with one hand and untangles her hair using other

And as soon as he releases her head she jumps off his lap

Sanyu-thank you sir

She runs into the room to hide her flustered face

Here rd smiles at her running form and mutters smilingly "silly girl".
