Welcome back after a long break. A great update . Will Kushi volunteer to be with Anjali so that Arnav and go for his dream job without being guilty

Story so far...

Arnav Singh Raizada is Professor of Molecular Biology in Yale University. He is smart, intelligent but lack social etiquette. His sister, Anjali Raizada, is a famous mystery writer. Arnav's life comes to a halt when his sister is diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's, a disease that would make her forget everything some day, even her name.

Arnav spoke about her sister's illness to one of his good friends, Akash Gupta. Akash knew someone who also had suffered from the same disease, his mother, whom he had left long ago. He did not speak to his mother at all which baffled his sister, Khushi Gupta. Khushi loved her mother and could not understand why would a son like Akash would leave her and her mother when they were in pain. On other hand, Akash was very close to his father who according to Khushi, had always berated his wife and Khushi's mother. According to Khushi, her mother had always loved her father and her father had always verbally abused her. Khushi had seen things that no human being should see. Her mother and father both died and she did not speak to her brother. Her life was nothing but full of pain and hurt. Khushi had always wanted to write and she had started a novel named Chasing Fireflies', on her own life. But she could never end it or even speak about it to anyone. She never chased her dreams because of her past.

Due to lack of money, Khushi accepted a job offer from Arnav Singh Raizada to be Anjali's caregiver. Khushi and Arnav had a bumpy start. Armav would have asked Khushi to leave his house on day one he met her, if she had not been so wonderful with his sister. Khushi would have left Arnav's house but she liked Anjali and decided to help her. Eventually, Arnav's pain and Khushi's past brought them close and a sweet friendship was born.

Khushi came to know about her family's truth when Akash decided to speak to Khushi and build a normal relationship with his sister. Khushi came to know that her mother was having an affair with her husband's close friend. Akash had walked onto them and caught them red handed which broke his heart. No amount of apologizes made him change his mind about her mother's betrayal. He was broken beyond repair. So was Khushi's father who tried hard who forgive his wife but could not and ended up hurting her verbally. Khushi did not know all this until Akash decided to tell her. She still could not forgive Akash because she felt hurt not knowing her own family's truth. That was when Arnav stood with her. Khushi gradually fell in love with Arnav, the man she hated so much couple of months ago. Arnav feels something different too but it is hard from him to pin point what exactly he is feeling.

Arnav's past was murky too, he was in relationship with a woman named Tara during his college. This relationship had left him hurt. He blames himself for something, not many people know about, neither his sister Anjali, nor his newly found friend Khushi. He thinks he is over it but subconsciously many decisions of his life are influenced by his unfortunate relationship with Tara. One of those decisions is staying away from love.

Arnav got a job offer from his dream University, University of California, Berkeley. Anjali asks him to go to Berkeley and at least see what is it like to get what he had always wanted in his life. Anjali actually wants Arnav to move away from her because her health is deteriorating and she wants to keep him shielded with all the ugliness of Alzheimer's.

Arnav is torn between two options and Khushi has finally accepted her love for Arnav who is still oblivious to her feelings.

Other characters:

Aman: Arnav's college roommate and friend who helped him overcome Arnav from his bad relationship with Tara.

Payal: Akash's girlfriend who helped Akash understand importance of telling truth to Khushi.
