"Uma sambhalo khudko... Please calm down." maasima tried to stop uma. She ran behind him blocking his way to the door. She has to think fast or else she was aware to what extent uma can go in rage.
"I need to speak to her . right now! She have to give me answer for rejecting me." uma screamed in anger. He pushed maasi aside before making a dash towards his car. Nanda (maasi) thought to stop him but she had never seen her uma so much furious before. Her courage to stop uma let alone call him from behind gave up. She silently prayed to god to help uma. She feared his action.
Uma was in the middle of way . his hands clutched in fist on steering wheel. His eyes changed to pure black. His face turned evil. As slowly his mind drifted to morning event.
After taking address from uma Nanda maasi planned and organized a meet with her family. When she went there she was introduced to 2 young men who were kanak brothers and an old woman who is kanak grand mother. Nanda felt not really impressed with kanak background. She found that kanak parents have died long back and she had spent most of her life in hostel. Seeing that she worried about her upbringing. She had a doubt whether kanak matched to their status and standard. Yet seeing how much uma wants her. She decided to mould her once she becomes a part of their family.
She kept uma marriage proposal tagging along how rich and respect family they are and also how lucky kanak is because uma chose her out of all other woman.
When this was informed to kanak she didnt took a blink before saying no. She rejected him , insulting uma in every possible way she could. Her bitter words have triggered evil in uma, the moment nanda told her kanaks decision. And now he is all set to meet kanak in furious pace.
The bell to kanaks room ringed and she opened it. Only to reveal a mad uma shankar.
"Ap yaha?" were the only words she could manage when she looked at his pitch black orbs.
Uma didnt have patient for formal rounds so he raised his hand and pushed the door making kanak backaway in process.
The fear in kanak, gripped her heart tight. She couldnt risk herself with this man again. The pitcher of last time replayed before her eyes and sooner did it play, she made a mad run towards the bathroom.
Uma kept his eyes intently locked with kanak. He watched closely as the color of her face drained out. His guts warned him about kanak action when kanaks eyes darted from him to bathroom and then she ran.
Uma ran behind her in a blink but kanak proved faster than uma. She won beating uma at race and locked the door thoroughly from inside.
"Kanak open the door." uma shouted from other side of room.
Kanak backed away in fear . she looked here and there and brought from bucket to jug on the door to secure it more from opening.
After few times of banging on wooden surface, uma finally stopped.
"Kanak..." he shut his eyes and took few deep breathe to calm his nerves down.
Finally, he opened his eyes much composed than before.
" listen, i am not here to cause you any harm. Please just come out we need to talk. " he sinked on floor slowly and occupied a place beside the door.
" hey bhagwan.. Kya kru main? Ye admi mere peeche he pad gaya hai. Please bhagwan ji...is raavan ko yaha se bhaga do...please...jaldi." she sent loud prayer to sky folding her hand against her chest.
"Kanak..please." he tried once more giving a last tap on door.
Kanak nods her head in no and she finally take a seat next to bath tub. Hiding her small frame behind a curtain.
Few minutes passed and none of them uttered any word . finally uma broke the silence with a sigh.
"Okay. You dont have to open the door. I am not coming in. But please just listen to me. Hmm?" he waited for some response but finding none, he chuckled to himself and continued.
"Kanak ...apne mana kyu kiya? Kya bat hai please mujhse kaho?" he paused and tilted his head towards lock door.
" main apse shadi krna chahte hu. Ap mujhpe vishwas rakhe. Main apko humesha khush rakhunga." he smiled with on his future memories with her.
"Apko kisi cheez ki kami nahi hogi. Ap sun rahi hai na.." uma tilted his head and kept his ear on door to listen any sighn of her moment.
"Kanak...ap ki khamoshi kuch kaam nahi kr rahi hai. Ap apne dil me jo hai keh dijiye. Main sun raha hu.."he waited again for response.
"Dekhiye.." came a soft muffled voice from other side of door.
A wide smile spreaded accross his face the moment he heard her voice.
" main apse shadi nahi krna chahti. Ap please mera peecha chod dijjiye. " she said and then turned back in her deep thoughts pondering upon all that she heard from her family about them.
Uma stood in his full lenght as his eyes burnt with passion. " we are going to get marry kanak. And you will accept me as your husband."
The line echoed the room soon after that sound of footsteps followed behind. The line were scary enough for kanak to bring nightmare she was sure after today encounter she wont be have peace for days.

Past few days went dreadful for kanak. Umashankar never left one chance to scare the hell out of her. She feared him enough more but didnt bend her knees. She stood firm on her decision of not marrying him. Uma on other hand got very disturbed with his rejection and out of rage he didn many things which he regretted latter. But he had no control for his actions anymore, the mere thought of this girl made him crazy. And like a love struck teeneger he went on his knees to convince her for marriage.
" kanak" santosh, kanak's grandmother called from kitchen.
Kanak happily ran to kitchen hearing her voice.
"Ji bhabho?" she said darting her eyes at the gift rap package in santosh hands
"Ye kya hai?" kanak asked curiously picking up the package from bhabho.
"Thare liye aya hai. Hey mara ramji. Dekh kya hai isme." she said while settling her pallo over her head neatly.
Kanak curiously took the package to near by table and started tearing the gift rap. She then slowly peeled out the envelop from it. It had few papers with a small note stapled to it.
Kanak unfolded the paper and started reading them. Her face turned pale reading them. The moment she scrolled next few pages to and fro few times before stopping herself at page 1.
" kya hai ye?" santosh inquired. She saw kanaks reaction which worried her.
" its court notice." she took the paper before her eyes as few drops started to appear in her orbs.
"Notice? Kaisa notice?" the old woman asked taking the paper from kanaks hand.
" bhabho it says us to evacuate our shop in 7 days. It says we have sold our shop to someone and are staying illegally in his land."
"Hey mara ramji.." santosh brings both her hand on her head. Her head started to spin.
" haan bhabho...it says we have sold our shop to raavan." kanak nods her head in no.
" or ye kya hai?" santosh asks showing the note attached to the papers.
" bhabho, it's his proposal in it." she shred tears as she see the note.
" proposal?" santosh pats kanaks back giving her courage to speak.
"Bhabho..it says, he had purchased our shop from the person with whom we have kept it as mortgage. And to get it back... He wants me to either pay 1crore in 7 days...or..." she sulks and cries.
"Or?"
" or he wants me to marry him on 7th day.and if i dont choose any option amongst he gave he will demolish our shop on 7th day from today..."
Kanak heart cried with hatred for the man who has intentionally put her in this situation...
