I started watching this show couple months back (right before the leap) and about a month ago landed upon some old episodes of this show on you tube. they were so GOOD, made me compelled to watch the whole series. And now having watched the last 200 episodes I felt bad I had missed out on this series for so long. they were so well scripted, so very well acted, everything and everyone's acting seemed so natural, even GKB was so natural in her meanness.

Then why suddenly does it all seem artificial now, it seems the content is still there, but something is missing. Starting with the appearances - everyone is so over the top, loved the costumes and the subtlety prior to the leap.. now it all seems so garish. Everyone seems to have lost that charm which made the series what it was. In Asha one could see everyone's mom with her so casual sarees and now she also looks so different, good for her, but does not suit the character. Shaheer Sheikh's physique/ look was so much better and suited to his character, seriously wish he would go back to atleast looking like the old Dev (even if not dressing up like before). Really liked everything about him in the episodes pre-leap. seems now their acting and emotions towards each other is all forced, like really they met after 7 years. Maybe rumors about some trouble between him and Erica are true and are affecting their acting. Elena too looks so garish, sisterly love before was so endearing, now seems artificial. GKB needs to go back to her hindi speaking mean, way over the top. hopefully the artists and makers realize how it is being perceived and make the necessary changes before it is too late...
or else we might just have to keep on watching and listening to the beautiful music in old episodes on YouTube.
