Khushi opened her eyes and found herself lying on the bed. She looked around to get a complete clue about her whereabouts when she felt small ache on her hand, she hissed and looked at the side. "Don't worry, you are fine."

Khushi looked at him for few good seconds and seeing the stethoscope around his neck, she could understand he is a doctor. "Doc.. Doctor my baby?"

"Don't worry.. You and your baby.. Both are fine. You should thank that person who took you here, if he wouldn't stop the car by time then you would have laid on the operation table right now." As the doctor said, Khushi tried to remember what exactly happened but what she remembered was - goons were behind them and a car approached on her way and she fainted. "You take rest." She came back to her sense hearing his voice.

"Thank.. Thank you doctor."

The doctor was going to leave when the guy walked in while setting his sleeves. Before they clashed into each other, he paused. "Wohoo..! Relax young man." The doctor said with a smile.

"Oh..! Sorry doc.. How.. How's she?"

"Yes. She and her baby both are fine." As he heard about the baby, he gets shocked, he looked at Khushi asking, "Baby?"

"Yeah.. She is pregnant. Anyways take care of her. And by the way, I hope you took good treatment on your injured hand." Doctor said looking at his hand which had bandage tied. "Oh.. Yeah..! Absolutely."

"Okay then take care."

"Thank you doc." He smiled and the doctor left the room. He walked in and stood near to the bed, "Aahh.. So? How are you?"

Khushi looked up at him and gets up. "No. You take rest."

"I am fine." She said giving a cold glare at him and tried to get up but due to the sprain on her ankle, she felt difficult.

"You are not properly well. Take rest. Once you get fine, I'll drop you at your place."

"NO..!" She said making him shock all of sudden, seeing his suspicious glare at her, she said, "I.. I mean I can go my own."

"Oh.. Ohk .. But right now, you need some rest." He said politely and going to leave when she said with hesitation, "Can.. Can you tell me what exactly happened? I don't remember anything."

"Okay. Let's start with an introduction. Hi.. I'm Arnav.. Arnav Singh Raizada."

Khushi smiled slightly saying, "Khushi.. Khushi Kha.." But she paused as she remembered about her terrific life. "Khushi.. Only Khushi."

"Oh.. So Khushi? You really don't remember what exactly happened?" Arnav asked suspicious when she nod her head. "Can you tell me one thing.. Being pregnant, how could you put your and baby's life in danger? Do you have any idea if I wouldn't take control on my car then you both could have died and who were the goons? Where were you going alone from that way?" Suddenly his voice raised.

"It would be nice if we both died." She murmured so Arnav couldn't hear it properly. "Excuse me?" Khushi shook her head looking down.

"... And how irresponsible your husband. How could he leave his wife alone in this time?" Arnav said controlling his anger but Khushi didn't say anything as she herself knew in which circumstances, she was going through.

"Can you tell me where we are?" She asked avoiding his questions.

"In my hotel room. I came here for some meeting."

"Oh.. I see.. I am sorry for troubling you. I think I should leave." Saying this she was going to get up.

"It's okay Khushi. It's late night. You call your husband and inform him you are safe and you'll reach tomorrow morning." Arnav said forwarding his phone to her, Khushi looked on nervous. "Have it and call him."

With trembling hands, she received the phone and dialed her phone number but thankfully before she left the house, she kept her phone switched off. "It's switch off."

"Then?"

"Don't worry.. I'll convince him." She said with a fake smile.

"Okay. You take rest. I'll order your dinner, have your medicine after your dinner." He said and left the bedroom.

After having her dinner, she was getting prepared to sleep when Arnav walked in. "You sleep here. I'm in living room, if you need anything call me. Good night."

Arnav was tossing and turning on the small sofa, he wasn't used to sleep on such small place when getting irritated, he sat back. Arnav walked to the window side and lit a cigarette. He was having it when suddenly he heard some noise from bedroom, he quickly finished his smoke and walked to see whether Khushi need anything or not. Arnav pushed the knob of the door and walked in, he found the room dark and heard some noise, he looked at Khushi and saw her getting restless. Arnav turned on the lights and walked to her confuse, as he reached to her, he could hear her clear voice. "No.. Please.. Please.. Don't beat me. I.. I haven't done anything wrong, believe me..! No.. No..!" Arnav saw her sweating, he immediately sat beside her and shook her. "Khushi? Khushi?"

"No.. No.. Please.." Khushi murmured in sleep when Arnav shook her giving a massive jerk on her body. Khushi opened her eyes and hugged him crying. She cried vigorously tightly hugging him. Arnav was shocked, he didn't understand how to react on this situation. With lots of thoughts, finally he lifted his hand and placed on her shoulder, "Ssh..! Relax.. Khushi.. It was a nightmare only.. Sshh..!"

Feeling Arnav's touch on her shoulder, Khushi gathered herself, she free her grip on him and pulled herself back looking down. Arnav saw her and passed the water glass. "Have it..!"

Khushi took few sips and sobbed. "It's okay Khushi. It was a nightmare only. Go to sleep." Saying this Arnav placed the glass on the side table and was going to leave when he heard her saying, "It wasn't nightmare, it was my past, I live that moments."

Arnav turned at her confuse. "What do you mean? I don't get you."

Khushi narrated him about her married life, how her husband always doubt her and how tortured her day and night and finally she decided to leave him for sake of her baby. "Are you out of your mind Khushi? How could you tolerate all this?"

"I thought my love would change him." She sobbed.

"Khushi, this type of men never can change. They just never learn how to respect women. I wonder, how did you take such wrong decision about your life..! That guy.. He.. He doesn't have any right to live. You just tell me his name, I will show him, his place." Arnav said with anger.

"No.." She stopped him.

"Why? You still bothering about him?"

"It's not like that. I left the house, I left him, now I don't want to go back to that place, I don't want to face him. I just want to move on, I want to go somewhere where his shadow can't even reach, where I can give my child a secure life. Now, I only have one reason to live and that's my baby." She said placing her hand on her stomach showing so much affection for her baby.

"I understand your emotion but..." Arnav tried to say something but Khushi stopped him saying, "No, if but.. I thought you are genuine, so I shared my past with it. You did a favor by taking me here. Can you do one more?" She asked wiping her tears, he looked at her. "Can you please drop me at railway station tomorrow morning?"

"... And where will you go?" He asked crossing his arms on his chest.

"I don't know. Where my destiny take me."

"Don't be childish Khushi. You know the world, you would have been into some trouble if I wouldn't take you here and you are thinking to spend your life alone in some unknown place..! Have you lost your mind.. And by the way, how will manage your financial crisis?" He asked sarcastically.

Khushi heard him and lowered her eyes replying, "I'll manage."

"It's easy to say but ten times difficult to do."

"I'll die but I'll not return to him."

".. And I am not asking you to do that. But you can go with me to Mumbai right?" Arnav said making her shock.

"With you?"

"Yes. You'll stay with my family at my place." He said.

"I am sorry but I can't."

"Why? When you can stay alone then why not you stay with my family? And if you are thinking about your financial issues..! Then you can join my office, I pay my employee a good salary and with that you can easily manage your expenses and I will get a new employee. After working few months, if you think to shift somewhere, I won't stop you then."

"But..." Still she hesitated.

"Khushi, not for you but think about your baby and then take any decision." He slightly smiled at her and left the room leaving confused Khushi. She recalled about Arnav's offer.

Lovely start.. Arnav is so sweet and caring.. hope he had met Khushi earlier and she would have not gone through that hell of married life.. liked Arnav's offer.. well waiting to hear Khushi's reply.. loved the update..
