Sona took the bowl of ice cream from Aayat and closed the door. Dev played the movie and immediately a smile appeared on his handsome face.

A few minutes into the movie, Dev was literally calling out every dialogue. Sona was a first timer and she was enjoying watching Dev more than the movie. She licked onto the ice cream spoon and looked at Dev for the nth number of time. He is such a sweetheart she thought.

Dev probed her to look at the screen, "Look at them. Tilu. Hahaha." He laughed at one of the scenes from the movie. Sona was slowly getting into the flow of the movie. "Aankhen nikalke gotiyan khelunga..." she laughed.

A lot of joint laughs later, ice cream was almost over, the movie was about to end, Sona reached for the ice cream spoon, and at the very moment Dev made his move towards it. She looked at him sharply, "Don't even think about it" came a warning. "Oh! I have already thought about it" He smirked and tugged at the spoon, Sona tugged back. The last spoon of the molten ice cream flew out of the spoon and landed on Dev's cheek. Dev's jaw dropped and Sona couldn't stop laughing. He squinted his eyes, plotting an evil plan in mind, held Sona and in a split of a second rubbed his ice cream laden cheek to hers.

For a moment the time stopped as Dev looked into Sona's eyes. Sona hit him on his shoulder, "You are dead, Dev". She reached for the bowl, scrapped out the left over ice cream extract and painted his face with ice cream. Dev sat stunned, his chocolaty face looked less, shocking and more, yummy. Sona chuckled and ran into the washroom.

They cleaned up and started watching a new movie. Neither Dev nor Sona realised when they dozed off next to each other.

Next Morning,

The sunrays seeped into Sona's room through the glass windows and fell on Dev's face, he frowned and turned away.

Sona woke up, her hair was a mess as usual, and she had never cared about it before today. She looked at a sleeping Dev and began tip toeing towards the washroom. "I don't care about your hair" Dev announced, eyes closed.

Sona stopped in the middle, "Neither do I, Dev. I was just going to the washroom" trying hard not to blush, she went into the bathroom.

Dev smiled and sat up. "Okay, now what am I supposed to do?" He thought. "Do I go home or... Should I stay for breakfast...?"

He was lost in his world when Sona came with the toothpaste tube. "Can you brush with your finger, for today?" she asked making a sheepish face. "Ya sure" he smiled, jumping out of the bed. "I'm waiting outside, Aayat has made waffles today" She declared, closing the room door behind her.

Dev sighed "Breakfast it is!" he pondered smiling and slowly nervousness creeped in, "Then what?" he thought. What followed was something Dev had never expected. He had had the best day of his life.

That evening, Sona plonked herself on the couch, "Aayat, juice, please" Dev kept the bags down and sat down on the sofa opposite to her. "Sona, separate the things, I'll leave in a while" Sona sat up, "You are not going anywhere, Dev"

"Sona, I can't keep crashing over here, every day" Dev uttered.

"Oh, I won't even let you crash here every day, Dev" she giggled. Aayat came in with the juices. "Di, what did you do today?" She asked, excited. "We did a lot of things Aayat. Let us change then we'll come and tell you everything."

Saying so Sona stood up, "Come I'll give you some of my clothes to wear" jabbing Dev. Dev's face portrayed a scandalised expression, "WHAT?" Sona pulled him up, "I'm kidding, I'll get Dada's clothes for you, come."

"Sona, are you sure... like..." he was hesitant. Sona handed him the clothes. "Dev, it's just a weekend come on... and see, we did have fun today, right?" she smiled.

As the moon rose up the starry sky, Dev and Sona shared a tasty dinner, sitting at her balcony.

"Aayat, that was so good" Dev remarked while washing his hands. Aayat couldn't stop blushing, "Thank you" she squealed.

"Aayat, come, I'll show what we got today." Sona called out. Dev followed Aayat into the hallway. He smiled and sat down next to Sona.

Few heartbeats into the moment and Sona was telling Aayat how much fun she had in her outing with Dev. "And, then this girl comes upto him and poor thing she started crying... Aayat, you should have seen his face." Sona tittered.

"Arre, I didn't know what to do, come on..." he maffled and suddenly his face shot up, "You know Aayat I am not the only one with a fan moment today, one aunty came to her and said she looked pretty in real life also, such lies" Dev winked and Aayat turned pink. Sona nudged Dev, "How mean..."

Sona and Dev were tired to the core by the time they finished showing their shopped stuff. They had shopped for Dev's apartment, Sona's apartment. They had got some clothes for Aayat and few books for Sona.

They staggered back to her room and Sona dozed off soon after, but Dev was awake next to her. He dabbed his fingers on his phone, typing away about his day.

[I had so much fun today. It's been a while, since I had enjoyed so much. There is something in her that makes everything seem so perfect. I can't believe I played the loop game today and I managed to win her a teddy bear. She is sleeping with it right now and I don't know why I feel so proud about it. She is a great friend and I really don't want my feelings to spoil this, which we have. Am I having feelings for her...? Why is this so scary? I am a grown man, I can handle this. I have been in a relationship before and I know what to do. But, why am I thinking about a relationship? It's just friendship. Sona is a very good friend of mine. She makes me smile, she makes me laugh. She's just so much fun to be with. I am afraid of losing her. She makes me feel so comfortable.]

He felt a tap on his thigh, "Dev, are you not able to sleep...?" she asked with a hoarse voice. "Any problem? You want something?"

Dev smiled, "No, I was just about to sleep." Sona smiled back at him and sat up to drink water. "Dev, I hope I am not pushing your comfort zone too much." She asked with a guilty tone.

"Not at all, Oh God, no." he spout. Dev breathed in and held Sona's hand, "I feel good here, Sona. I am lucky to have you as a friend." A warm smile appeared on her face. "Same here."

Sona leaned forward and hugged Dev, "You are a great friend too." Dev hugged her back. "Hey, you've never been to my terrace, right?"

She pulled Dev out of the bed and dragged him up to the terrace. Mumbai nights are one of the best. Sona and Dev stood at the edge of the fenced terrace and admired the beauty of Queen's Necklace', popularly known as, The Marine Drive'

"Isn't this amazing, Dev this view gives me peace every single time" she beamed. "And you give me peace" Dev thought. "What am I doing?" He shook his head.

"What? You don't like it"

"No" Dev waited. Sona's face fell. "I love it, Sonakshi" He smirked.

"Urgh..." She faked anger and hit him on his shoulder.

"Selfie?" Dev probed.

"Sure, another pic for #supermadness" Sona pouted

"Oh, madam wait, let me turn on the camera."

"Jaldiii" she pouted back again.

A lot of soft breathes and heartbeats later, they went back to her flat and tumbled into the bed.

The sun rose as usual, but, before Sona's alarm could wake them up, the doorbell rang. Sona tossed and dug her face into the pillow, when the door flew open and Champ barged in. He stood at Dev's side and began barking. Sona and Dev sat up in shock as Champ jumped onto Dev and held onto him in an attacking position.

"Champ, down" Sona shouted at her puppy. "Down I said"

Sona's parents had come back from their trip 2 days earlier than expected. Champ left Dev and rolled over to Sona making guilty noises and giving Dev small groans at intervals. Sona scratched his neck and was showered with a round of licks.

She looked at Dev and whispered, "They were supposed to come on Tuesday." Dev shot a helpless look at her expecting an answer.

Sona's parents came in hearing the ruckus made by Champ, "Hello young man, how did u manage to jump out of the TV and land up in my daughter's bed?" Sona's dad quizzed.
