Stockholm Syndrome last minute addition

On question has really been bothering me ever since I watched the last epilogue of the show .
Was Stockholm syndrome the last minute addition to the script ?. Years of torture can do break you down and love found in yrs and yrs of torture can make you go weak . But what really bothers me was the so many open ends that were left . Till last week they left a minute open door for Sadiq beieving in humanity . Open end taht His motto might not be against India but what eve he was doing was for even bigger purpose . However this thought of his just remained touched pass and all we were shown was an brainwashed human who blindly did whaterv he did .
The sequence of events shown week prev to last one looked like Siddhant ,may be a terrorist ,may be negative but there was a positive hidden agenda which was there ,but those haphazardly presented events and not given a proper closure to it makes me feel Makers wanted to take a different route but because of time crunch used STOCKHOLM SYNDROME Excuse .
