A Brand New Beginning
A young girl came down wearing stilettos and a short summer dress. She was about to go out when her mother interrupted, "And where are you going, Kaira". Kaira turned looking at her mom, Geet. She was exact carbon copy of her mom, but totally different in the personality which was of her father.
"Mom, daddy asked me join the business from today, he told me come to the office", Kaira answered. "Yes Bhabhi, I heard Bhai tell her", Annie said coming out supporting Kaira's statement . "Yes Geet, she is right", Ria supported her too. "Alright, alright , I get it shes telling the truth", Geet said. Kaira grinned seeing her bua and chachi supporting her. She was really pampered by the entire family for being the youngest out of the three children of the family. Maan had asked Rohan to live in the mansion where all of them belonged. Gaurav was married to Radhika, and they had a son.He was happy with his family and more happy to see his beloved sister happy. The children were very happy with each other.Annie's daughter Isha was married and visited them frequently. Samay was studying abroad.And as for Geet, she had a tough time with the father and daughter duo as Maan would not let anyone say a word to his little girl . "Alright, you can go then after having your breakfast", Geet said. Geet made her daughter eat properly before she rushed out. She was their only child and Maan has pampered her to the fullest.
She still recalled how happy he was when she was born. She recalled their past memories and now when they look back everything was beautiful. She smiled thinking about how her daughter was only 6 months old and her father was making her sit on his lap painting her nails and making her wear anklets or the bangles which he bought. How he would not let his little girl walk on the roads even when she was four, she smiled at the over possessive daddy her husband has turned out to be and she felt happy about that. He really used to get angry if anyone said anything to her, a teardrop from his daughter's eyes and then there will be hell for the person who was responsible for that.She got a call from him inquiring about his little girl, "Has my little princess left for office". "Maan she is not a kid, and yes she has, gosh, stop pampering her or she would not be able to settle down once married", Geet stated as a matter of fact. "Why are you always after her marriage Geet, she is still a child", Maan retorted. "She is 23 now, so she is not a kid", Geet said. "Whatever", He shrugged disconnecting the call. Geet sighed, thankfully without Maan noticing she and Annie did make her learn the kitchen work too. Though she was reluctant and even threatened she will tell her daddy but then she did everything . For Maan ,Kaira was still a child and same for Kaira no one was better than her dear daddy.
At the same time, a young man descended down greeting his parents at the breakfast table.
"Aarav , today I want you to meet our clients so you could officially take over the business". "Dad, why don't you just kick out the people who are slacking off work . The last time I went to the office those stupid female employees had nothing to do except gawk at you and me. If you kick them out then efficiency will be better ", He said making his mom to glare at her husband. "I told you to kick them off, but no Mr Singhania loves attention even at this age", Sara glared her husband who smiled nervously and glared at his son who grinned looking at the condition of his dad. "Dare you glare at my child, or else", Sara warned making Yash to concentrate on his breakfast, while Aarav hugged is mom. Aarav was an exact carbon copy of his dad, the first time when they walked in together many of the people fainted looking them walking like twins but he had inherited his mother's temper and he yelled at them getting them back to work. Aarav was a momma's boy for him, his mother mattered a lot, he would share everything with his mother making his dad land in undue trouble because of his over possessive wife. Yash was really happy with his little family after everything was over, they started with their little one. Sara was one hell of a possessive wife, she hated when any other woman looked his way and he loved teasing his wife for that, well that was his way to gain attention of his wife. "Aarav, if you continue being like your Hitler Mom then, I'm sure you are going to look older than you are. Well jokes apart, I want you there at 11. We are now permanently going to be settled here in India so I want you to get used to the work here too", He said leaving the mom and son duo who had their breakfast and then Aarav started for work.
Kaira was driving her car at a great speed and bam . She looked ahead to see the other person's car was totally damaged thanks to her. She knew she was in trouble so she got down from her car to apologize and pay for the damage. Aarav got down angrily too to give the stupid driver a piece of his mind for damaging his new car. Aarav looked ahead to see a young girl probably a little younger than him getting out from the other car, he was lost looking at her forgetting about the damage. Kaira looked at young man ahead and she said the only word which popped in her mind at that time, "Daddy, what are you doing here, and why are you not in your office attire...". Hearing , daddy, bought Aarav back from his la la land, daddy, did she just called him daddy, no no he must be dreaming, but his dreamland was struck by the reality again when she asked, "Daddy, why don't you answer". Daddy, no no he knew he looked a little older for his age but looking old enough to be a daddy was certainly a nightmare was his dad right on the breakfast table...Before he could answer, Kaira got a call, "Hello, little angel, when will you arrive here the clients are waiting"."Daddy, is that you", Kaira asked to confirm. Maan smiled, "You do know your daddy's voice right dear. Okay now come fast we are waiting". "If that is daddy then this must be ...gh...ghost", She said. "Listen Miss, I guess you are mistaken", Aarav tried to clear the misunderstanding but Kaira was too scared now and she fainted. "Great, now what should I do, yes take her to a hospital", He thought. He lifted her up and just then he got a call from his dad, "Aarav, where are you, its already late", Yash said. Aarav narrated the whole incident. "Dad, this girl is mad she called me daddy and then fainted", He said. "Shes not mad, may be her daddy does look like you", Yash smiled. "Dad, I guess you have gone mad too, I'm taking her to a nearby hospital", Saying this he disconnected the call. Yash dialed a number.
After half an hour Yash reached the hospital with Sara and Maan came there with Geet too. Aarav, was waiting for his family to arrive and when they came he rushed to his mother, "Mom, that girl is mad, she was calling me daddy, I did not do anything". "How dare you call my daughter mad young man. Yash, look at what your son is saying about my little angel", Maan roared. "Calm down Maan, your daughter was calling him daddy", Geet tried to calm him but now it was Aarav who looked at everyone wide eyed. "Y..you, I just admitted you in there, how come you are standing outside ...g..ghost..and dad now I can see three of us looking the same...I...I think I have lost it too...", Saying this he fainted too. "Great, here we go again", Sara said. "Looks like we have got a lot of explaining to do to them", Geet giggled looking at the children. "Sara, I'm not talking to you, you did not bother to contact me when you arrived in India", Maan pouted. "Maan this is not the time to quarrel like kids, I was going to tell you but Yash said we would surprise you", She said. "Surprise. You shocked the children", Geet said. "Alright, alright, I'm sorry now let's explain these two what is going on", Yash sighed. All four of them entered to find them both wide awake and now wide eyed once again looking at them. "What is going on", Both asked at the same moment. "Aarav, this is Maan and his wife Geet our old friends and that is his daughter Kaira", Yash said. "Daddy why do you three lookalike, are you twins", Kaira said confused. "No, dear, your mom and Yash met in Paris when they were studying and Sara is my childhood friend, my best friend", Maan told her half the truth. "Okay", Kaira understood nodding. "We were going to tell you but guess you met already", Sara explained. Both the children understood what was going on, "I'm extremely sorry for your car and calling you daddy", Kaira apologized. "Its okay, I can see why you said that", He shrugged. "Very well now that it settles it, let's go to work", Maan said. "Yes Daddy", Kaira stood up to leave. They left but not before Maan warning Sara to visit him by evening, "I'm still angry at you, so better come by our house". Sara smiled, "Try acting a bit mature now Maan, our kids will laugh at us". "Maan is right, you should visit us today itself", Geet said. They left to their respective work.
In the evening, as Maan and Geet asked Sara and Yash along with Aarav visited them. Annie hugged Sara, "Di, you forgot about me". "I did not Annie", Sara answered. "OMG, bro wasn't joking when he said you all lookalike", Annie said shocked. "Not only that Annie, your darling niece called the poor child Daddy", Geet said joining them. "Mooom, are you going to embarrass me my entire life for that one mistake", Kaira whined. "No, no dear we are just joking. We can see why you said that", Ria said. "Where's Rohan", Sara asked. "I'm here Sara, great to have you two back and great another one ...like bhai", He smiled. They were joined by Maan who was still glaring at Aarav , for calling his little girl mad making the poor boy uncomfortable. "Maan", Geet glared at him to behave properly. "Both of you, why did you not tell us about your return", Maan asked. "Bhai, I think they did not even tell you, they are living just a few blocks away", Rohan said. "When were you going to tell me that", He asked. "Alright Maan, we were going to tell you", Yash said. Maan was satisfied after they gave an explanation but still glaring at poor Aarav. Things got worse when he complimented Geet, "Auntie you are the best cook apart from being really pretty", He said casually getting him another glare for Maan. Geet just sighed knowing its the beginning for a war now, her husband was really possessive about her, well it was mutual. She remembered how she kicked out the irritating drooling staff from her husband's office when she visited there.
"No way, you are not getting married to that boy", Maan said. He couldn't believe his little girl would bring that boy Aarav to be his prospective son in law. "But daddy he is really nice and you know Sara aunty and Yash uncle..so..", She tried. "You are just a child...I know Yash and Sara they are my best friends but ...that boy...he called you mad remember", Maan put in a childish reason. "Maan, now you are being unreasonable, the children love each other and I don't see anything wrong with it", Geet supported her daughter. The rest of the family also conceded. Maan looked at the sad face of his daughter,"Its okay daddy, if you would not like it, I would say No to Aarav". Maan hated this the most seeing his little girl sad and this time because of him. He sighed, "Alright, I agree with your choice". Kaira grinned, "Thank you daddy". Maan smiled seeing his child happy. They decided for their engagement and well as expected half of the guests were shocked and half fainted looking at the three people of the same face. The engagement although was carried out nicely, but Maan would glare Aarav when he would find her staring at his daughter. Geet whispered, "She is going to be his wife now, stop glaring". "Whatever,even she is married she will be my little girl forever", He shrugged. "Mom, I think uncle still hates me", Aarav whispered to his mom who smiled, "Don't worry son, I know him since I was a child, he will come along". "You have to work your way, son with him he is a nice person", Yash said. Aarav sighed knowing this won't be easy but happy that he agreed to their marriage as he knew how much Kaira loved her father.
Kaira was impatiently tapping her foot waiting for her fiance . Kaira had the temper of her father and now she was losing it .Aarav approached her , "Sorry please don't be angry I was stuck ", said Aarav . Now they were going to be married .He was still trying to impress his would be father in law. The overprotective dad he was he did not let his little girl out of his sight even for a bit and Kaira loved her daddy the most . "Well you are always late , I wonder why I'm even marrying you , daddy is right I should drop the idea. "Aarav knew he was in trouble ,"But Geet auntie approved of me , and its my last time ",He said. "Well your dad and mine look alike and you look exactly like my dad looked in his youth so why would she not , but I know my daddy must have looked better, but I have to marry you , so give me a good reason that I should forgive you for your lateness ," She said. Aarav sighed knowing for Kaira he will be forever compared with her daddy. "Well I love you and you love me right ", He smiled."Hmm ... okay but only this time I forgive you now where are my chocolates ", She asked putting her hand out for the box he bought. He gave her a box full of her favorite chocolates he knew worked when she was upset or angry . He still remembered how they met , he was surprised to see her dad , and both of them were more shocked to know that both their dads are friends .He remembered how hard it was to please Maan , but his efforts paid off .
"I can't believe my little girl is getting married to that boy , how I wish I could keep her with me ,"Maan sighed thinking aloud. "I hope you don't kidnap that poor boy before he marries your daughter ", Geet laughed hearing her husband . "I only agreed because you pestered me ", He pouted. "You can not keep your daughter with you all your life and shes not going to some unknown person's house , you have known Sara all your life and Aarav is her son and Yash helped us remember and after that hes also successfully made a name in the business field so why are you lamenting for like you are the first to marry your daughter .I don't see there is anything to worry about ,your daughter will be getting the same luxurious life there too and most importantly Aarav loves her ", Geet said not getting the reason for his worry. "Yes but still ...I will be lonely without her ", Maan said putting his head on his wife's lap. "Yes I can understand but this is how it works ", She smiled. "Daddy",They heard the loud cheerful voice of their daughter who came up to hug her dad ."Hello my little angel had a nice outing ", Maan asked caressing his daughter's head . "Yes daddy , you are happy with this marriage right ". Geet gestured Maan to nod in affirmative and he did ", Yes dear I am ". Kaira hugged her father dearly and Maan knew it is time that he will have to let his only child go for her happiness.
Finally the awaited day came and Maan was more emotional. Rohan and Annie tried to assure him, but he was really sad as his little girl will be leaving today. Samay, who came back after completing his studies smiled at his Bade Papa and tried to lighten up his mood. Isha, Ria and Geet were making Kaira ready who too had tears in her eyes watching her daddy cry. "Kaira, stop crying dear, and remember now you have a family to love and protect, so be happy and be strong", Geet said caressing her daughter's head. Maan enterd with others to see his little girl dressed up in a beautiful lehnga they bought for her.
He smiled and went up to his daughter, "My little angel is looking really good". "Daddy, I don't want to go leaving you", She said hugging her daddy. Maan smiled but Geet glared him. Maan half heatedly tried to explain to his daughter. After a lot of cajoling Kaira and her dear daddy finally went down where the guests and the bridegroom was waiting.
Aarav smiled looking at his wife who was still pouting but happy too.
Maan and Geet married their daughter off with proper rituals . They were happy that finally their life is free of miseries they once had .. Yash and Sara looked on their son getting happily married .As soon as the ceremonies were over Aarav took his bride up in his arms and zoomed away leaving everyone shocked . "You moron, you did not even let me bid proper goodbye to my daddy", Kaira said to her husband who was driving. "Well, you can always visit your daddy but I have other plans for you at least for today my dear wife, so can I not ask for a little time from you", He grinned. "Hmm...but you have to apologize to daddy and do 100 sit ups ", Kaira said after a while still pouting. "As you wish ", He said zooming off.
""Hey where do you think you are taking my daughter ", he called angrily, but the rest only laughed seeing the newly wedded couple . Geet laughed,"Your daughter is his wife now , he has all the rights ". He turned to Yash ", Look what your son did , he did not even let me bid a proper goodbye to my little girl ", he huffed . Yash only laughed looking at Sara to which she smiled ,"Don't look at me ask your best friend she was the one who taught all these tricks to him ". "Like you don't teach him anything how he is my son when he does all the mischiefs , he has learned everything from you ", she countered . "Okay okay now leave it you two and Maan your daughter will be living only few blocks away you can meet her anyway stop being so possessive ,"Geet laughed seeing her husband still cursing their son in law . Every memory was captured to be framed for the future .
After every darkness there is light , the darkness which once loomed was over and now all there was left was beautiful new memories to a bright future .
