Asad opened the puja drawers of Zoya and took out a dhaaga and looked at it. He looked at Zoya's Ganpati idol and recalled an incident which happened some months back:
"Come on Zoya...you think this small thread will save you from obstacles and danger?? Really??" Asad asked looking at Zoya's dhaaga as she came home from the temple.
"You don't know the power of this...my Ganpati Bappa is called Vighn Haran...he will save me from any obstacles or danger...moreover since he is my father, he will have to save me always nah??"
"When you have Asad Ahmed Khan as your hubby, who else do you need to save you?? Be it the God you follow or I follow, till I am there no danger can touch my Zoya!! And I don't believe this thread is powerful than your mighty husband!!" Asad said hugging Zoya sideways, while she smiled.
"Okay then..." Zoya smiled and said, "If you feel that way, I will give in to your belief..." Zoya removed it from her hand and showed the thread to him, "Keep in mind, I am trusting you and leaving this behind...now if something happens to me, you are solely responsible...don't complain Gods...okay??"
"Waada Jaanam!!" Asad said while Zoya put her dhaaga inside the puja drawers.
Asad looked at it and said looking at the idol, "I don't know what's wrong with my wife...but I know this much for sure that she is in some danger...and I don't want anything to happen to her too...Zoya believed that her Bappa always saves her no matter what happens...even today I don't know what magic will this thread do...but Zoya once removed this giving into my belief..."
Asad knelt down near the idol and said, "Today I will give into her belief...if not for me, atleast save Zoya for the trust she has in you!! She considers you her father right...help me in saving my wife by saving your daughter!!"
Asad closed his eyes and prayed, while Zoya's face was all that his mind was filled with.
"Ghalin lotangan vandin charan
Dolyani pahin rup tujhe
Preme alingan anande pujin
Bhave ovaleen mhane nama..."
Asad walked up to Zoya's room and saw her sleeping in the couch. Asad walked towards her without making noise and knelt down in front of her. Zoya's hand was lying freely out of the couch.
"Twameva mata, pita Twameva
Twameva bandhuscha sakha twameva.
Twameva vidya, dravinum twameva
Twameva sarvam mama deva deva..."
Asad took the dhaga and took it to her hand and as he attempted to tie it, Zoya opened her eyes abruptly and clutched Asad's neck in anger.
"How dare you...Asad Ahmed Khan!!!"
Asad was shocked to look at Zoya who was staring at him with glaring bloodshot eyes and a growling inhuman sound, clutching his neck tighter.
