Part 6:"Accepting The Irreversible"

The renewed rays of the early sun hit his face waking him up. He sleepily rubbed his eyes and glanced sideways. She slept like an angel. After a nice long staring session he dragged himself out of bed to get ready for the day. The day felt new, his spirit renewed with energy. He dint wear the burden of hiding anything from her now. Everything seemed sorted.

As he looked at himself in the mirror, he sighed of course his disease was the new problem. It would be a long day, he had to meet his lawyer. Quickly buttoning his shirt he moved towards the door. As soon as he opened the door, in his arms came his half asleep wife."Anika.!"

She threw her eyes open at the sudden commotion."Shivaay..!" She looked around, trying to register where she was.

"Main kahan hoon..? she asked in a sleepy voice.

"Bathroom mein!"

"Kya?" she shrieked and realised she was in his arms at once she distance herself looking around. Shivaay hid his smile.

"Wo..mujhe nahi pata main yahan kaise...main toh picture dehkne jaa rahi thii..nahi wo toh..!"she spoke up terribly confused.

Shivaay slowly takes the mug of water in hand and splashes water on her face."Good morning " he says keeping the empty mug aside.

"Aaahh...Aapka naa upar ka mala..poora kiskhaa hua hai...thodi marmat karwa lijiye...koi aise good morning kehta hai!"

He smirks turning the other way, then walks past her out, as he passes her he bends to her ear,"Paani suits you Pannika!" and leaves.

She stood their rooted to the spot, finally he was back to being the Maha-khadoos tadibaaz Billa..!How she had missed his teasing. She blushes and gets ready for the day.

As she stood in front of the mirror applying sindoor he entered talking on the phone and saw her.Their eyes met, as she applied the sindoor. Their was a knock and Om entered.

Shivaay-"Good morning Om!"

Om-"Good morning Shivaay, all god...you took your medicines last night naa..!"

Shivaay nods, thinking something.

O-"Acha...tum dono neeche aa jaao...Rudra ko koi new break karni hai...sabko bullaya hai..!" he chuckeld.

Shivaay smiles.

As Om leaves Shivaay sees her and turns to leave.

"Shivaay ek minute mujhe aapse baat karni hai!" she exclaimed seriously.

Shivaay turned to her with a questioning face.

Anika-"Dehkiye plz gussa mat kijiye gaa...lekin...aapko nahi lagta ki...aapko apni family se sach nahi chupaana chaaiye.!"

Shivaay makes an irritated face-"Like I said...mujhe jo jab bataana hai...kya nahi bataana hai..main khud decide karoonga.!"

Anika-"Aur agar unko iske baare mein kahin bahar se pata lagega toh...unko bahut acha lagega naa?" she said looking at him for an awnser.

Shivaay-"Look Anika...I don't want to be rude...lekin main unhe ye nahi bata saktaa...I cant give them any pain...so please don't tell me what to do!"

Anika-"Pain iss baat ka hga ki aapne kuch nahi bataya Shivaay...!Jab kisi apne se hum sach chupaatein hai naa...tab unhe dard hta hai...aur family toh dukh sukh baraabar se baat ti hai...toh koi ek sab dukh kyun le...!"

Shivaay looks at her."I don't mind maine ye apne tak rakh sakta hoon..!"

Anika-"Shayad isiliye aaj zindagi aapko iss mod pe laayi hai...aapke iss dil ne..."she says pointing her index finger on the lapel of his coat..."sab apne pe liya...har dukh har dard..! Shivaay agar hum sab akele handle kar sakte naa toh baghwan hum mein family nahi deta..!" she said her eys turning moist at his pain which she felt.

Shivaay-"Lekin main unhe meri wajah se sad nahi dehk sakta!" he says his voice slurred with emotion.

Anika-"Aur main aapko yun nahi dehk sakti!

He sees her overwhelmed yet keeping that composure.She was too good a person to be in his life after what he had done.

Anika continued-"Aapke dil pe ye jo bhoj hain naa...wo tabhi halka hoga jab aap isse baatenge...sach chupaane se wo badal nahi jaata...chot chupaane se wo sudhar nahi jaati...ghaav aur batar ho jaata hai..! Aur apne bhaiyon ke liye..apne iss parivaar ke liye...please apne ghaav ko badne mat dijiye...!" Tears rolled down her cheeks, and she left the room.

Shivaay sighed.

A few minutes later in the hall :

Everyone had assembled in the hall except Shivaay.Om looked at Anika something in her manner dint seem right.

Rudra-"Ye lo bhaiya aa gaye..!"

Shivaay seeing everyone and the hall decorated with balloons and huge speakers place aside."Rudra..whts special..!"

Rudra grinning-"Bhaiya jo news maine abhi aap sabko dunga..naa wo ..aap log believe nahi karenge.

Pinky-"Kab se yeh hi rate jaa raha hai ab bata bhi what is the suspenses..

Rudra stands in the centre in style-"Well..baat yeh hai ki maine finals mein rocking performance diye hai passed with 90%..!"

Everyone looked in awe.

Om-"Are you sure Rudra tumne apna result dekha kisi aur kaa nahi..! Tere BBA mein yeh percentage hain..!"

Rudra-"Are mine subha se 49times check kiya hai...aap half century kar dijiye.

Shivaay-"Wow...thats great news..!" Hugs him.

All happy faces hug him.

Om-"Kaise lekin...I dont know why lekin its hard to digest..!"

Saumya-"Bhaiya..Rudra sahi keh raha hai..!

Rudra-"Arey Sumo ne hi mujhe studies mein help kiya..thaa..toh ye toh hona hi thaa..aapko pata hai yeh naa chupi rustom padaku hain.!"

Om smiles.-"Acha..! Saumya tere kitne aaye..!??"

Rudra-"Arey haan mere results ke excitement mein maine toh poocha hi nahi.."

Saumya looks a little uncomfortable..-"Wo..95%..!"

All looked gaping at Saumya.

Rudra in shock.

All congratulate her.

Rudra gets a cake..."ye thaa toh mere results ke celebration ke liye ab tum hi kaaton isse.

Saumya-"No..you were the one who worked harder..so tum kaato..!"

Pinky-"Oh my mata..dono kaatlo milke...!"

They cut the cake.

Shivaay was very happy seeing everyone happy. Even Bade pa Badi maa were talking away as proud parents.Om's happiness knew no bounds he was so proud of Saumya and Rudra. Prinku also like the proud sister was feeding cake to Rudra.His eyes then fell on Anika who stood beside daadi. Both the ladies were busy observing the rest with big smiles.

Her words echoed in his head.Should he share the truth with his family..before they knew from some other source, and it broke their hearts that it wasn't Shivaay who broke the news to them. She was right..the truth had to come out one day.

Shivaay gulped. "Mujhe kuch kehna hai..!"

All looked up at his serious face. Anika sighed at the anticipation of what was ti come.It would hurt a little but the pain would be for the good.With much difficulty he broke the truth in as less words as possible. Om immediately came and held his back rubbing it. His eyes saying that he would always be there for him.Tears trickled down her eyes she wiped them before anyone could see. It always happened,when he was in pain her heart cried.

"Mere yaara tere gham agar paayenge

Humein teri hai kasam, hum sanwar jaayenge

Saare aansoon toh ho tere

Aur aankhein ho humaari

Tere dard humein, jo mile pyaar mein

Hum khushi se yun bhar jaayenge

Hum sanwar jaayenge."

Beautiful! Finally RuMya pass ho gaye! And Anika, loved her. She is the one who will teach him to share his pain
And I love how Shivaay, bcoz she said took the steps & share his pain!
