One thing I would like to mention is that when heart is involved, when intense feelings are involved, one has no control against their actions. That's exactly what happened in this case. Arnav never wanted to fall for Khushi, he never wanted anything between them and when he was deep into the revenge game, he was in denial for his feelings. He thought it as a passing attraction and as a distraction.Originally posted by: playfulkissdoll
I just read this story.
I loved how you took the story...but yaar please clear this confusion. It is really bugging me. Arnav knows NK loves Lavanya then how could he get intimate with her. It really bugging me very bad. And Khushi knows at-least something did happened between Arnav and La before Arnav broke Lavanya's heart. There is no clearance from either La or Arnav. Just La said Arnav tried to make love to her but he did not go forward and insulted her.
Would a person really can go to this extent? What Arnav did is really wrong? I could not accept past it.
But any girl would feel this question arise. He did everything in revenge for his brother but at the same time he knew it she is his brother's love and the girl's sister who he was attracted to.
How could even Lavanya forget anything? I know she hates Arnav but reading the last part she said it would not be far when NK will make her fall for him. I really can't believe. Girl he just stood mute as sector while his brother played revenge game with you.
How could Khushi can forget this just because in his drunken state he said he loves her.
What is NK made off? Letting Arnav revenge Lavanya...standing in side seeing Arnav making mockery of Lavanya. Whatever be the reason his insult and ego but no man would like to see any other man touch his woman if he truly loves her. And he says he loves her. God I'm really confused how come he even could decribe his emotion as Love...even his so call obsession does not define what he let Arnav do. Because more than lover a obsessive person is more dangerous when coming to anything they think as theirs.
The only character I really liked here is Shashi.
Sorry if this offended. But the doubt in mind is not letting me to enjoy the story.
Moreover, Arnav and Lavanya have never been intimate. That was the first attempt at romance and he rejected her, just as he thought, she rejected his brother. He had heard only his brother's side of story and jumped to the assumption that she did something which is completely wrong and deserves a punishment. When people are lost in emotions, they do things which they would never do normally. Six different types of evils are mentioned in sacred texts which are said to blind you and cloud your intelligence. Moh or attachment is one of them. Arnav was attached to his brother and couldn't see him sad. We feel like wrecking havoc on the lives of those who caused pain to family and if that family member is also a good friend and very close to you, it just hurts where it hurts the most, at your conscience, or being unable to keep them happy.
Khushi didn't forget anything. She remembers everything. So did Lavanya. They both understand the complexity of human minds. Khushi agreed to marry Arnav out of her immense love for her sister. When someone is so deeply in love, they would be ready to die or kill for them. If Khushi was ready to die for her sister, Arnav was ready to kill for his brother. Both, of course, had deeper reasons which stretch into past. What I had thought in mind was that, Shashi asks Khushi to never treat Lavanya as someone from outside and always fulfill her wishes when he first brought in Lavanya and I thought that Arnav's mother took a dying promise from Arnav to keep NK always happy. Though I never mentioned it anywhere, it was a part of the characterization.
I was trying to show two contrasts of what love makes you do through Arnav and Khushi. They were attracted to each other and when Khushi was pushed into pain due to Arnav, her emotions grew deeper. Seeing her in pain made him realize that he cannot deny those emotions which were growing stronger every second.
Lavanya forgave NK because sometimes it easy to forgive and forget than holding a grudge. And sometimes all we want is a life which was easier than we have. She accepted the marriage for her father and she cannot hurt him by showing the reality of it, so she tries to make the best of it. They say there is a fine line between love and hate. When logic is removed from equation, it becomes love and when there is logic, it becomes hatred. So NK was standing on that thin line. Being used to getting everything he wanted, he could not bear her rejection. He was obsessed with her but the feeling of rejection proved to be much harsher than his obsession, when Arnav mentioned taking revenge. In a moment of weakness, like a human, he agreed. Obsession and possessiveness are a bit different. Obsession is when you want them at any cost and possessiveness is when you want them only to be yours at any cost. Although broadly they are the same, intricately they are different and NK knows that Arnav has no feelings for Lavanya. There are people who killed for rejecting them, people who raped, and I think this is just the reality. It is quite common to see a boy being rejected and he takes revenge for that, only this time his brother took that. I think it takes immense self-control to not sway in your path when you are at your vulnerable best and NK just didn't have that. He swayed, he suffered and he showed guilt. If NK was possessive, he would claimed her at her Suhaag Raat and the reason why Lavanya says that she might end up falling for him is that what she thought about him and what he is, is actually different. He exceeds her expectations by not forcing her and showing concern for her.
Many people think they are in love, but many don't know the true meaning of love. For me the true meaning of love is when you care more about them than you and NK didn't know that. he thought having romantic feelings for someone, being mad about someone is love but only after seeing Arnav's love for Khushi he realizes that it was not love. It was obsession. I intended to include that part in the epilogue.
I hope I answered your queries and if you have more, please feel free to ask. It is always a pleasure to discuss about your story in detail. :D
