Finally watched Dangal ...

Ermmm ... I found it bit slow and boring at places . Plus the coach angle was so unnecessary . Overdramatization left a sore taste , this is where Neerja scores perfectly .When you make Biopics be true to the Story . This Heroism of showing Mahavir having upper hand made me put off .

What really got me excited was the Wrestling matches and their Picturization . WOW . I had butterflies in my stomach ,full on excitement and was at the edge of my seat .
The Semi final Match was DAMN Good .

Cast acted well ,I found Aamir over doing in versus Coach bits .. it Fatima was Star ,undoubtedly .

The semifinal match and Geeta-Mahavir match was Higlight for me .

Good review Asmi.. Since I have not watched the movie yet..can't say about it..you guys are so good with putting your thoughts in words..

Asmi thoda dramatic banana necessary that I guess. Nahi toh boring ho jata.. like Dhoni biopic. Neerja already had thrill and dramatic moments in the real story itself. Isliye thodi creative liberty was necessary in Dangal.

Even i felt Asmi k agar coach n mahavir ko saath kaam karte dikhate toh it wud hv given some tym for Daya's POV and Babita's fights

Salim died in POW .

Rav I agree about creative liberty ...but I felt showing Coach in such negative light infact showing him as a plain loooser was not needed . They could have have shown simple clash of old vs new wrestling ideas and Geeta being comfortable with old techniques and hence adopting it would have give a fab base for drama too . I just felt they could have shown a human side of coach too just like in Neerja terrorist ka was shown .
Plus making coach a scapegoat to make Mahavir a hero is something I dint liked .
