She called the professor ,but he didn't listened and was going ,she called him again ,this time he turned and ishitas mouth got opened in perfect "O" due to shock, she can just manage to say " Raman aap ".
Raman was also shocked to see her and he too asked " ishita you here ".
I- ( slowly )-yeah this is my college but how come you are here .
R- I m professor here .
I- that I can see but you didn't told me this yesterday .
R- you also didn't told me that you study in this college .
I- aapne poocha hi nahi .
R- I didn't find it important.
I- achcha
R- you tell why you were calling me .
I- abbb wo ramannn ,actually wohh no nothing I ...
R- what are you saying ishita achche se bolo .
Ishita glared at her friends ,they were provoking her to go on ,she was looking at her friends when he asked ishita again " ishita bolo I m getting late for class ".
I- to aap jaaiye na ,I will talk to you afterwards .
R- sure ,its not important.
I- actually Raman I missed a movie plan with my friends ,because of tomm...and ..
R- (asked raising his eyebrows)- and...
I- ( scratching her head )- and they have given me punishment.
R- and how I m connected with your punishment.
I- woh Raman aap to jaante ho aaj kal ki ladkiyon KO ,they give stupid dares .
R( crossing his arms around his chest )- and what's your dare.
I- wo Raman actually they saw you and they liked you a lot .
R- (raising his eyebrows )- oh I see and .
I- one of my friend shreya want your number ,so I m here...
R- ( smiling )- so now you know its me ,go and give my number to you .
Ishita glared him and spoke " why should I give my fiancee number to her aur aapko bahut doosri ladkiyon se baat karne ka shauk hai ."
R- arey why are you being angry to me ,Maine kya kiya ,you only want your new professors number for your friend.
I- I never know its you .
R( faking anger)- so you girls do all this in college ,do your parents know this .
I( scaring a little )- no actually aap lagte ho to lag gaye hoge achche that's why .
R- oh I see ,then give my number to her .
I- noways .
R- then what will you do .socho socho ,I m going .
Saying so he started walking ,when ishita ran to him and stopped " Raman stop ,rukiye na ,let think something ."
Ishita tapped her forehead with her finger as if trying to think something , then she told " aa gaya idea,".
R- kya .
I- you give your homes number , mummyji will pick her call and will take her class .
R- really .
I- haan ye theek rahega .
R- OK write home number and let me go. I m actually getting late for my class .
Saying so Raman started walking when ishita stopped him again and asked " raman where are you staying ."
R- I m looking for a appt for rent but hadn't got any ,now I m staying in a hotel from yesterday .
I- ohh .
R- waise where is your hostel .
I- my hostel is in campus itself .
R- ohh ,ishita if you don't have any plan for today ,can we meet for sometimes .
I- but ..
R- we actually don't know anything about each other ,now if we got a chance why can't spend sometime together and know about each others choice .
I- okk ,I will call you,now I should leave my friends are keeping an eye on me .
R- and I m also getting late .chalo bye ,will wait for your call .
Both started walking in different directions,then Raman turned and spoke teasing her " if you want you can give my number to your friend ,I don't mind having a girlfriend beside a fiancee ".
I- raman I m actually not that ishita which you saw yesterday ,ek baar kisi aur se baat karke dekho batati hoon ,aapko bhi aur use bhi .
Raman smiled listening to her and left while ishita started thinking of what to say to her friends as they will definitely ask them ,what she was talking so long with this new professor. Soon she reached to her friends ,all surrounded her and started asking her about their conversation.
Ishita told them that the new professor is very khaddus and he was not giving his number instead he was scolding her ,she convinced him at lot then only he gave his house number not mobile number .
S- chal chal abhi call kartein hain.
I- are you mad ,he is here then why will you call at his home ,waise bhi we are getting late for class .
Before anybody can say anything she started walking to their classroom .All followed her soon their lecture started, the lecturer started teaching them but ishita was lost in her own world recalling her recent conversation with Raman ,till yesterday she hadn't met him and today she was showing her right on him ,how much her life changed in a day .yesterday she only went to her house to meet her parents but returned after being engaged to Raman .
About a month back their father met in a marriage of a common business client and from there itself their father had started talking about ishra marriage ,both the families along with ishra has chosed each other through their pics but yesterday when ishita went to her house she came to know that the boy and his family is coming to see her .
Mrs iyer dressed ishita in a beautiful mehroon kanjivaram Saree with golden and green border , she also wore ishita some gold jeweleries as per south Indian rituals ,tied her hairs in beautiful bun . Soon bhallas arrived ,everybody in bhallas like ishita very much and same happens with Raman ,Iyers too liked Raman a lot ,soon both the families called panditji to choose a auspicious day for ishra engagement but to their disappointment ,panditji told that after today next auspicious day is after two months .None of the parents wanted to postponed the engagement so they talked and decided to do engagement today itself while their marriage was fixed after three months .
Ishita was lost in her thoughts when someone shook ishita to inform that the lecture was over and next lecture is of new lecturer ie Raman bhalla .Ishita got happy as well as nervous to know it ,her heart was beating fast listening to it ,she was thinking how will she face her fiancee like a lecturer in the class and how he will react to see his fiancee in his classroom .She tightened her palm in tight fist ,to control her excitement and nervousness, while all the girls were looking towards the door with acquisitiveness.
