After 5 years

Meet.. no more games. I will count till 10. If you will not reach by that time no TV, no icecreams, no chocolates for 10 days... geet said who looked very angry at present.

1..2..3... geet counted looking under the bed and behind curtains.

bhoo... jumped Meet from back to scare Geet. Geet frowned first then smiled at her and bend to Meet's height and gave a kiss on her forehead.

Now go and do your homework. geet said in a strict tone.

Meet made a face and went towards her study table but instead of sitting on the chair she ran out of the room making Geet angry.

Meet.. geet yelled.

Meet giggled and ran towards Maan's study room where Maan was busy with some papers. she ran and grabbed Maan's file threw it away.

geet saw this and was going to shout at Meet when Maan eyed her not too. geet sighed and then chuckled. It was a usual thing nowadays. the same MSK who need NO DISTURBANCE during work was now so used to work with Meet around.

Papa I dont want to study.. Park chalo na.. Meet said making a puppy face. her expression's always reminded him his mother Savita. Maan smiled and kissed Meet pulling her cheeks.

Maan came and side hugged geet who stood looking at Meet's retreating figure.

Because I know how to tackle her. you know I had experience of almost 2 years in taking care of a small kid before Meet was born. Maan said in a serious tone which made geet confused and then it clicked he was actually teasing her calling her a kid. she pushed him and was going to leave when Maan pulled her back and gave a kiss. geet tried to stop Maan. she was afraid what if Meet sees them. Maan didnt leave. At last both forgot where they were standing. After a long time Maan left geet who was panting.

geet smiled. they talked on some random topics. For almost a 1 hour long talk both bid bye.

geet checked if Meet was doing her homework properly and left to inform Maan and others about their plan for picnic.

After few days..

Maan and Arun sat near the lake discussing something. Meet sat munching chips near Ayesha looking at 2 year old Aryan whom Ayesha was feeding food. Meera and Vicky were standing little far with Meera blushing. Soon Meera's blush turned into anger. and there started their regular fights. geet chuckled looking at them. geet was watching all from her window. She felt Maan's stare. She looked at Maan who asked her to come down with eyes. geet nodded and was going to go down when a paper touched her face. It was Rano's last letter to her. her eyes became moist but had a smile. she read again lthe letter looking towards her family from the window.

Maan came upstairs not finding geet. he saw geet looking at Rano's photo. his meeting with Rano before their marriage came into his mind. he felt guilty even to making a deal with Rano about her daughter. geet turned and looked at Maan whose eyes told his misery.

Maan geet called him hugging him.

Maan embraced her and asked...

geet you never felt bad that I married you for a deal?

geet looked at Maan and smiled.
Maan you know in arranged marriage people dont marry just based on Love. they decide on basis of character, background, their financial status. Love comes after marriage. Dont you think they too had a deal. but with time it do turn into love. doesnt it? what you will call their marriage? Maan marriage is just a point where two people's life become one. how, when and where they meet doesnt matter. the only thing that matter is if the love grow with time or not between them. And for our marriage and this deal..geet paused. It was..is and will be a deal of love for me. Maan hugged geet. I love you geet.

geet looked back at the letter.

I dont wish your life to be a cake walk...I want your life to be mixture of happiness and sorrow but with lot of happiness...bless you to have a husband who cherish you, children who love you like my daughter loved me
