After pecking his forehead she realised what she did and thought to herself-what u r doing ishu,he is just ur pateint.nothing else,stick to ur profession.u have to treat him aur kuch nahi karna .she said to herself and try to withdraw her hand from his hold but couldn't as every time she tried to do it he tighten his hold on her hand.
Ishita sat again on the chair near him and start looking at his sleeping figure.he was sleeping peacefully holding her hand.she smiles and said- don't know why,but I cant stop thinking about u.naa main tumhe jaanti hoon naa koi pehchaan still my heart skip a beat when I saw that nightmare .tumhe kho dene ka darr iss kadar ho gaya hai that I can't sleep peacefully. Kya hai aisa tum mein.she said caressing his hair .
After sometime ,vandu came to call her for lunch.
Ishita- I will have my food here only .I have to be with him.
Vandu- kyun ishu,tera pati hai kya.Jo tujhe har pal uske saath rehna hai.she said smiling.
Ishita- no actually he is holding my hand.chod hi nahi rahen.
Vandu look at her hand and said- I don't think so,infact u r the one who is holding his hand.just look at his hand.
Ishita look at his hand and saw he was sleeping peacefully leaving her hand while her hand was on his.
Ishita slowly withdraw her hand and said- let's go and have food together.saying so she start going out but turning to see him every now and then.
Vandu- relax ishu,he is sleeping.kahin bhagega nahi.just come and have food.saying so she drag ishita to cafeteria.
Ishita,vandu and mihika were sitting together having food while ishita's mind was still with him,thinking about him.
Mihika- yaar mera pateint ekdum pagal hai.he thinks myself as his girlfriend. Kabhi kabhi ekdum violent ho jaata hai toh kabhi ekdum calm.how's ur vandu.
Vandu- arey she is mad but poor woman was tortured badly.uske pati aur saas ne bahut bura kiya hai uske saath.what about u ishu.she asked ishita but ishita didn't answer as she was not listening to them.
Vandu shaked ishita and said- hey ishu ,where r u lost.kahin apne pateint ki yaad mein toh khoyi nahi ho.she said smiling breaking ishita's trance.
Ishita- I think I should go to him.I am not feeling good .
Mihika- relax ishu,he is just a pateint .
Vandu- exactly and he is sleeping yaar.kyun uss pagal ke baare mein itna soch rahi,ishita didn't let him complete and said- he is not mad,just lost his mental balance and very soon he will be fine,got it.
Mihika and vandu became scared seeing ishita like this.
Mihika- relax ishu,sorry I don't mean to hurt u.but u r getting too personal with him.sirf pateint hai woh tera.
Ishita sat down and said holding her head- sorry guys,I overreacted.but pata nahi kyun I am petrified thinking something might happen to him.meri ek galti se uski jaan jaa sakti thi.I start shivering everything I remember that moment. Jaise jaa hi nahi raha mere dimaag se.
Vandu- relax ishu.it's just ur guilt,very soon it will be out and yes very soon he will be fine.ab tere jaise caring doctor hogi toh koi bhi banda kab tak bimar rahega.
Ishita smiled and soon start enjoying their meal when they heard fire alarm.
Mihika- fire alarm.kahin aag lag gayi.but where.kahin hostel mein toh nahi,vandu let's go and check.
Vandu- yes ,ishu let's go and check.
Ishita- no u guys go.let me go and check him.saying so she ran towards his room .
Lift were closed due to fire so she ran towards his room by stairs.his room was on fourth floor.she was going up and was cursing herself for leaving him alone.she stopped seeing some compounders and asked- kis floor mein aag lagi hai.
Compounder- fourth floor.don't go up doc,its dangerous.
Ishita turned pale hearing this and said- let me go.my pateint is there.
Compounder- we r rescuing every pateint.kuch hi bache hai.
Ishita- do u rescued the pateint in 402.
Compounder- I don't remember, may be or may not be.
Ishita- then let me go.saying so she ran up.she reached the floor only to see fire was spreading all over the floor.the fire was coming towards his room .she ran to his room only to see him still sleeping while fire was spreading faster about to engulf her and him.
Ishita- shit I have to do things much faster.she shouted for help.two compounders come running to her.she told them to shift him on the wheel chair.they did so and she rush towards the exit before the fire reach them.she ran holding the wheel chair and in rush she fell holding his hand.both of them fell off the stairs, ishita hugged him tight guarding his head to prevent any injury but in the process she got injured.both rolled down towards the end.
Ishita was under him holding him tight.compounders ran to them to help them.they picked him and placed him on the stretcher, now his eyes were open and he was looking at ishita.she got up in a jiffy and said- take him to emergency ASAP.
Compounder- but doc u r also injured .
Ishita- I will take care of myself.take careto emergency and tell docs to attend him.I am coming.she said holding her head trying to stop the blood oozing out of her forehead.
Compounders nodded and we're taking him while his eyes on her.their fingers were entwined in each other.she was going opposite side when she felt a tug on her hand .she turn to him and look at him.his hold was firm on her hand and he was pleading her through her eyes to be with him.
Ishita- u go ,I am just coming.
He nodded a little in no holding her hand more tightly.
Ishita start walking with him and soon they reached to the emergency.
Mihika- shit ishu,u r so injured.come let me bandage ur wound.
Ishita- I am fine,check him.
Vandu- I am checking him.let mihika bandage ur wound.
Ishita sat down to and mihika start bandaging her.
Mihika- yaar ,ur cuts r too deep.kya kar rahi thi.
Ishita- fell off the stairs.u bandage it fast.
Mihika- tell me naa,kya hua.
Ishita narrated everything.
Mihika - u r unbelievable, khud bachane chali gayi.hum yahan khud ko aur apna samaan bacha rahe the and u were worried for him.kahin pyaar toh nahi ho gaya hai tujhe.
Ishita- kuch bhi.she said smiling and look at him ,who was already looking at her.they look at each other.
Vandu- lagta hai aag dono taraf lagi hai.inki bhi nazarein nahi hatt rahi.she said smiling.
Ishita looked away and said- nothing like this.
Soon mihika bandaged her wound and said- now I am giving u pain killer.u go and sleep in my room till this choas settle down.
Ishita- no I am fine.I will be here only.
Mihika- but ishu.
Ishita- please miku.
Mihika- OK as u say.u stay here with him ,till then we will attend patients.will call u if it's needed.till then u rest here.
Ishita nodded and both left from there leaving ishita alone with him.
Ishita walked to him slowly as she was having trouble in walking.she sat beside him and held his hand.
Ishita- r u OK.
He blinked his eyes saying yes.
Ishita- dard ho raha hai.
He nodded his head a little in no.
Ishita smiled and softly pecked back of his palm.he smiled a little.
Ishita- aap rest karo,abhi jaldi hi dusre room mein aapko shift kiya jayega.
He tilted his neck a little like calling her closer.she bend to him.he touched her wound on her forehead.
Ishita- thik hai,dard nahi ho raha.aap so jao.she said yawning.
He moved a little making space for her.
Ishita- what.
He signalled with his eyes to lay down.
Ishita- main let jaun ??yahan??
He closed his eyes confirming .
Ishita- no no I am OK.I am doctor here and this bed is for pateint.saying so she sat there holding his hand .soon she start falling due to sleep.he was looking at her.he tighten his hold on her hand making her awake.
Ishita wake up and said- what happened. R u OK.
He signalled towards the vacant place like insisting her to sleep.ishita was so much tired that without thinking for a second,she adjusted in the little place beside him.he too closed his eyes.
After two hours ,mihika and vandu came inside the room to tell ishita that his room is arranged ,shift him to the room.but stopped seeing them sleeping together peacefully. Ishita was sleeping hiding in him while he was sleeping wounding his arms around her.
Mihika and vandu smiled looking at each other.mihika covered them with a quilt and said- lagta hai kuch ho raha hai.
Vandu- haan ho toh raha hai.let's switch off the light so that noone can disturb them.saying so they went out switching off the light.while ishita hide herself more into him and slept again.
