Ishita sat beside him and softly caressed the rashes around his wrist due to rope.he didn't reacted but closed his eyes like liking her touch.
Ishita- dard ho raha hai.I know it's paining but I will sooth ur every pain.u r not just a case for me anymore,u have become my motive.I will treat u and make u OK.she said smiling and start applying ointment on the rashes softly blowing air .
He was just looking at her .
Ishita- u know u wasnt my first choice as I don't want a patient who don't have any chance of improvement as everyone always said that u r nothing just a body with no emotion. But today I saw u smiling and trust me I am gonna keep u smiling forever.khush ho jaiye very soon u will be out of ur bed and then out of this hospital.but for now,u sleep.kal se hume bahut kaam karna hai.saying so she start patting his forehead.soon he slept this time without any injection and that was a good sign.he was responding to her words,her soothing touches.
Ishita took her bag and start walking out of the room.but turn only to see him looking at her with wide open eyes.
She went back to him and said- so u were not sleeping.buddhu bana rahe the mujhe.chalo so jao.it's sleeping time.saying so she sat beside him and start patting his forehead.today she was determined to make him sleep without any injection.it took her almost an hour but finally she made him sleep.
She look at her watch and find its eleven at night.she checked her mobile only to get 43 missed calls from her amma.she was about to call amma back when she saw her appa coming to the room.
Seeing ishita safe and sound he hugged her and said- kanna,why u were not picking ur phone.amma was so worried that she send me to pick u .ghar chalo kanna.
Ishita nodded and went back to her home with appa.amma at first hug ishita tight and then start scolding her for being so careless.
Amma- u don't even think how much scared I was.kitne bure bure khayal aa rahe the mujhe.koi aisa karta hai kanna.
Ishita- sorry amma,I didn't do this intentionally.bas ho gaya.but I have a solution to this problem.
Appa- solution of which problem.
Ishita narrated them everything.her parents were stunned to hear this.
Appa- is he OK kanna.
Ishita- yes but because of my carelessness I was about to loose him appa.my first ever pateint could have died because of me.so now I have thought that I will not leave him even for a second.and for that I am shifting to hospital's hostel for a month.
Amma- r u out of ur mind.ek pateint ke tum ghar chod kar hostel mein rahogi.
Ishita- amma,he is just not a patient. But just a body whose soul I have to find and treat.appa please aap toh samjhiye.only one month,I will treat him and make him and after that I will never ask anything from u.appa please.
Before appa can speak amma said- OK I will give u permission but in return u will have to marry a boy of my choice.
Ishita- I just need this one month and after this I will marry whomever u want.
Amma- OK,but the very next day after this month I will fix ur marriage.r u OK with it.
Ishita nodded and hugged amma.amma too hugged her back.soon everyone went to their room.appa amma slept but ishita's mind was occupied by him and his thoughts.every time she close her eyes ,all she can see was him shaking vigorously. After much effort she finally got some sleep but that broke with a nightmare that he died.she got up in a jiffy only to see it's five in morning.she got up and first thing she did was to call hospital to inquire about him.
Mihika was in duty ,she checked on him and said- he is looking at the door,lagta hai tera wait kar raha hai.aur ishu tu itni subah call karke uske baare mein puch rahi hai.tabiyat toh thik hai naa.
Ishita- haan yaar,just worried about him.after yesterday's incident I am not able to concentrate on anything but him.so I have decided to shift in the hostel for a month.
Mihika- really,aunty maan gayi.
Ishita- yes but on one condition that I have to marry the boy of her choice after this one month.
Mihika- r u nuts,kya woh pateint itna important ho gaya hai that u r ready to risk ur whole life for this one month.aunty ki pasand se shaadi,u know naa how Orthodox she is.
Ishita- I have to marry as per her choice anyway ,so I agreed and yes,don't know why but he has become very important for me.and I want to treat him at any cost.
Mihika- kahin pyaar toh nahi ho gaya usse.
Ishita got startled hearing her words but composed herself and said - kuch bhi.OK bye I am rushing.saying so she hung the call and start completing her daily chores but mihika's words were ringing in her mind and she herself wasn't getting why she is getting attached with him.shrugging off the thought ,she got ready for the hospital packing her bag and was rushing having her breakfast when amma hold her hand and asked- who is Raman Kumar bhalla ,ishu.
Ishita- ohho amma,he is noone,I was just teasing u.getting late, baad mein baat karungi.saying so she rushed.amma was looking at her and said- even if u r serious ishu,u will have to marry boy of my choice after this month.tumhe uss Raman bhalla se dur karne ke liye hi Maine tumhari yeh unreasonable shart maani hai.she said smiling and went inside.she was confident that now ishita can't marry any Punjabi boy but little she knew that destiny can't be changed,they can only change the paths to reach.
Ishita came out of the auto, paid him and went to her cabin.kept her bag their and took all the files related to him and literally ran to his room just to get a glance of him.
Ishita get inside the room and smiled to see him looking at the door.
Ishita- good morning.I know u were waiting for me.sorry I took longer but that's because I want to come very near to u.u must be wondering how,so let me tell u I am shifting to the hostel just to be with u 24*7.so if u want to get rid of me,jaldi se thik ho jaiye.she said sitting beside him.while he was just looking at her.
Ishita- first let me check ur heartbeat.saying so she put the stethoscope on his heart.
Ishita- omg ,itni tez dhadak raha hai.seems u r too happy seeing me.waise bhi I am ur only friend.but I don't know ur name,chalo koi nahi I will keep a nice name for u.but before that I have to take u for some test.so shall I bring ur sawari for the day.she was saying when he blink his eyes.
Ishita got happy and said- wow u r responding,lagta hai tumhe main pasand hoon.u know mujhe bhi tum pasand ho.she said pulling his cheeks.
Ishita- but I don't like ur this long beard,koi nahi we will do something for it.but for now,let's go.saying so she called a compounder with a wheel chair and instructed him to clean the room,change the bedsheet and pillows,before they return.ishita make him sit on the wheel chair and took him for the tests.
Soon his tears started,ishita was just standing near him and holding his hand like giving him strength,when someone called ishita,she was going but stopped feeling tug on her hand.she turn only to see he tightened his hold on her hand,like he don't want her to leave.she came closer to him and said- don't worry I am not going anywhere.coming in a second,leave my hand.she said and he loosened his hold on her hand .ishita was shocked to realise that he is actually responding to him.
She went to talk to her senior doctor but her eyes were constantly on him and him on her.ishita was talking to doc but looking at him.
After talking she start going out of the room only to see his eyebrows getting narrowed like questioning where she is going.she went to him and said- I am coming in sometime.saying so she turn only to feel that he is holding her finger.
She turn to him and was shocked beyond words seeing him actually holding her finger moving his hand a little.she looked at him shockingly and he closed his eyes like confirming that he did that.she smiled fully and said- I am not going anywhere.will be with u only.saying so she caressed his forehead and he closed his eyes.very soon he slept feeling her soothing touches.
Soon his test got over and with the help of the compounders ishita took him back to his room which was now cleaned as per her instruction.
She was sitting beside him as in his deep sleep also he didn't left her hand.ishita was caressing his forehead gently and was looking at him without blinking her eyes and don't know what she thought,she got up a little and softly pecked his forehead.
