You asked a very valid question.. Will Arnav knowing the truth help any way? Will Arnav's regret help anyway? Will Arnav's guilt ease Khushi's guilt? Will Khushi be able to pick his guilt and her own?

Yes this is a redemption FF but it is redemption in a different way-- far too different from Behind that smile and Reason i breathe

There is such a matter of fact manner in which she said "And then I'd die" and in the way Akash accepts that to be true. That speaks so much of the depth of her feelings. More than any grandiose statements.
I loved the analogy you used of the dying sun casting one last sweep of glory. So beautifully said.
