Next day,

All were sitting down in the hall. Anjali was making garland, for devi maiyya. Nani was helping her. Khushi was cutting vegetables.

Dadi came there.

Khushi: Namaste dadiji

Dadi just glared at her. Khushi's smile faded when she saw that angry look on Dadi's face.

Anjali: Dadi sit.

Anjali tried to divert their attention. Dadi obeyed her.

Dadi: Anjali, when is damadji coming?

Listening to that both Anjali and Khushi startled. Nani felt bad. Anjali was missing Shyam a lot. Why did all of them think that he was bad?

Anjali: Dadi, I will go to the temple.

Saying that Anjali walked away.

Khushi(in thought): Di is feeling bad. This is all because of me.

Dadi: Devyani, why doesn't anyone care for Damadji here? Cant you see how much Anjali bitiya is missing him? You people have so much of concern for an outsider but not your own son in law?

"outsider?" Did she call Khushi an outsider? Only Khushi knew how much that word pricked Khushi's heart.

Payal was hearing all this from far. Nk was with Payal. He knew they had to do something to divert Khushi's attention. He went towards Khushi.

Nk: Khushiji..(he called her in a playful mood)

Dadi got angry to hear Nk.

Dadi(gritting her teeth): Jab bade baat kar rahe ho, toh...

Nk got confused. He started speaking in middle.

Nk: "Bath?"(baat) Who is taking bath, and that too here? Bath toh bathroom mein karte hai.(We take bath in bathroom)

Dadi glared at him, and murmured, "Bewakoof"(Fool)

Nk heard that.

Nk: Wow..dadiji what a sweet voice!!

Nk held his heart in a romantic way. Dadi got more angry and left the place. Nani, Payal and Khushi burst out laughing. Nk became confused. All noticed Khushi laughing, and adored her.

Nani(in thought): After chotte left, this is the first time you are laughing.

Payal thanked Nk from eye signal.

Khushi: Nanheji, you are so cute. "Baat" means talk..not taking bath!!!

Nk: Oh, sorry I didn't know.

Mami: Nk bitua, you just shutupwa..dadiji would have eaten you today.

Nk: But Mausiji, how can she eat me? She is vegetarian.

Mami: Hello hi bye byewa, tum toh phool(fool) ke phool hi rahogewa.

Nk: Flower, thankyou Mausiji!!(to Khushi) Khushiji, come lets watch Sultan, I have the movie clip with me.

Khushi smiled happily and agreed. The trio(Nk, Khushi and Payal) went to Nk's room.

Nani: Devi Maiyya, let Khushi bitiya be always happy like this.

Evening,

Anjali opened her laptop and started typing something. She called Arnav for a video chat, so that she can make Khushiji speak with chotte. She knew Khushi was missing him a lot. Arnav came on the video chat.

Anjali: Chotte how are you? And how is your work going on?

Arnav: I am fine di. My work is going good. Will try to wrap it soon.

Anjali: Better do that soon. Someone is missing you a lot.

Arnav(smirked): Where is she?

Anjali(made her throat clear): Looks like my chotte is very impatient to meet his wife.

She started teasing him.

Anjali: Let me call everyone, and then you speak to Khushiji..(whispered) In privacy.

Arnav didn't know that his di could tease him so much.

Anjali got up to call everyone and kept the laptop on the table. Arnav could see the kitchen clearly. There he saw Khushi speaking to Hp. Khushi was speaking about some dish.

Khushi: Hari Prakashji, what is this?

HP: This is Pulav bhabi.

Khushi: Who made it?

HP: Payal bhabi made it.

Just then Nani entered the kitchen.

Khushi(hesitating): Naniji can I eat this?

Nani felt extremely ashamed when Khushi was asking her permission to eat the dish.

Nani: Bitiya, I am extremely sorry for what Sumi did yesterday, you need not ask my permission. You can eat whatever you want. It is your house.

Khushi just nodded her head. This woman was completely different from Dadi. There dadi accused her for everything and here Nani was supporting her for everything.

Arnav felt extremely bad when he saw this. He was very angry on dadi. He gritted his teeth.

Arnav(thinking): Why does Khushi need to ask permission to eat anything?

Anjali(to everyone): Chotte had come for video chat, come everyone.

Khushi, who heard this was feeling very happy. She was the first one to rush. All came to the hall, and chatted with Arnav.

Arnav's eyes were only on Khushi.

Mami: Hello hi bye bye Arnav bitua don't forget to bring my perfumewa.

Arnav chuckled.

Khushi was desperate to talk to him.

Nk: I think we should let Nannav and Khushiji speak alone.

All giggled and went back to their rooms. Khushi and Arnav were silent. Their eyes spoke, their hearts spoke.

Arnav: How are you?

Khushi: I am fine, you?

Arnav: Me too. How is my princess?

Khushi smiled.

Khushi: What do you think?

Arnav: I am worried for her, how does she tolerate her crazy mother?

Khushi's jaw dropped.

Khushi: Haww!! She is absolutely fine. Stop making fun of me.

Arnav stopped giggling.

Khushi: Arnavji, how can you know its she?

Arnav: Obviously, she will be my princess, just like

Khushi: ME??

Arnav: No...Not at all..I cannot handle one more Sanka devi. I want a baby girl just like me.

Khushi: One more laad governess!! No ways.

There was a pause for a while.

Khushi: When are you returning Arnavji?

Arnav: As soon as possible, maybe 3-4 days.

Khushi faked a smile. He understood that she was missing him a lot. Even he was missing her.

Arnav: I am here, Khushi, with you. I will return soon.

He assured her. KHushi nodded her head.

Next morning,

Anjali entered Khushi's room with a thread. Khushiji just extend your arm.

Khushi: Why di?

Anjali(cupping her face): I am going to tie a raksha dhaga for you which will protect you and the baby from all evil eyes.

Khushi smiled and extended her hand.

Anjali tied the raksha dhaga to her wrist.

Khushi: Di had you been to the temple, in this early morning?

Anjali: No, dadi had been

Anjali stopped, and accused herself for saying the truth. Here Khushi became delighted, thinking that Dadi brought a raksha dhaga for her and her baby.

Khushi: dadiji brought this, for me?

Anjali didn't want to disappoint Khushi and she said nodded her head.

Flashback

Dadi had been to the temple and brought one raksha dhaga, for Anjali and her baby and returned to RM.

Dadi called Anjali.

Dadi(to Anjali): Anjali bitiya I had been to temple and I asked the Panditji to pray for you and your baby. He sent this raksha dhaga for you.

Anjali was very happy. Anjali saw the thaal and found only one dhaga.

Anjali: Dadi there is only one here.

Dadi: Yeah I brought it for you.

Anjali: Dadi, Khushiji is also going to be a mother, you should have asked one more.

Dadi frowned.

Dadi: I didn't think there was any necessity to pray for her. Stop thinking too much about that girl. Extend your hand.

Nani, Mami and Anjali could clearly see the partiality what dadi was doing with Khushi and Anjali.

Anjali stopped dadi and went to the temple(inside RM). She took a random thread and prayed to DM. Nani, Mami and Dadi were watching Anjali. Anjali finished her pooja, and brought that thread.

Nani: What did you do bitiya?

Nani asked confused.

Anjali: Nani, this one is for Khushiji.

Nani: But how can you tie some random thread..

Anjali stopped her.

Anjali: Nani, I know this thread was not given by any Pandit, but in this thread, there are my blessings and prayers for Chotte's child. (to Dadi) Dadi, at first let me tie this to Khushiji and then you tie me your raksha dhaga. And yes dadi, next time whenever you pray for my child, pray for my chotte's child also.

Saying that Anjali marched to Khushi's room. Dadi was spell bound. Nani was very happy. What Anjali said was right. Prayers are made throught heart, it doesn't matter if a Pandit does it or a random human.

Flashback ends.

Anjali: Khushiji, come down lets do our exercise.

Same night, after dinner.

Khushi: Arnavji I cant say how happy I am today.

Arnav was happy when he heard her voice on the phone, sounding active and happy.

Arnav: What happened?

Khushi: Ask what didn't happen.

Arnav: Ok what didn't happen?

Khushi: Arnavji, I was just saying like that, ask what happened.

Arnav(gritting his teeth): Khushi, will you mind to say the matter instead of what happened and what didn't.

Khushi: Ok baba, you know dadiji brought a raksha dhaga for me. I was so happy.

Arnav: What?? Dadi brought it?

Khushi: See even you are surprised na? Really dadiji brought it for our baby.

Arnav(thinking): Either it's a lie or something is fishy.

Khushi: What happened?

Arnav: Nothing, you take care.

Just then Aman called Arnav for the meeting.

Arnav: Khushi, I have a meeting, I will talk later. Bye.

Khushi also kept the phone.

Just then dadi entered her room with haldi doodh.

Khushi was astonished to see Dadi.

Dadi: This milk is for you, I was making for Anjali, so I thought that I will make it for you also.

Khushi was damn happy, when dadi brought this milk for her.

Khushi took the milk from dadi's hand.

Khushi: Thank you dadiji.

Dadi didn't speak anything and left the room.

Midnight 2.00 am,

Khushi's stomach was paining like hell. She was crying out of pain. She clutched her stomach and drank a glass of water. Her stomach pain was still there. She felt like puking. She went to the washroom and puked twice. Her pain didn't reduce. She wanted to call someone for help, she needed the doctor.

On the other hand, it was day in Canada. Arnav was feeling very uncomfortable. He felt that something bad was happening. He had no interest in checking the figures. His thoughts were completely on Khushi.

Khushi could not stand properly. She didn't find it good to disturb the rest at 2.00 am atleast. She managed to stand properly. She needed water badly. The jug was empty. She clutched her stomach, and walked towards the kitchen. She held the railing to walk properly. She went near the stairs and her leg slipped, and she fell down. She rolled on the stairs and screamed, "ARNAVJI".

On the other hand, Arnav screamed "Khushi" all of a sudden, scaring Aman. Something wasn't right with Khushi.
