"I'm so--.. ", Shivay sighed. "See, I don't know what came over me that day. I shouldn't have thrown such accusations at you. I know they are completely baseless. I suppose I was angry and irritated and took out my anger on you. Tia always tells me that I am awful at expressing myself. No!! Can't mention Tia!"

Shivay turned away from the mirror in frustration. This was not going to be easy. It was essential that he apologise to Anika for his plan to work. But whoever knew that it might be so difficult to say such a simple word. How did people apologise all the time? He thought of his accountant, Srinivasan. The fellow was always apologising for the simplest of things, like dropping a pen on the floor in the middle of a meeting or knocking into someone on his path if he was in a hurry, or for standing ahead of you in the canteen queue... Shivay thought for a moment if he should call the fellow up for some tips, but immediately squelched the thought. The poor guy would probably have a heart attack if Shivay asked him something like this. No. He had to do this and he had to do this on his own. He turned back to the mirror with fresh determination.

"I want to tell you how so--...you can do this Shivay! Breathe in...and now out...go for it...Anika.. I wanted to apo--... Look, I know I might have behaved really carelessly..." A sound of sniggering made Shivay turn in horror to the door and he saw Rudra and Om standing there and grinning at him. How long have those two been watching?!

"Arrey, why did you stop Bhaiya? Carry on please."

"Yes Shivay. Continue."

The two came into his room. Rudra threw himself down on the bed and Omkara took up a position on the couch. By their faces it appeared as if they were about to watch a play.

"Woh... mein.." Shivay began. He tried to glare at them.

"Are you about to apologise to someone?" Om asked innocently, undaunted by Shivay's threatening look.

"It's not Anikadi, is it?" Rudra said in what came out as an excited squeal.

"Of course! Who else?" said Om at the same time as Shivay said, "Of course not!"

"Really,Shivay? Who else are you going to apologise to?" Om asked with mirth written across his face.

"Waise Bhaiya,if you need help in apologising to Anikadi, you could take advice from my Love Angel" added Rudra eagerly.

"Look, both of you understand this once and for all, I'm not apologising to that... your Love Angel?!" Shivay looked up in confusion at Rudra.

"Haan! Who else do you think I go to with my girl troubles? It's not like either of you are experts at dealing with--"

"Your gopiyaans", Om cut in.

"O, this is exactly why I don't come to you. Love Angel takes me seriously."

"What is Rudra even talking about?" Shivay asked.

"Bhaiya, Love Angel is the light at the end of a tunnel, the silver lining around..."

"He's talking about a radio show" Om told Shivay as Rudra looked on, annoyed at having been interrupted yet again.

"Let's try to call in today during the show!! Chalo Bhaiya! You too should see my Love Angel ka kamaal!" Rudra bounded over to the radio and switched it on. Unfortunately,Love Angel's show wasn't on air at the moment and after Rudra had gotten over the disappointment, Shivay sighed in relief as the conversation turned to other topics.

Anika shut herself up in her makeshift office and heaved a sigh of relief. She had been actively avoiding Mr. Shivay Singh Oberoi for the past two days, that is ever since she had shouted at him and practically thrown him out of the room. At first, she had been too busy and caught up in her task to give much thought to what she had done. However, once at home and in bed, she had suddenly been struck by the unpleasant thought of Mr. Bagad Billa trying to make her apologise for her behaviour. Last time he had created enough mischief to last her a lifetime. She didn't want to go through something like that all over again.

Therefore, Anika had launched her Mission Avoidance. And it had worked quite well for two whole days. She had been careful to avoid being seen by the man and as a result he had not had a chance to shout at her, give her ridiculous challenges or throw another dozen accusations at her. It had been a relief of sorts but she supposed such a state was too good to last and was fearing that any moment now SSO would come poking his head around some corner.

Shivay ran his hand through his hair in frustration. Where on earth had that blasted woman hidden herself again?! She evidently was coming in for work since the stacks of forms related to the wedding preparation (with neat little boxes for him to tick in his preferences) were still piling up on his desk without fail. Daadi had made him sign a cheque out for her only yesterday.The cheque had been en-cashed today so she must have come around to collect it at some point of time. She was coming to their house, doing her work, interacting with almost his entire family but yet appeared to have turned invisible where he was concerned. "Anika, where are you?!" he muttered to himself before walking off in search of her.

"Anika!"

Anika froze in the middle of a long-winded explanation on how Raju halwai was the go-to-guy for kaju ke barfis. Priyanka and Pinky aunty also looked at Shivay, startled at the anger in his voice. Soumya was lounging on a couch, eating popcorn and listening in on the wedding preparation related discussion. She dropped her bowl in alarm and popcorn flew everywhere.

It was now Shivay's turn to look embarrassed. He had caught sight of Anika and had called out without paying heed to the fact that they might have an audience.

He now looked from one shocked face to another before honing in on his mother.

"Ma, I need Anika for a minute."

Priyanka was the only one who knew about Anika's wish to avoid her elder brother and tried to step in to help her friend.

"Woh, Bhaiya, can't your work wait? We were in the middle of a really important discussion here."

Both Pinky and Soumya looked at Prinku in confusion. Since when did Raju halwai's rise to success qualify as 'important discussion'?

Anika knew when to admit defeat and turned around glumly.

"Bataiye kya chahiye aapko?"

"Come with me. I need to show you something." Shivay said, unsure as to how to explain why he needed to speak to her alone.

Everyone looked at him with scepticism.

"Woh wedding decoration ke forms mein kuch confusions hai..."Shivay said, with sudden inspiration. "Aao mere saath" he went on with increasing confidence.

Pinky was overjoyed at her son's sudden interest in the wedding. He had yet not filled in a single form that Anika had made out for him. She eagerly turned to Anika and said, "Jaa Anika! Billu ko explains kar de woh forms ke baare mein."

Resigned to her fate, Anika turned to Shivay and said, "Chaliye."
