Chapter 2

Hello Everyone

It's my Birthday today and yesterday I got my lappy as my Birthday gift..And Thanks everyone to wish me on my birthday in advance It really means a lot to me ..so here is my birthday treat for all of you..Enjoy...

Today I m updating my both stories as It's my special day and both the threads needs the treat and more importantly everyone was waiting since long as I could not update since long... But from next it will be alternate ...

Maan entered the home in a foul mood..

Supriya saw him and asked-Maan what happened?

Maan-Mom... Why don't you ask Geet to stay away from me? She is always behind me to irritate me..

Supriya-Come on Maan.. she is such a cute doll.. She is your good friend

Maan- Good friend? That's why she always make false complaints about me and you always believe her.. You don't love me mom.

Supriya-Really?..

and she thought Actually you are right Maan..I love her and you know why?

Maan looked at her with a pout..He did not say a word

Supriya smiled and pulled his cheeks-because she is a girl..you know I love girls.. When you were to be born I wanted you to be a girl..but see .. I got a son but I see my daughter in Geet..Girls are so colorful na..They wear colorful and different types of clothes..Their anklets make a sweet sound while they move around But Boys... So boring.. They just wear a shirt or a T with jeans or trousers..

and she looked at her son with a teasing look

Maan-then why you don't adopt her?

Supriya-wah...great idea..but I can't as I love my this jealous of Geet son a lot and I can't replace you with her because I have to give you to Geet's parents in exchange.. BTW I have one more idea..

Maan-What?

Supriya-I m thinking to make her my daughter in law..

And Maan's eyes got wider. He stamped his foot-Mom..I hate her.

Supriya-But I love her.. achvha Maan listen. I have made kheer today

Maan's face bloomed-Kheer...

Supriya-Yes.. it's in fridge.. and I have asked Geet to come.. both of you share that.. she must be coming in few minutes..

Maan-Geeettt...Hmmm.. Right now she is busy in ice cream bought with my money..and Now Kheer too..Moti kahin ki.. and his eyes shined with mischief ..

Maan-Revenge time Geet..

He went in to the kitchen.. There were two bowls of Kheer..he picked up both.. and smirked

Door bell rang

And Maan came out of the kitchen with his bowl of kheer and opened the door..after opening the door he put one spoon kheer in his mouth.

Geet saw him eating kheer and said-Wow Kheer..

And she came in-Aunty mom told me that you have made kheer

Supriya from her room-Yes Geet take it from the fridge..

Geet shouted- thank U aunty ..You are the best

Maan closed his ears- talk slowly Geet. Mom can hear you.. but she was Geet how could he listen she came near Maan and shouted again- I love you aunty

Supriya came out of her room-love you too sweaty.. Maan I m going to meet my friend.. Will be little late ok.. don't go anywhere . Papa will be here soon

Maan-Ok mom

Geet one more time shouted-Thank U aunty..byee. Have fun

Maan looked at him with anger and she smirked and in return but this time Maan smirked too..

Maan-Go and have your kheer.. and he followed her in the kitchen..

Geet opened the fridge and looked for the bowl of Kheer but she could not see..

Geet-Maan where is my kheer?

Maan-I don't know.. Mom told you that it's in fridge. Search it. It must be there only

Geet looked for another time and said impatiently-Maan it's not there..

Maan-When I took my bowl I saw that kheer was here ..

Geet-Maan please kheer do na.. you know na I love kheer that too made by aunty..

He was still having some kheer in his bowl and he started to eat that with making sounds-Yummy kheer..Mom makes world's best kheer.. so tasty.

He put another spoonful kheer in his mouth Mmm ...Yummyyy

Geet swallowed her saliva. her mouth was getting full of water hearing Maan's comments about Kheer..

Geet got irritated and said-Maaann

Maan-Someone looks very impatient..wait a minute...kahin chuha to nahin kha gaya..and he looked at her with raised eyebrows

And word chuha made Geet understood that he was taking revenge

Maan- kheer is finished but i want to eat some more.. I think I have one more bowl

Geet-No way Maan..that is mine..

Maan-but I need that

Geet-I will tell this to aunty

Maan-Go on.. She is at her friend's house..i think it will not look good to call her right now..

Geet-I will tell her when she returns

Maan-you can but I will tell her that you are lying.. because I saw you eating that.. now don't you think that mom will believe me for this?..at least her son cannot be so mean to eat the kheer which was meant for her lovely so called blackmailer daughter..

And Geet knew that his mother won't believe her .she too knew that Maan could not do that..

Geet-What do you want?

Someone blackmailed me just for fifty rupees.. and I had to say sorry to her without any of my fault.. so don't you think that she should say sorry to me..

Geet twisted her lips and she knew he was asking her to say sorry.. If it was some other time she would have never done but this was not the time to fight.. She loved kheer and she wanted to have that..

she took a deep breath and cleared her throat. Maan was looking at her with a smile on his face.. He knew that she would say sorry as the kheer was her weakness

Geet-Maan.. I m sorry

Maan-I did not hear.. some time ago someone was shouting at my ears and now it seems her tongue is caught by a cat..

Geet in a louder voice-Maan I m really sorry.. I will not call you again a chuha..I promise..

Maan glared you are again saying that

Geet-Og sorry sorry sorry..I promise I won't repeat that

Maan-Hmm..Not bad..aaj ke din kaam chal jaayega

Geet-Maan now my kheer..Pleaaseee..

And her pleading face melted him and he opened the fridge and took out a container tightly closed with a lid..and handed her..Geet mouth opened big-This was in Fridge? And I was looking for a bowl..

Maan-I knew it..tum buddhu ho..I transferred the kheer from bowl to this container..I knew you would only search the bowl similar to mine ab jaldi se kha lo warna I will eat that..

Geet-Nooo and she hurriedly started to eat her kheer.. and Maan smiled seeing her eating the kheer hurriedly as if she had a doubt on him that he would snatch the box from her

Door well rang again

Maan opened the door..it was Ronit..his father

Geet-Good evening uncle

Ronit-Good evening Geet..How are you?

Geet-I m fine uncle.. Ronit sat on the chair and geet went in to the kitchen and came back with a glass of water..

Ronit took that glass-Thanks beta

Geet-Welcome uncle.. Should I make tea for you?

Ronit smiled but Maan said-you don't worry..I will make tea for dad..

Geet-Areey...I make world's best tea tea.. just try once uncle

Ronit laughed hearing her-Ok Geet..i will surely try your world's best tea..

And she went in to the kitchen to make tea for Ronit..

Maan-Dad Mom has gone to her friend's house

Ronit yehh I know she called me..

And few minutes later Geet came back with her world's best tea

Ronit took a sip and looked at Geet..She was looking at him only with a hope in her eyes

Ronit smiled-very nice tea

Geet-Hai na world's best tea?

Maan teased her-Now to declair that dad has to drink world's all teas.. only then he can tell you it it's best or not and he laughed ..

Geet looked at Ronit with a complaining look.Ronit understtod and said-Maan bas karo.. don't tease her.. tea is really very good Geet

Geet with bright face-Thank u uncle.

Geet and Maan were neighbors from their birth.. In their childhood they were good friends and always played together but as they grew up they both changed as their priorities changed.. They were in their teen age so had different tastes.. and different hobbies.. Maan liked to spend his time in studying and free time was spent with his friends outside or in physical exercise..He wanted to be fit but Geet was totally opposite.. She was a foodie and fun loving girl, spent her time with her friends while watching romantic movies and gossiping about the love affairs in schools..

Her big one quality Maan was jealous with was that even if she spent less time in studies, she was always in top five of the class.. While Maan had to work hard to be in top five of his class .. Otherwise his parents were going to eat his brain by giving the example of sincerity of Geet about studies..

Geet's parents though loved Maan but he was scared of going to her house as she was always ready to pull his leg in front of her parents.. Though her parents used to scold her for doing that but Geet was not the girl who was going to listen to her parents. She was always a free flying girl... Her parents knew that she was only naughty otherwise very sincere in her work

Maan finished school and joined college for his engineering and that one year he was very relieved as Geet was not around him every time because she was one class junior to him but after one year Geet too joined the same college. and Maan knew that his independence was gone for few more years..Maan and Geet did not change a bit.. Maan always tried to escape from Geet as she still used to seek any excuse to irritate him.In college whenever he was with any girl..Geet's eyes always caught him and her teasing used to start. She linked him to every girl with whom he was seen. Though Geet too had so many friends who were boys and she enjoyed with them a lot but Maan never could dare to link her with anyone and he did not know why? May be she was a girl .He could not fix her in any false link up with any random boy and he could not make any fake story about a girl to her parents...

But He was really feeling irritated with her. Their relation was only of teasing and irritating. They could hardly seen smiling and talking in a friendly gestures..Most of the time they were busy in their arguing sessions...But one change he saw in Geet.. she stopped telling those stories to his parents.. but she did not stop to threaten him to go to his mom..and her blackmailing was continued and her demands were big too.. demand for ice cream had turned in to the treat in college canteen.. But Maan never accompanied her he just gave her money to have her treat with her friends..Their friends too knew about their relation so they took their all nok jhonk in a light way

Geet's mother had given him the responsibility of Geet and he made her assure to take care..he always scolded her whenever she was out of her limits with mischievousness and careless attitude but she never listened to him.. In back of his mind he was concerned as her mother had asked her to keep an eye on her..

Maan remembered one incident when he was just 12

Flashbacks

Maan was talking to his friends on the door of his flat.. They saw Geet coming from out.. she waved her hand to his friends.. They all knew Geet very well... she was friendly with all of them.. She was having chocolates in her hands ..She stood there for few minutes but they were talking something randomly which was not of her interest and suddenly she said to Maan

Geet-Maan ye kya ? itne bade ho gaye abi tak shorts pahante ho?.. you are big now so ask uncle to buy a pair of trousers for you.. Maan was confused.. He was wearing trousers, why she was talking like this. He looked down at his legs and found that his trousers were now little short as he had gained height.. and Geet suddenly started to laugh.. Maan's friend too started to laugh.. and Maan looked at all with some anger.. His friends stopped to laugh but Geet was still laughing..

Maan-Geet..How dare you?

Geet-Lo maine kya galat bola.koi itna short trousers pahanta hai kya...

Maan looked at her with anger

Geet looked at him-Oh tumhen bura laga,,I m soryy

Maan-To hell with your sorry..

And he was really angry now.. Geet sensed that and she held her ears in front of all saying a genuine sorry to him.. and offered him her chocolate which she just bought from the shop for herself..

Maan -please le lo..

Maan Leave it

Geet-No Maan please..le lo na.. If you have forgotten me then you have to accept this..Please Maan..Sorry na

And Maan melted at her sorry and he took the chocolate but next moment he heard her next sentence.. She ran from there saying Apna letter box to band kar lo..Khula hai.. and she entered her flat and shut the door . Maan was hell shocked at this he looked down again to see if the zip of his trousers was open? And he was really embarrassed to see that it was really opened..His friends tried to stop their laughter seeing him embarrassed

Flashback ends

A smile crept on Maan's lips remembering that incident. But he remembered his insult before his friends and he thought in his mind Geet I just wish you to vanish from my life forever..I will be very happy I will celebrate that day I promise..That day will be celebrated as my independence day..

College finished like that only..and Maan enrolled himself for MBA from a very reputed Institute..One year later Geet too started to do MBA

They were fully grown up now but their relation did not change a bit.

Maan got a job and when he with his parents went to give this good news to Geet's parents Geet said-Really Maan you got job?

Maan thought that she was going to make fun of him after all she always did that with him.. but Geet sincerely brought her hand in front of him .. Maan looked at her hand and then at her..If she was seriously congratulating him

Geet-Come on Maan-I m really happy.. congrats ..and then Maan shook his hand with her.. but he was still scared of her ..he could not trust her any time.. He had seen too much of her that it was very hard for him to believe if she could be serious at times.

Geet-I will bring sweets for all of us..after all Maan got job.. It's good for me too.. and she raised her eyes and looked at Maan in some meaningful way

Maan murmured-Haan I know your black mailing is going to be increased now.. and he gave her an irritated look..

And Geet heard and laughed a little-Maan you are rally intelligent..and she went to bring something to eat for sweet dish...and that evening both families had dinner at Geet's house.
