Love, Sanju
Present Day
"Shravan?" She quickly settled down at the table in the coffee shop, Shravan was settled at.
"Mam, coffee!" A waiter came and put the coffee cup on table.
She looked up at his eyes, they looked so weak. They seem like they lost something real important. Off course he lost something real important - she scoffed inwardly at herself, his cases are one of those things he couldn't lose to anyone, because he gets paid for proving the truth, to get his client justice.
"Shravan, couldn't we go to your house?" Suman asked keeping her hands on his.
He sighed involuntary at the soothing touch. Her mere touch soothes him, his problems vanishes.
"No we can't! I had worked all day night for the case and now in the morning I left all those papers and copy of evidences. It will do nothing but tell about how much of a big looser I am. Suman, the girl got raped and all what his father asked was a jail to the criminal and yet, I couldn't get the his daughter justice. God, she was just 14, I am such a monster." He moved his fingers up and down his scalp.
Her eyes brimmed with tears, how could one be so cruel. "Sharavan, what you could've done you did. It is not your fault that people who pull hands for bad are more than who fight for real justice. You can get the case reopened, I am sure you will get the girl justice. And don't shit me about losing and winning because I know that you are not so devastated because of losing but because you wanted the girl justice. Get that convict behind the bars." She kept her palm on his cheeks to clear his tears.
She cleared her eyes and got up, "Okay we can not go to your house but we can go to the lake right? The one you took when we first came here!" and he nodded.
THREE YEARS AGO
Suman was upset so Shravan and Pushkar decided to take her out for a picnic.
Shravan hadn't ever been outgoing but for Suman he could do everything even if he despise it. And well Pushkar had another reason to go for a picnic.
Preeti, well just as Shravan and Suman have a different kind of bond, so do Pushkar and Preeti. It is kind of inevitable for people who know them to take their names separately.
As they reached the garden they settled themselves.
They did all kind of things they could do. From playing with sand with kids to playing Frisbee with teenagers and sharing drinks with some people of their age.
So far it had been tiring for all of them but Suman and Shravan couldn't ignore what they were seeing. Pushkar and Preeti's growing bond.
After having their lunch every one lazed around but Suman needed peace, she moved around to find a place of solace.
She quickly get herself settled down a tree of Cherry Blossom with a book in hand.
"Finding solace?" She got startled with his voice as he settled beside her.
"Yeah!" She nodded.
"So let me take you!" He got up dusting the dust from his white jeans and forwarded his hands to her
She held his hands and got up cleaning her white sweat pants picking her book and black lather jacket.
They walked hand in hand to down the hill and reached the lake.
As they came closer to the lake, she shuddered due the cold winds blowing. She quickly wore her leather jacket.
"Feeling cold?"
"No, it gives me a sence of serenity and purity." She spoke in shallow breaches.
He smiled to her and both sat on the ground with legs pointing towards the lake.
"You need to get out if your shell and be more outgoing." He said caressing her hair as she rested her head on his shoulder.
"I- I just couldn't. It is so hard to do that. All here is so different." She murmured.
"Different in a good or a bad way?"
"I don't know. Some time it feels so right. Like away from all those hurting memories. All those sleepless nights and some times, I feel like I am caught in a panaromal world where I just don't have an identity apart from my sir name. I feel like if your wouldn't had been here, if you go, what would I do? I don't even know what I am; myself. Then how would I be able to do something where I am in a different atmosphere." For the first time after months she told him her insecurities.
Though she had broke in front of him a lot of times which sometimes felt, for eternity. But what she told him, got him into panorama of what would happen when he had to leave but rather than thinking of what would happen next, both of them felt to feel the moment's eternity.
In each other's arms, it was a sense of belonging and friendship which gave them a feeling of security among themselves.
The moment broke with a shrill tone of Shravan's mobile.
They got up as they saw the time and realised how they must've been waiting for them since long.
They walked hand in hand beside each other.
PRESENT, SUMAN AND SHRAVAN COMING FROM LAKE VIEW
He saw her face resting against his chest as he drove back to his apartment.
She looked so innocent and in peace. A smile adorning her remarkable features.
So beautiful. He breathed with a burning yet soothing sensation in his chest. He feels so lucky to have her.
Her face showed traces of tears and he regretted being so sorrowful and not realising how his pain affects her. It is not that her's doesn't do that to him but he had not been so open showing them all the way, the she had been intimidating always to show what and how she feels.
He know that they have something but what they had decided is to give each other 5 whole years.
He stopped the car in the parking lot in his building's premises. He know he couldn't wake her up, her beauty sleep is more to him than her and picked her up in his arms.
He remembered what she said to him, at the lake view sitting beside him ; "Shravan you know loosing faith on oneself doesn't mean anything but first step yo self destruction. No one is perfect yet for me you are the best and most perfect person. Know why? Because the sense of security I feel when I am around you is undoubtedly undeniable. So as to me you give me security, for our oneself we have to give ourselves security as well. Not always you have someone to take care of and those time it is only god you can trust on. Then you have to trust on yourself and god for the happening and the future plans. This happened maybe to test the faith you have on god and on yourself. Maybe he wanted to know it it was shakeable or not. And though yours shook, and you became miserable yet you didn't like and confronted me. You weren't a liar to anyone. Know why? Because you knew you were doing it for right! So just like that you need to confront the truth and accept it so you can move forward and doesn't forget to make memories that are cherishable. As the line goes - My creed is Love;
Wherever its caravan turns along the way,
That is my belief,
My faith."
He smiled looking at her. She shouldn't know for now but he wanted her to know that she is precious to him. And wanted to tell her - he breathed in as laid her down on bed, I Love You Sumo. So much more than one could imagine, to infinity.
She might return the same gesture but it was not the time for her to know, he knew that, just not yet.

Wonder,
A garden among the flames!
My heart can take on any form:
A meadow for gazelles
A cloister for monks,
For the idols, sacred ground,
Ka'ba for the circling pilgrim,
The tables of the Torah,
The scrolls of the Quran.
My creed is Love;
Wherever its caravan turns along the way,
That is my belief,
My faith.
