Hello all. Back with an update after a long time I know. I tried my best to re-connect with the story. I realized I had forgotten one or two planned sub-tracks in -between. But I remember what Kalpi's final weapon is. ;-) Hope you like this update and track. Sorry again fr short update, thought its better to update something than nothing 😆

PART-37

Noisy and abuzz with apprehension, uncertainty; that noon the sets of the show were like this. Even usually smiling Kalpana too was not untouched with the worried waves flowing on the sets. The only difference though between others and her thoughts was that she knew the reason behind the bomb thrown on the sets that morning by Raghav.

The five days deadline given by Raghav to her, this was all happening due to that. It was as if Raghav wanted to prove that he was not kidding.

Just like that, Raghav had informed the producer and director that owing to increased work load in his business he might have to leave the show after one month. This meant that either the show will have to be ended earlier or they will have to start searching for replacement.

But, everyone knew that finding the replacement of a superstar like Raghav Singhania; and a character which was much loved when portrayed by him was next to impossible. Therefore, the plans of a quick conclusion of story had already started. Raghav had told the producers that he will convey his final decision in about fifteen days. So, only a few words out of his mouth had left Kalpi stunned. She was hurt that Raghav could go to this length for the purpose of avoiding their mutual feelings and love. Kalpi knew that Raghav will not wait for fifteen days. He'd wait for the five days deadline to be over and then, the future of the show and their team members will be revealed.

Kalpi knew that maybe she will be the first person to know about it, since this was all related to her efforts to break Raghav's walls. But she was determined still; to attempt that Raghav reveals his true self and reasons to her. "Hmm" she thought, "drastic situations attract drastic measures." Some plans were already forming in her head.

Spellbound yet frustrated and still impressed, Raghav's feelings were as confused as his thoughts were. "Kalpi" he sighed mentally looking at the supposed perfect picture in front of him. "Maybe I am the only imperfect thing and odd one out amongst all these perfections" he wondered as he watched both his mother and Kamla Maa along with Kalpi, preparing themselves for the joint interview.

Yes, it was a joint interview-cum-a visit to both Kalpi & Raghav's homes by the media. It was all arranged by Kalpi, so that she could show to the world how much sacrifice and hard work of their respective mothers had gone behind their both success. Raghav knew that Kalpi's first effort to defeat him in this five days deadline was already successful. After all, what answer he could have to this pious action taken by Kalpi. It was his dream Kalpi knew to bring both their mothers together in front of the world and tell it, about the rock solid foundation both mothers had given to their children.

He had always wanted to tell the world who the two women behind his success were: his mother and Kamla Maa. But ever since their families came in touch again this was the only opportunity in proper sense when he could do so. But even this was planned by Kalpi; and to make him happy of course. According to Raghav, Kalpi's plan of action was pretty simple; impress him, make him happy and in turn make him acknowledge his real feelings for her. It was all a big psychological trap. Yet here he was trying to be more solid than a rock; again. He did everything to keep his mothers happy but never let Kalpi win; never giving away the turmoil in his heart show on on his face or in his words.

So there they were Jadhavs and Singhanias, opening the doors to view of the friendship between their families for the world in a short way. They were having fun, with Kalpi being the main centre of attraction between the two mothers. Kalpi's sounds of giggles were music to his ears as he watched his both mothers and Kalpi in the kitchen, cooking something for the benefit of cameras. Kalpi smiled at him somewhat triumphantly; and somewhat promisingly, her eyes full of a feeling he wanted to ignore. "If I am not wrong, maybe it is ...or maybe..." he had wondered if he had seen some appealing and desirous emotions in Kalpi's eyes before crushing those thought with much pain.

FOURTH DAY: -

It was the fourth day of the challenge now and Kalpi was lost in thoughts; thoughts about what the fifth day would bring. She knew that she had only a few hours, less than forty-eight (48) to break the seal on Raghav's lips and his eyes, so he lets go of whatever fears he is facing. Her heart always broke, each day when she looked at him; for she knew the real Raghav.

Kalpi knew that real Raghav, her Raghav would not hold himself so much in restraints around him. She knew that even in the toughest of circumstances, Raghav Singhania always smiled in front of the world. But this Raghav, he had not shown a proper smile to anyone since past so many weeks. "You can try to hide your pain from others Raghav, but not from me; not now" Kalpi thought to herself.

For past three days she had tried to do everything for Raghav. She had tried to be with him as his best friend at every moment, at every difficult situation he faced. She had diligently brought lunch for him and served, fed him herself. Not allowing him to work overtime Kalpi had always called Raghav like an alarm clock, to return home in time; and to also spend some time with Gauri Singhania, his Mom. When he needed alone time, she gave him even that. She took care of every need of Raghav; but she still felt that her efforts were going in vain.

Even as her lips involuntarily sighed, the wheels of her brain and heart were running fast now in an effort to melt Raghav. It was then when with a start she realized that the day next, i.e., the fifth day was Raghav's day off. This meant that now she had fewer hours to complete her mission.

"Oh No" she stood up with a start, biting her nails as she paced in exasperation in the confines of her bedroom. "Bappa, please give me some idea" she joined her hands in prayers. "No No, I cannot accept defeat. I have to think of something" by now all her senses were focused on finding a solution to the emergency at hand. At last, she did found a way and patted herself on back, before praying that everything works out in her favour.

Her fingers dialed a familiar phone number. When the person answered the call, the quick greetings left her lips faster than she herself had anticipated, "Hello, Sammy Sir?"

Raghav was trying to give some peace to his heart, as he walked on the soft grass in his lawns. The stars and moon shone brightly above in the sky, but Raghav's heart was engulfed in darkness. He had felt the impact of each and every gesture of Kalpi these past four days. Her littlest of actions had shown him how important Kalpi is to him. Yet he had always managed to keep a stony face in front of her.

He knew that Kalpi had thought her actions had not affected him; and he had never tried to rectify her assumptions. Each time his fragile heart broke a little more and now only one day was left, which would decide the direction of their relation's future. But he knew it was his off the next day, so he had little or no idea what Kalpi would do in this case. Where he was going to spend his off, no one knew about it; thus limiting the chances of Kalpi's success. Raghav closed his eyes and mentally caressed Kalpi's face, "Oh Kalpi only if you knew how much you affect me and how much you matter to me. If only, I could show you, I could tell you."
