PART 11

Not all scars show Not all wounds healSometimes you can't always see......the pain someone else feels!

SHIMLA[MAAN'S COTTAGE]

Geet stood motionless outside Maan's room door!... Maan's each and every word had shaken up her entire being!

Everything had collapsed in just matter of seconds! ... Truth in its full glory was so painful that her senses had numbed!

She slowly dragged herself out in the lawns, it seemed that today even nature was crying with her! She stood there in the storm in that negligible clothing, the cold chilly winds hitting her hard! ... Even the heavy downpour seemed powerless in front of the truth that had surfaced out!

The chaos within her was so powerful ... loud and painful that any other thing just seemed immaterial at this instant!

In these few moments her entire life flashed in front of her eyes!

She was again standing at a juncture where she was left all alone! ... Nobody to care for her ... Nobody to love her ... Nobody to hold her! ... Nobody to fill the void within her!!

She crumpled on the ground crying her heart out, the deep buried pain within finally finding its release!

The events in Maan's room broke her down ... his words ... his misery ... his pain ... his helplessness ... shattered her!

The fact that SHE was the cause of his pain butchered her heart into thousands of pieces!

"Samajh nahi aata tumhe ... chali jao yahan se ... akela chod do mujhe ... samjhi tum..." His words echoed in her numb mind and him pushing her away ... had ripped her heart and soul apart !!

After throwing that cheap woman out of the cottage Geet had rushed back to the room only to find Maan holding the glass of that drugged drink and was about to gulp it ... But thankfully Geet reached in time.

"Sir please woh drink mat pijiye!!" She pleaded.

"Tum ...tum yahan kya kar rahi ho ... aur tumhari himmat kaise hui uss ladki se saath aisa karne ki! ... Woh meri dost thi ... mujhe company dene aayi thi." He burst out.

"Sir woh ladki sahi nahi thi ... yeh drink ...isme kuch hain ... aap please isse mat piyo... please sir meri baat maan lijiye!" She tried again.

Maan looked at the glass meaningfully like in deep thought and then spoke out.

"Theek hain ...main iss drink ko nahi piyunga ... kyunki ab iss drink ko tum piyogi!" Maan put forward his condition.

Geet tried to reason out with him but Maan was not in his senses and was livid with Geet's constant appearances around him inspite of him shunning her away each time.

He wanted to scare her away ... knowing Geet ... Maan was sure that she will never ever even think to do something like this forget drinking! ... So finally she will leave him alone for good!

But here innocent Geet thought if she agreed to Maan's condition then he won't consume that drugged drink. So inorder to stop her Maan, she held the glass and drank the liquid.

Geet's sudden move had caught him off guard and before he could stop her Geet had consumed a fair quantity of that drink.

Maan was quick enough to pull the glass and at once threw it on the ground, breaking it into pieces but now he was seething in anger.

This girl had crossed all limits today!

And here Geet was lost in her own thoughts totally unaware of what was troubling Maan. Now that she had fulfilled his given condition ... Geet thought Maan would comply to her request.

She rushed to bring some water for Maan and was trying to make him drink it. She didn't have much knowledge about how to deal with such situations so the only thing that struck her was to make him drink plain water.

"Sir aap ki tabiyat theek nahi hain ... woh ladki ... usne aap ko kuch pilaya hain ... aap paani pi kar please so jaayiye ... phir main chali jaaungi ... aap ko aaraam milega." She tried to persuade him but ...

"Aaraam milega? ... Main so jao ?... neend aa jaayegi mujhe? ... huh!" He bit out sarcastically.

"Tum jaanti ho Geet ... na jaane kitne dino se ...main chain se nahi soya!"

" ... Neend nahi aati mujhe ... takleef hoti hain ... aur tum ... Ha ha ha
"... Aur tum kehti ho mujhe aaraam milega! ...ha ha ha ..." He laughed at his plight.

"Sir please meri baat maan lijiye ..." She pleaded, totally confused and scared seeing his weird behavior.

And that was it!

"Kyun maanu main tumhari baat? ...huh ... Kya tum meri baat maanti ho?"

"... Baar baar ... har baar main tumhe apne aap se door karta hoon ... toh kyun aa jaati ho mere paas? ... Itna bhala- bura sunaane ke baad bhi ... koi farak nahi padta tumhe ...hain na?"He shouted moving away from her.

"Samajh kyun nahi aata tumhe ke ... main tumhe apne aap se ... door karna chahta hoon!" He paused for a moment and then again walked up to her.

"Lekin phir bhi tum baar baar ... mere aur bhi ...paas aa jaati ho!" Holding her Maan whispered angrily.

" ... Kya bigaada hain maine tumhare ...huh ... jo tum mujhe itna dard deti ho? ... Bolo Geet?" Maan held her shoulders and confronted her harshly.

"Main ... main aap ko dard ... nahi ... main kaise ?..." Tears poured down her eyes hearing his words.

But Maan was so zoned out that he failed to even acknowledge what he was doing or how his outburst was affecting Geet.

"Haan tum mujhe dard deti ho Geet! ... Bahot dard deti ho ...itna ki bahot takleef hoti hain mujhe!"

" ... Raat raat bhar jagta rehta hoon main ... tadapta rehta hoon ... tumhare wajah se ... sirf tumhare liye!!" Maan burst out, his fingers digging in her soft skin

"Takleef ... meri wajah se?" Geet murmured.

"Haan Geet! ...Takleef hoti hain mujhe!"

"Jaanti ho iss takleef ko? ... Kabhi mehsoos kiya hain tumne ... nahi na?"

"Aaj main tumhe bata ta hoon ... How you make me feel!" Plastering her to him, he started caressing her body.

Pushing her on the bed, he came over her and pulled off her pallo. Geet gasped as he started tantalizing her senses with his touches and kisses. Geet was scared as well as getting seduced on. His body touching every part of her body and ... then she felt it!!

Her eyes widened in shock as she felt his arousal on her bare stomach. Maan had purposely done it so she can realize what it meant to be between a man and woman!

He was still placing wet kisses on her neck, he had already slid off her blouse strap down her shoulder and now his hands were caressing her softness over the flimsy material.

Geet was writhing below him with fear as well as an unknown yearning and excitement!

She couldn't resist anymore and screamed his name.

"MAAN..."

Maan paused for a moment looked into her eyes that were glazed with uncertainty and desire!

He smirked at her response and continuing his mission he while licking her ears whispered.

"I lust over you Geet ... your beauty ... and ... your body! "Geet shivered as he uttered these words.

"All I want is to have you ... claim you ... own you!!" His hands now freely fondling her.

"You think I'm your protector?"

"Tch ... tch ... tch ... NO ... no ... no ... I'm a predator and YOU ... Geet you are the prey!!

"Look at you Geet ... you are away from home ... here in an unknown place ... all alone ... with me ... in my cottage ... at my mercy! I can do anything with you and you won't be able to stop me ... But ... Its just that I don't force myself on women!"

"And no matter how much I yearn for you! ... I can't break your father's trust and ruin your life... your innocence and breach your chastisity!!"

"So just get lost from here!" Getting up at once he ordered turning away from her.

Still lying motionless on the bed, Geet kept gaping at his back .. tears continuously streaming out of her eyes. The hard hitting truth had awakened her from her dream world ... shattering her every fantasy!

Sensing no movement from her side Maan turned again only to find her still frozen in that disheveled state in his bed.Taking in a breath he pulled her up and ...

"Door raho mujhse Geet ... Yahin tumhare liye theek hain ... Meri takleef ko aur mat badhao ... Chali jao yahan se ... Akela chod do mujhe ... Chali jao..." He barked.

Geet still didn't move and Maan's control snapped!

"Samajh nahi aata tumhe ... chali jao yahan se ... akela chod do mujhe ... samjhi tum..." Pushing her out of the room he banged the door shut on her face.

Geet stood motionless outside Maan's room door!... Maan's each and every word had shaken up her entire being! Remembering all their encounters Geet realized.

How Maan had always protected her from the world and also from himself! ... The iron man for the world seemed so vulnerable today ... And she was the reason for all his pain. He always tried to keep distance between them and she would end up coming all the more close to him ... adding on to his woes.

His pain felt like thousand stabs in her heart!! Dragging her lifeless body out of the house she reached the lawns cursing herself for to have caused so much pain to her Love!!

"Woh hamesha mujhe bachate rahe aur main unhe hi dukh deti rahi! ... Apne hi pyaar ko itna dard diya maine! ... Main kabhi unki takleef ko dekh hi nahi paayi! ... Yeh maine kya kar diya!"

The love you can't have lasts the longest......feels the strongestAnd hurts the most!!

She was all lost in her agony when she suddenly heard someone laughing. She looked up to see the two parts of own herself ... her soul ... the good and the evil mocking her.

"Kya hua Geet? ... Sach jaan ke bahot takleef ho rahi hain? ... Yahin hain tumhare Maan Sir ka asli chehra! ... Woh bhi auron ki tarah hi nikle!"

"Tumhe kya laga MSK tumhare sapnon ka rajkumar hain ... jo safed ghode pe aakar ... tumhe pyaar ki duniya mein le jaayega!! ... Ha ha ha"

"Har baar main tumhe kehti hoon lekin ... tum ... tum sab par bharosa kar leti ho!"

"Pehle Rahul... Your best friend! ... And see how hi betrayed your trust ... He and his family are just interested in the money that you will bring in their family ... Afterall you are a Khurana employee... big name ...big money!"

"Then that scoundrel Brij who has been lusting over you from ages. He is always trying to get you and that day he had nearly succeeded in his dirty motive ... had your beloved Rano Maa not returned home on time."

"Thankfully your so called Rano Maa has managed to save you from both these disgusting people, Rahul and Brij."

"But ofcourse not to forget that your so called mother also has her own selfish agenda to keep you unmarried so that you can earn ... run their house and also look after her children."

"All of them are pure selfish!! ... They just want to take advantage of you ...exploit your selfless being!!"

"Geet abhi waqt hain sambhal jaa ... yeh sab log sirf tumhara faayda uthana chahte hain! ... Rahul aur tumhari Rano Maa ko tumhari kamaai mein interest hain ... Aur Brij aur Maan sir ko tumhare is khoobsurat badan (body) mein!"

"Meri maan bhaag jaa yahan se ... ek nayi zindagi ki shuruaat kar akele ... jahan koi tujhe dhoka na de ... Bhaag jaa bhaag jaa Geet!..." Her evil reflection provoked her.

"Yeh tum kaisi baatein bol rahi ho ... Geet tu iski baaton mein mat aana ... tum meri baat suno ... accha hi hua ke maan sir ne tujhe sab sach bata diya ... ab iss pyaar ke khyaal (thoughts) ko apne dil se nikal kar sirf apna farz (duties) nibha!"

"Geet agar Rano maa teri shaadi nahi karna chahti toh isme galat kya hain?"

"Woh kitni akeli pad gayi hain ... Papaji and Beeji dono beemar hain ... Rajji aur Tito dono abhi chote hain ...toh woh tujhse hi umeed rakhegi na?"

"Geet tu badi hain ... apne parivaar ka beta hain tu ... aur tera farz hain ke tu sirf unki khushi ke baarein mein soche ... yeh pyaar vyaar bhool jaa aur sirf apna farz nibha!!"

"Nahi Geet ... tu meri baat sun ...bhaag jaa!"(evil)

"Nahi Geet ... tu meri baat sun ... farz nibha!"(good)

Both her reflections argued amongst themselves and then started closing in towards Geet ... their loud voices echoed in her ears ... their presence around her ... like suffocating her!!

Geet couldn't take this anymore and just lost it!

"Chale jao yahan se tum dono ... mujhe akela chod do ... chale jao ..chale jao sab..."

"Mujhe yahan nahi aana chahiye tha ... main hamesha ke liye Maan sir se door chali jaungi ... chali jaaungi ... yeh sab kuch bhool jaaungi!!

Geet shouted helplessly covering her ears trying to shut herself from everything and everybody around her.

NEW DELHI [XYZ- HOSPITAL]

Thankfully Aadi hadn't suffered any major injuries and was conscious now but he would be hospitalized for few days. Shasha had a very strong feeling that whoever was trying to harm Khurana Constructions would have surely planned something big this time to stop Khurana's from bidding for this prestigious contract.

Generally it was always Aadi who would go to file all the Quotations of KC. That was the main reason why Shasha had refrained Aadi from going today but Aadi being Aadi didn't comply and had to pay the price.

Shasha had hatched a perfect plan to dodge the enemies!!

She had sent Pari, a trusted and loyal employee of KC, Bangalore to Mumbai. Shasha had also ordered Pinky to replace the papers of the Quotation file. She further instructed her to carefully carry the originals along and meet Pari at the temple early morning.

The whole plan went off smoothly as nobody would have suspected that these two junior employees of KC would come to file in papers for such a prestigious project. Both Pinky and Pari with the help of Raj Khurana's authority letter successfully managed to file the Quotation in time. Pinky and Pari had just stepped out of the premises when they witnessed Aadi's accident and rushed him to the hospital.

Now that Aadi was out of danger Shasha had persuaded Pinky to go home to prepare some homemade food for Aadi, Pari too accompanied her. Now that only three of them were here in the room they could discuss the issue at hand.

Shasha had been livid on Aadi's overconfidence Jay had somehow managed to ease the tension between both his friends. Aadi inquired about Maan and the papers that needed to be sent to him for the deal.

"YOU DID WHAT???" Aadi practically shouted in this injured state, flabbergasted with information Shasha disclosed.

"Relax Aadi ... you heard what I said!" Shasha stated nonchalantly.

"Have you lost it Shasha!! ... Paagal ho gayi ho tum!! ...Maan iss waqt itne gusse mein hain ... His temperament is totally unpredictable and beyond his control at the moment ... And you sent that poor girl to face his fury!!" Aadi burst out on her.

"Listen Aadi ... " Shasha started only to be cut off by midway by Jay.

"Stop it Shasha ... this time Aadi is right ... you shouldn't have done this!"

"You have actually sent that innocent girl in the lion's den!

"Inspite of being well aware of the fact that Maan can be so harsh and nasty when angry still you sent her there ... Do you even realize the outcome can be so dangerous!" Jay chided her.

"She knows the repercussions very well Jay! ... Or should I say that she has planned it all deliberately!! ... Hain na Shasha?" Aadi bit out.

"Jis din se Geet ne KC join kiya hain na ... Shasha uske peeche pad gayi hain ... Usne jaan kar Geet ko wahan bheja hain taake Maan gusse mein Geet ko insult kare aur Geet KC chod kar chali jaaye."

"Shasha tum acchi tarah se jaanti ho ke Maan ... Geet ko apni responsibilty samajhta hain!"

"Gusse mein aaj agar Maan ne Geet ko hurt kar diya toh woh uss guilt se kabhi ubhar (overcome) nahi paayega ... zindagi bhar tadapta rahega ... yahin plan hain na tumhara?"

"Phir shayad tumhare itne saalon ka badla poora ho jaayega ... Hain na Shasha?" Aadi confronted her.

"Ho gaya tum dono ka ... ya abhi kuch baaki hain?" Shasha probed calmly.

Both Jay and Aadi irritated by her nonchalance towards such a crucial situation.

"Shasha tum ..."Both started again but she silenced both.

"Now my turn!!"

"You know Jay ... Aadi is right!!... Finally ... mere itne saalon ka badla ab poora honewala hain!"

"Aadi jiss din se Geet ... KC mein aayi hain na ... uss din se mere badle ki shuruaat ho gayi hain ... Tumhe kya laga main Geet ko KC se nikalna chati hoon ?... Tch tch tch ... You are so funny Aadi! ... Agar aisa hota toh main Geet ko ek din bhi KC mein nahi rehne deti!!"

"Main Geet ko nahi balke Maan par attack kar rahi thi ... Geet ke zariyen main Maan ko target kar rahi thi ... Geet toh mera hathiyaar tha jisse main Maan par vaar karti thi!!"

"Itne dino se main unke saath Push aur Pull ka game khel rahi thi ... Main dono ko kareeb laati phir door kar deti ... phir kareeb laati phir door kar deti!"

"Oh boy!! You have no idea how much I have enjoyed this game!" She announced proudly.

"Geet jab Maan ke kareeb hoti toh woh seh (bear) nahi paata tha ... aur jab woh door chali jaati toh reh (stay) nahi paata tha ... Oh it was so much fun!!" She disclosed her plan.

"You are just unbelievable!! ... Tum apne aap ko Maan ki dost kehti ho ... You are disgusting Shasha!! ... Chi!" Aadi uttered in distaste.

"Shasha what is wrong with you ...Main maanta hoon ke that night Maan went overboard but still how can you harbour so much angst against him ... He is our best friend!!" Jay confronted her.

"Overboard? ... Jay he insulted me and Tanya infront of the entire college ... I was his best friend but did he once care about it ... No!"

"And what was our fault ... that we loved him!! ... Jay ... Tanya really liked him and I helped her so that she can voice out her feelings to Maan ...And what did he do?"

"I had truly wished that my friend would find love and all the hatred and pain that he had buried deep within him would just disappear! ... So that he could live his life happily again!!"

"But he chose that hatred over love ... his chose his ego over my friendship ... he chose his anger over my concern!!"

"Jay... Maan's friend has forgiven him long back but the woman can never forget the humiliation that he inflicted upon me! ... No matter what!!"

"That day the woman in me had vowed to teach him a lesson that not all women are same and I will make sure that one day he not only realizes it but will also see to it that a woman will break all his resolves ... she will crush his ego to bits ... she will make him confess his feelings ... And teach him the language of LOVE!!!"

"And that day the woman in me will be vindicated!!" Shasha asserted firmly.

"So you chose Geet as your pawn for this revenge drama ... Why not use an innocent girl to avenge your insult ...hain na?" Aadi taunted her.

"Just shut up Aadi ... just shut up!! ...Tumhe itne bade chasme pehenke bhi theek se dikhayi nahi deta kya? ...Why am I even asking you tumhe toh apni lovestory bhi samajh nahi aayi ... Maan ki kya samajh aayegi!" Shasha lost her cool exasperated with Aadi's taunts.

"You fool can't you see that Maan is head over heels in love with Geet!!!!"

"Shasha I understand but ..."

"Jay we both know that what Maan feels for Geet is much more than concern ... You have no idea how much power Geet's presence has in his life right now!! ... What do you think Maan left because of Simran Aunty ...NO!!!!"

"Maan has faced many bigger and bitter situations than this ... the reason of him leaving is GEET!!! Its just that Simran Aunty's drama triggered his anger and he chose to run away from his emotions ... from feeling of this helplessness ... from his love ... and from HIS GEET!!"

"Yes I have purposely sent Geet there because only she has the power to stir emotions in him and if we left him alone this time he would steel himself of all emotions once again ... leaving no room for a faintest ray of HOPE ... EVER AGAIN!!"

"Shasha have you lost it!!!! Yeah Maan is attracted to Geet ... he does feel for her! ... But we can't rule out the fact that till day women for him are just meant a medium to fulfill his physical need ... And you sent Geet!"

"For God's sake Shasha!! ... She is innocent .. pure ... not even aware of what Maan feels for her ... Agar kuch galat ho gaya toh uski poori zindagi barbaad ho jaayegi ... How could you?" Jay blasted her.

"Jay ... "

"Just shut up Shasha!! ... Aaj tak maine tumhe kabhi nahi roka ... hamesha tumhe space di ... kyunki mujhe yakeen tha ke tum kuch galat nahi karogi ... I trusted you and knew you would never compromise on your morals ... But you proved me wrong! ... I'm so disappointed in you!!"

"Seriously Jay this is what you think of me? ... Yeah I sent her there ... And I'm not one bit regretting it because I know I have done a right thing! ... Both of you think that I will ruin Geet's life ... Her life is already ruined ...burdened with miseries just like Maan!!"

"And I have made an attempt to bring two ruined lives together ... to pave a path for their bright future!!" She proclaimed earnestly.

"And what if that doesn't happen? ... What if your plan backfires? ... What if in the whole thing Geet is broken beyond repair? " Aadi queried sarcastically.

"Jay ... Aadi just trust me ... just listen to me ..."

"No Shasha ... now you listen to me very carefully! ... You are my fiance and any blunder that you do directly affects me!! ... And here you have actually put an innocent life at stake just to fulfill your god damn revenge!!"

"If anything goes wrong ... anything!! ...You my dear are in for serious trouble!! ... You have created this mess and now you will sort it out! ... I don't care about anything right now except that I want Geet back here safe at any cost!! ... Call her back ... NOW!!" Jay warned her.

"Jay isse baat karna bekaar hain ... Main hi Shimla call karta hoon ... We need to ensure that Geet is safe!" Aadi worriedly picked up his cell to call Geet.

"Damn it ... yeh phone kyun nahi lag raha hain?" Aadi yelled in frustration.

"Woh issliye Aadi ...kyunki abhi news alert aaya hain ke Shimla mein toofan aaya hain ... kaafi landslides bhi hue hain ... roads, phone lines and all communications cut off ... No connection!!" Shasha announced looking up from her mobile.

"Shayad Bhagwaan bhi yahin chahte hain ke woh dono ek saath rahe ... issiliye pohuchna toh door tum unse baat bhi nahi kar paoge Aadi ... yeh toofan tumhe untak pohuchne nahi dega!!" Shasha declared.

"Pata nahi yeh toofan kaunsi barbaadi laayega?" Aadi muttered ruefully.

"Yeh toh waqt hi batayega Aadi ke yeh toofan kitni barbaadi laata hain ... aur iss barbaadi ke baad kya ek shuruaat hogi ya nahi?" Shasha claimed painfully.

SHIMLA [HOTEL]

"Tum log yahan kya kar rahe ho?"

"Boss ne hume bheja hain MSK pe nazar rakhne ... Lekin tum yahan kya kar rahi ho?"

"Tumhe toh aaj raat MSK ko phasane (trap) ke liye bheja tha na ...phir yahan kyun ho?"

Sonia kuch soch ... agar inko ya Boss ko pata chala ke ... uss ladki ne mujhe maar maar ke bahar nikal diya ... toh yeh log mujhe maar denge.'

"Woh Maan toh party se hi akele kahin chala gaya ... main uske cottage se hi aa rahi hoon woh ab tak waapis nahi aaya hain."

"Theek hain ...chalo hum sab wahan jaate hain aur uska intezaar karte hain ... shayad MSK ki koi kamzori (weakness) haath lag jaaye!"

"Chalo.."

We don't meet people by accident,They are meant to cross our path... for a reason!!
