Thapki ran and stopped in front of the running jeep which braked so hard...if the driver was not wearing seatbelt, he would have gone through the front windshield. The jeep stopped inches away from Thapki. Bihaan jumped out of the jeep and grabbed Thapki's arm.

"ARE YOU MAD THAPKI? DO YOU HAVE A DEATHWISH??" Bihaan shouted.

"Sorry Bihaan, I was s-scared you will leave and won't see me". Thapki made a puppy face and said in her cute voice.

"Thapki this is not the first time you did this, before too you came like this in front of my bike"

"Sorry kahana ...it na gussa k-kyon pher?" Thapki pouted still using her cute voice.

"Do you want to kill me, is that what you want ...because if anything happens to you that is what I will be...I will di----"

Thapki quickly put her hand on Bihaan's mouth before he could utter the word.

"Don't say such things"

"Then promise you will not run like crazy and come before cars anymore...Promise karo"

"Haan baba p-promise, I will not run in front of cars anymore..aab k-khush?"

Bihaan still looked miffed. "What do you want? Why were you running like a crazy person?"

"I wanted to give you this." Thapki handed him his Bluetooth headset. "I don't w-want you to use your mobile while driving, so you may use t-this."

"Haan thik hae...thanks" Bihaan grudgingly accepted the Bluetooth and started fitting it into his ear.

"Drive safe, take care and come h-home to me as soon as possible". Thapki said with a smile.

"Woh Thapki I wanted to say something" Bihaan looked a little discomfited.

"What is it?"

"Thapki woh...I wanted to say...that...please go easy on Ma, I know you won't ever misbehave or be rude to her... but if she obtains happiness by saying something to me...I mean anything...let her be na...let her be happy...waise bhi, we are going to make her very unhappy in few days...so let her do whatever she wants...if she wants you not to care for me, not come close to me then don't..."

"Thik hae, I w-won't come close to you...I won't c- care anymore" Thapki said flippantly and started to turn away...

Bihaan quickly hold Thapki's arm and stopped her from leaving, "I said PRETEND that too only in front of only Ma NOT really to not care for me at all"

"Aisa hae kya, B-Bihaan? Did you say pretend before?? No I don't t-think so... You want me to keep on smiling while Ma insults you na? That is what you will g-get from now on...You won't see m-me again.. I will stay away from you, I won't c-care for you too as you wish" Thapki tried to release her arm still not facing him.

"Thapki, why are you saying like this?? Who do I have in this world except you? Bihaan cajoled.

"Leave my h-hand, Bihaan...I have more important w-work to do than talk to you... like packing D-Dhruv Sir's suitcase which Ma asked me to do and what I should be d-doing instead of trying to say g-goodbye to an ehsaan farmosh insaan. So just l-leave"

"Thapki if you leave me like this...I won't be able to concentrate while driving and god knows what will happen to me..." Bihaan blackmailed without any shame.

Thapki stopped struggling and turned to look at him.

"You know I didn't mean anything like that, Thapki, please don't be angry with me." Bihaan said using his cutest puppy expression.

Thapki gave an exasperating sigh "What do you want?"

"Say you love me" Bihaan smiled.

"Okay I love you" Thapki said like a robot.

"Not like this Thapki, say it with feelings like you mean it, with feelings"

Thapki stared at Bihaan for few seconds.

"I don't like it Bihaan when s-someone tries to downplay you..it h-hurts...I hurt when you h-hurt.." Thapki said in a small voice.

Bihaan took her in his arms..."I know Billi, I am sorry, it is only for time being...everything will be alright soon I promise..."

Thapki gave Bihaan's chest a mock thump while still in his embrace, "Thik hae...jau aab tum...aur jaldi jaldi lautna..I will be waiting."

Bihaan kissed her forehead and climbed the jeep. Thapki stayed at the gate until she could see Bihaan's jeep and left only when it disappeared.

Unbeknownst to her, two very pretty ladies were jumping and hugging in joy after they accidently witnessed the tender scene going on in the driveway of Pandey Nivas.

Suman Bhabi had tears in her eyes. "I told you Badki, Bihaan devarji aur Thapki both love each other dearly...there must be some kind of misunderstanding"

"I knew it too Chutki in my heart, but I was scared to hope" Priety bhabi wiped her own tears. They hugged again and laughed.

"Did you see how Bihaan devarji hugged Thapki like she is the most precious thing in this whole wide world?"

"Haan, they love each other so much...they look so happy together even when they fight...I hope nothing ever takes away their love---"

They both fell silent and looked at each other with dread. "Par Badi-Sasuma---" they both said at the same time...
