Important: Please please please dont hate Vasundhara...she is a mother,she loves her children. Well, she probably loves Dhruv more than others but main thing is she wants what is best for everyone. She wants her Dhruv back the way he was...she can't take his indifference to her anymore , the pain he is going through.Especially when she is the reason behind this pain.
She is genuinely sorry and remorseful for all the mischief she caused in the past. She loves Thapki like her own and want what is best for her too...
And you guys have to keep in mind she is sick..when people grow old and sick, they become like child..they don't want to see anything or listen to anyone except what they think is right. Even if she sees affection growing between Thapki-Bihaan she doesn't want to see it..because it doesn't fall into her plan of getting back Dhruv's affection. Making him forgive her.
She is not really a bad person, because she is not realizing what she is doing. She just wants everyone happy.
The North and South Pole
Vasu kept dumping water on Thapki's head until it ran clear. Only then she released Thapki's hand and grabbed the towel from the rack. She started to pat Thapki's face lovingly with it, "Aise maazaak nehi karte beta" she said with a benevolent smile. Vasu then turned to see Bihaan still standing like a statue. She smiled at him too.
"Chalo, chalo, children, phataphat ready ho jau and come downstairs to the living room. I have an announcement to make which will make you two very happy." She turned her head to Thapki, then again to Bihaan, both of whom seem to be rooted at the spot.
"Come on fast" She barked which broke them out of their reverie.
"Haan Ma" they chorused like obedient children...
"Chalo, chalo, Bihaan move out of the doorway!" she started to usher Thapki out of the bathroom.
"I want you two downstairs within two minutes" Vasu smiled and left the room...
Bihaan and Thapki looked at each other. They didn't know what to say to each other or think...what the hell just happened? Whatever happened, happened within seconds. Ma came, destroyed, left just like that...
They heard Vasu calling the other family members downstairs and they quickly started to dress. Everything suddenly just became awkward... as they both began to hurry, they couldn't seem to say anything to each other, not even look at each other, What was Ma upto now? They both began to dread as they began to make their way downstairs.
Everyone was gathered in the living room. Dadima, Bauji, Ashwin , Sanjay was sitting in the rounded sofa. Preity-Suman was standing behind their husbands. Dhruv was there too. He was standing separately from every one, looking very irritated. He was dressed up to go out; Vasu must have stopped him from going to office. That was what all Dhruv seem to be doing lately...home-office-home, when he came, when he went, it was hard to keep track. He seemed more reserved than ever.
Thapki and Bihaan came and stood beside Preity and Suman bhabi. Everyone had a question mark in their face. Only Vasu seemed to be smiling.
Vasu looked at Thapki-Bihaan and broaden her smile, "Come children, we are waiting for you"
She cleared her throat and began, "I know how I have hurt everybody in this family especially my two sons, and I don't deserve your forgiveness. I must have done something great in my past life, that I have been blessed with such a family"
She looked over to Dhruv who was looking uninterested, but everyone else looked piqued. She continued, "But the worst was done to an innocent soul, and innocent girl who got caught up into all this mess and got hurt the most."
Balwinder shook his head," Vasundhara ji, these are all history, why are dragging it all up? Don't take stress, doctor asked you not to..."
"No, No I have to speak today Balwinderji, let me talk..., I have ruined Dhruv's life but along with Bihaan and Thapki's ------"
"I don't have time for this" Dhruv turned to leave exasperated.
"No, Dhruv wait..." Vasu looked hyper as she stood up. "I can make everything all right, beta. It is not late yet...No one seems to be happy in this family anymore but this can be amended." She looked over to Thapki and Bihaan, "those two can get their marriage annulled and Dhruv-Thapki can get married".
All hell seemed to break loose at that statement.
Thapki-Bihaan seemed frozen to shock. Dhruv was looking at his mother with pity. Everyone else seemed to say something at the same time.
Dadima said, "what are you talking about Vasu Bahu? Have you lost your mind? Bihaan-Thapki are husband and wife-----"
"Arey kaheka pati-patni?? All they seem to do is fight all the time"
"Nahi, Badi-Sasuma it's not true, they care for each other------", Suman piped in.
"Care,off course they care for each other, if you start living with a cat, you will start caring for it automatically, it's not---"
"Vasundharaji, Bihaan Thapki se pyaar karte hai-----" Balwinder said firmly.
"Arey kaheka pyaar, Bihaan to bachcha hai, wo pyar ka matlab bhi samajtahe?? Aap pyar,pyaar laga rakkha hai? Did you forget what he said and did just before you got stabbed? They barely tolerate each other. He thinks she is bane of his existence...Aur Thapki...she never loved Bihaan----"
This time it was Preity Bhabi who interrupted, "It's not true Badi Sasuma, Thapki has always supported Bihaan devarji in all hard times because she lov--"
"Thapki ne saach ka saath diya hai...kuch aur nehi. She would have done it for any other person in that situation. She is so much like my Dhruv...how can she love Bihaan?...they don't have anything in common...Thapki is so well-cultured, highly educated-soft and polite where as Bihaan hasn't even finished 5th class properly. All he is good is at fighting. I am not saying Bihaan is good for nothing but you have to admit one is South pole if the other is North"
She took a deep breath; she was talking in pants now, "All I am saying we, I mean I have forced these two children into something not meant to be and these two have adapted themselves into living in that situation. They don't love each other and they don't even have Pati-Patni ka rishta between them..."
Every pair of eye moved to Thapki-Bihaan who still seemed to be frozen. But their expression confirmed whatever Vasundhara was saying was true... they didn't have any kind of physical intimacy...
"---And it is because Thapki still loves Dhruv, she didn't allow their relationship to develop..Dhruv is the only one for her, who is compatible to her---"
"Vasundhara ji, do you think these three are dolls to play with?? Ek se shaadi todk dusre se kara diya jaye...ye koi mazak hai kya? What will the people say??"
"Why are you thinking what people will say? Kuch to log kahenge, uska to kaam hi kehna...but these 3 lives will be saved...Dhruv was saying he wants to shift to Mumbai, he can settle there with Thapki no one will know about their past...and as of Bihaan, he can get married to any girl he wishes and settle down here or anywhere, kya fadak padta hai? Even if there is gossip it will die down with years...gossip is not important than life of our children..."
Vasundhara was heavily hyperventilating and profusely sweating...She was not looking well at all...and she had a crazed look in her eyes as she went on talking over animatedly.
Everyone noticed and guessed she was at a point break. Balwinder said," Haan thik hae, Vasundhara ji, par we can't decide something as vital as this in a jiffy, for now you need to lie down and rest.."
" Nahi ji---we can't waste anymore time. I have to make everything right, the way it was before".
"Ma, don't worry about anything, everything will be settled in time please come with me..." Bihaan said in a calming voice as he placed his arm around her shoulder and moved to take her to her room.
Vasu wanted to stay and continue but she was really feeling weak and went with Bihaan who took her to her room assuring everything would be all right...
PS: Please don't kill me after this update...I am sorry it came to this... and it hurt me as well while writing it...but I promise I will give you guys some Dhruv-Thapki...sorry I meant Bihaan-Thapki next update...I think...maybe ...well ...🤔 okay bye...
