Chapter 7
"Rey, Rihaan is tired. I think we should leave for home. Its getting late-" Taani said to Rey, who was talking to swayum.
"Sure. Bhai aap chale rahe ho?"
"You go, Rey. I will come later with mom-dad and sharon."
Rey nodded and left for home with taani and Rihaan who was on verge of sleeping in his mother's arms.
"Party was awesome, wasn't it?"
"Yes. Did you enjoyed?" Rey questioned her, he opened the door of the car for her, taani passed a smile to him and sat inside on the passenger seat.
"I did. Though i am not a party person, but i enjoyed alot." Taani answered him as he came and sat on the driver seat, he drove away to home.
"Even Rihaan enjoyed alot. He was getting lots of attention, specially from females." Taani chuckled softly, she caressed rihaan's head lovingly who snuggle in her embrace more.
"He is a charmer, after all, he is my baby boy." Rey grinned proudly.
"Yeah right! So you were also a ladies man?" Taani questioned him.
"Offcourse! Girls die for my one smile. Specially in college, i was the most popular guy in college, girls used to go crazy behind me." Rey answered her back, raising his invisible collar. She lifted her eye lashes and look at him, and found herself lost in him, he was so perfect, flawless, with well build physique, the broad shoulders, brown orbs, neatly gelled hair, those lips..
STOP! She groaned mentally, putting a full stop on her thoughts which had took slightly dirty turn, mentally cursing herself for going off the track, she shook her head to get those thoughts about him out of her system. She shouldn't do this, its wrong.
"He is your husband. You have right to admire him-" Her inner conscious told her. She bit her lower lip in nervousness. It was first time, she is finding herself attracted to someone and that someone is her own husband, who is definition of perfection.
"-and i am sure, you must be popular too in your college. Many boys must be crazy about you-" Rey's voice broke her trance.
"Sorry to disappoint you but i was an ordinary student. Tanya was the diva of the college where as i was known as her sister who looks like her. My whole college life went with people comparing me with tanya. They would come to me and tell me i should be like tanya." Taani told him with a soft smile.
"And you don't like when people compare you with tanya." It wasn't a question, it was a statement from him which surprised her.
"Nobody likes that. We were two individual, different from each other. Tanya was bubbly, frank and open minded who loved limelight where as i was the reserved one, preferred to stay away from attention. People like her more, not that i had any complaints but the thing i never liked, was how people told me to be like her. You know, sometimes i used to fear that i will lose my real self in her shadow. No one will ever like me for who am i. I wanted to have someone who wouldn't want me to change, will accept me with all my flaws-" Taani poured her heart out, for the first time infront of someone she was speaking about her inner feelings and insecurities she had from childhood.
Rey glance at his wife, felt like he was seeing a completely different person. Getting to know about her inner feelings, he could understand her better.
"There are people who like you for who you are-" Rey said to her, glancing at her, he wanted her to know her that he was one of them, when he see her, he see taani, not tanya.
"I know, now." She whispered softly, staring at him.
"Would you like to tell, what were the qualities you wanted in your partner? I am sure, like every other girl, you must have thought about it, so dare you to lie-" Rey asked her, glancing at her, He smiled when he saw a smile tugging at her lips.
"I didn't had a long list. I just wanted my partner to be understanding and loyal."
"Do i fit the bill then?" Rey grew curious and asked her, wanting to know about her views on having him as her life partner.
Taani look at her husband, surprised at the way their conversation was heading to. They had never talked so freely to each other and it certainly feels good to talk to him, about her feelings.
"Yes. You do." She mumbled softly. He was more than perfect for her.
A perfect companion.

Taani put Rihaan to sleep in his cradle and turned to Rey, who had just stepped out of the washroom, after taking a shower. He was just in his track pants and a towel around his neck. He dried his hair with towel then threw the towel on the couch and moved toward his wife.
Its been few days to their talk in the car and he could understand his wife better.
"Taani, you alright?" He asked her, when he noticed her uneasiness then his gaze fall over her hand which was clutching her stomach. He moved toward her and held her shoulder.
"Yeah! I am alright-" She mumbled and tried convincing him by giving him a smile, but he wasn't buying it.
"Taani! Dare you lie to me." Rey warned her, then again asked her whats bothering her.
Taani hesitated, but then decided to tell him.
"I am in that time of month, you know-" She whispered hesitantly in barely audible tone, if he wasn't standing close to her, he doubt he would have heard her.
"Are you in pain?" He asked her with texture of softness in his tone. He lifted his hand and tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear, he made her look into his eyes.
Her cheeks heated up, feeling embarrassed to talk to him about that.
"Answer me, taani, are you in pain?" He asked her, again. This time she gave a small nod in response.
"Let me bring a glass of warm milk for you, it will help you with cramps." Rey murmured softly.
"I don't like milk." Taani pouted cutely.
"How about i add some chocolate powder in milk?"
"That sounds good." Taani smiled at him, he returned the smile and walked out of the room while leaving a smiling taani behind, who couldn't help but adore him for being so caring toward her.

He placed the empty glass on the side table and made her lay down on the bed then covered her with blanket.
"Thank you, Rey." Taani turned to him and gave him one of her best smile when he slide inside the covers beside her.
"How are you feeling now?" Rey asked her gently. He hesitated but then he shifted close to her and placed his hand on her belly.
"Better." She smiled softly at him. He started rubbing his palm on her belly in circular motion.
Her heart fluttered, having her husband so close to her, made her feel jittery and fuzzy inside.
"Sleep now, you must be tired after a hectic day." Taani said to him. He hummed in response. Rey wrapped his arm around her and pulled her in his arms, surprising her yet again.
"Good night, taani." He kissed side of her head and closed his eyes to sleep. Taani smiled widely, she was falling for her husband.
