Chapter 13

"Guys!"

Aman barged into Arnav's room and the five suddenly stopped their planning about his birthday party.

"What happened?" Aman asked suspiciously.

"Nothing!" Arnav said, "Why did you come?"

Aman nodded and closed the door. He joined his five fellow mates on the bed and said, "We're here for three days and didn't start our moves!"

"We were waiting for you dude!" NK said, "We need your brain for tackling the snake!"

"Not snake...Mr. Gorilla!" Khushi said, "That's the name kids gave him!"

Everyone laughed and Aman said, "Listen guys, Shyam's fracture is a minor one and he'll start walking within days. So we have to implement our plan!"

Everyone nodded and La said, "Guys, she is ready at any time!"

NK said, "I hope this will work!"

"THIS WILL WORK!" Payal said.

"Oh god, I wanna see his face when she comes here!" Khushi said.

"So when to start?" NK asked.

"After 2 days, it's my birthday! Let her come as my friend to wish me!" Aman said.

Everyone nodded and Arnav whispered, "Shyam Jha, count your days at RM!"

"Adi beta..."

Adi was sitting by his poolside and drawing something when he heard a voice calling him. He looked up and saw Akash and Anjali standing near the poolside entrance.

"Who asked you to come in?" He asked rudely.

Ignoring his rude question, both of them came in and sat on his either sides.

Akash sighed and said, "Adi...I know you hate us."

"Good for you!" Adi said curtly and continued in his drawing.

"You hate us because we threw your mother out, right?" Anjali asked and Adi kept mum.

"Adi, you're mistaken! Yes, we threw your mother out but did she tell you the reason?" Anjali asked.

"We'll tell you! Your mother and her sister tried to ruin our family! You won't understand it now beta, but as you grow up you'll come to know that your mother and maasi are nothing but cheaters!" Akash said.

"Your Arnav uncle doesn't believe us," Anjali said, "He believes Khushi and Payal and supports them. Even your NK uncle, La chachi and Aman uncle does not believe us! But you're intelligent na? You're really smart. You should see their true face!"

Adi looked at her and nodded.

Anjali gained confidence and said, "You should help us beta. Only you can help us. We want to get back our Arnav and NK who are under those gold digg...err...cheaters' influence. Only you can help us in getting them back. You need to act as if you're with them and should inform us everything that those cheaters are planning!"

Adi looked at Akash and asked, "You don't love her?"

Akash adjusted his specs and said, "I loved her a lot! But not anymore! I lost trust in her years back, the day I realized her true face! I am ashamed of myself that I loved her once. I hate her, I hate everything about her!"

"You hate everything about her," Adi said, "So you hate me also? I'm her son!"

Akash nodded no. Hugging his son, he said, "I love you my son! You're my blood! My heir...I love you..."

Withdrawing from the hug Adi asked, "Then why did you ask mamma whether I'm really your son or not? You were asking for a DNA test!"

"I was angry beta!" Akash said.

"Ha Adi...your papa na, when he is angry he becomes blind!" Anjali said faking sweetness, "He loves you a lot!"

Adi asked innocently, "Really? Do you love me?"

"Ha beta," Akash said, "I love you! I really love you! You're influenced by your wicked mother! She is turning you against me! She is lying my son! You should see her true face behind that loving mask she is wearing. She..."

Adi chuckled and cut him, "You think I'll believe your crap?"

Akash stopped his rant and Anjali looked at him wide eyed.

Adi stood up and said angrily,

"You're saying that my mamma is lying. So, when I was three years old, the tears she used to shed while making me sleep was fake! The moment when she stood near the window and burst into tears looking at the sky was fake! The words she wrote in her diary is fake!"

"Ha beta, it's all fake!" Anjali said.

"JUST SHUT UP!" Adi shouted at Anjali, "DON'T THINK THAT YOU CAN CONVINCE ME WITH YOUR WEB OF LIES! I'M NOT AKASH SINGH RAIZADA WHO WILL DANCE AT YOUR TUNES! I KNOW YOUR TRUE FACE MRS. JHA! I'M NOT SPINELESS LIKE HIM! I LOVE MY MOTHER AND I'LL GO TO ANY EXTENT TO PROTECT HER! AND MIND MY WORDS, IF ANYTHING HAPPENS TO MY MOTHER, THEN I WILL KILL YOU!"

Turning to Akash he shouted,

"And hear it My-so-called-FATHER, you mean nothing to me! What did you think you would come up, call me some sweet words and I would bow my head down? Well, you're wrong! YOU'RE NOT MY FATHER! WE MIGHT SHARE SAME BLOOD BUT FOR ME YOU ARE THE PERSON WHO BETRAYED MY MOTHER, MAASI, CHACHU AND OTHERS! FOR ME MY FATHER IS AMAN UNCLE! ONLY HE WAS THERE TO SUPPORT ME, TO HUG ME AND PAMPER ME LIKE A FATHER! HE IS MY FATHER, NOT YOU!"

"STOP IT Adi! THIS IS NOT THE WAY YOU SPEAK TO YOUR FATHER!" Anjali shouted while Akash stood rooted.

Adi shouted,

"WHO ARE YOU TO DICTATE WHAT I SHOULD DO AND SHOULDN'T DO? YOU PEOPLE ARE JUST SERVANTS HERE! SO STAY WITHIN YOUR LIMITS! AND YOU MR. AKASH SINGH RAIZADA, STAY AWAY FROM ME!"

"Adi..." Akash began when Adi cut him and said,

"Of all the people in the world, I HATE YOU THE MOST, MY SO CALLED FATHER! YOU'RE THE PERSON WHOM I CURSE EVERY DAY! AND I'M CURSING YOU AGAIN AND AGAIN! YOU'LL ROT IN HELL MR. RAIZADA! YOU'LL PAY FOR EVERY TEAR MY MOTHER HAS SHED!"

"Khushi..."

Khushi was folding clothes when she heard Arnav calling her. She turned and saw him standing near the door.

"What happened Arnav ji? Are you okay?" Khushi asked dropping the clothes.

Arnav walked in and sat on the bed.

"I was passing by Adi's room when I heard Akash and Anjali talking to him." Arnav said.

"What were they talking?" Khushi asked.

Arnav sighed and said, "You are right Khushi. These people will never change. Even now they believe Shyam and consider you and Payal as wrong. Hell, they are trying to poison a child's mind against his mother."

Khushi sat by his side and asked softly, "What did they say?"

Arnav sighed and narrated what he heard.

"Hey devi mayya, how would've Adi felt? What did he say?"

"Adi burst out! He shouted at both of them!" Arnav said.

"Poor Adi, he must be crying! Let me go and check him!" Khushi got up when Arnav held her hand.

"Khushi, today I realized his pain! All these years I never noticed it, or we could better say he never showed it. He is in pain Khushi, our Adi is in pain! He is longing for father's love and he see Aman as his father! For him Aman is everything!"

"What are you suggesting Arnav ji?" Khushi asked.

"We should get Aman and Payal married. Payal deserves someone better than Akash, Aman deserves happiness and Adi...he deserves a perfect father and no one apart from Aman can give him a father's love!" Arnav said.

Khushi nodded and said, "You're right! We should talk to them!"

Arnav said, "We'll talk tomorrow. It's very late now! Let's sleep!"

Khushi nodded and said, "You lay down. Let me go and check Roo and Ruhi!"

Aman was sitting on the bed leaning on the headboard, busy in his work. Not some work, the mission against Shyam! He was mentally calculating and preparing the plan when he heard someone calling him in a broken voice.

"Aman uncle..."

Aman looked up and saw a red eyed Adi standing near the door.

"Adi, what happened beta?" Aman asked alarmed and he stood up.

Adi ran to him and hugged his waist tightly bursting into tears.

Aman was shocked. He withdrew from the hug and made the boy sit on the bed. Wiping his tears and giving a kiss on his forehead, Aman asked softly,

"What happened? Baat kya hai?"

Adi said in between his hiccups, "They are so bad! He...he said bad...things about mamma. They are trying to brainwash me."

"Who beta?"

"6 foot and pooja thaal" Adi said in anger.

Patting his back, soothing him down, Aman said, "Let them say something. Don't bother their words."

Adi hugged him and said, "My mamma loved them all. But why are they doing this? They called her and maasi cheaters. Why are they so bad?"

Aman withdrew from the hug. Cupping Adi's face, he said, "Whatever they say, your mamma is the best mamma in this world. She is a very good person and she and your maasi are not cheaters! Whatever they say, just ignore it!"

Adi nodded and wiped his tears.

"Okay now, boy, don't be a cry baby! What if Ruhaan, Ruhi or Sonu see this? They're gonna tease you to hell!" Aman said chuckling.

Adi chuckled and Aman said, "It's very late. Go and sleep!"

Looking at Aman, he asked cutely, "Can I sleep with you today?"

Aman smiled at the boy and nodded.

"Khushi..." Payal called her sister who was working in kitchen.

"Ha jiji!" Khushi said and Payal asked, "Did you see Adi?"

Khushi nodded no and said, "He must be there at his room!"

"He isn't there! Let me go and check at Ruhaan's room!" Payal said and walked away.

Khushi continued making breakfast when Anjali entered.

She walked to the other side of the kitchen and started making breakfast.

After a while Lavanya entered and she started helping Khushi and officially ignored Anjali.

Remembering something Lavanya said, "Ha Khushi, we have to call event management company right? The party is day after tomorrow!"

"Party? Which party?" Anjali asked suddenly.

Khushi looked at her and said coldly, "The party is not for servants. So you needn't come!"

Anjali burned in anger and walked out of the kitchen but hid behind the walls hearing their talk.

Lavanya said, "I hope Aman likes the surprise party."

Anjali heard it and thought, Oh so it's Aman's birthday!'

After thinking for a while, Anjali smiled evil, I have a perfect birthday gift for you Aman!' And she walked away.

Payal searched everywhere for her son and sighed. Where is he?' She thought and then it struck. She didn't check in Aman's room!

She walked to his room and knocked the door. Seeing no response, she slightly pushed the door and it opened.

She walked in and saw the most peaceful sight in the world.

Her son was sleeping hugging Aman who had his arm wrapped around the boy's frame. Adi had a sweet innocent smile on his face and Aman had a peaceful smile adorning his face.

Payal stood watching the scene.

Isn't this what she wished for? A perfect father for her son! And here he is!

Aman Mathur!

Payal Gupta realized the truth!

Only Aman Mathur can be his father!

She sighed and decided.

No backing off Payal! Now only decisions!' She said to herself and walked out of the room with a determined face.

PRECAP

"I WON'T SIGN THESE DIVORCE PAPERS!"Akash shouted.

"YOU HAVE TO! COME ON, WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WIHT YOU? FIRST YOU KICKED ME OUT AND NOW WHEN I MYSELF WANT TO GO OUT OF YOUR LIFE, YOU ARE NOT LETTING ME GO! ARE YOU INSANE?" Payal said.

Akash chuckled and said, "I don't want you in my life! s**ts like you doesn't have a place in my life. BUT I WANT MY SON WITH ME! HE IS MY SON, MY BLOOD AND RAIZADA HEIR! HE WILL STAY WITH ME!"
