Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to skip amfAR Gala at Cannes for 'Sarbjit'

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is giving a miss to the glamorous charity event amfAR as the actress will be occupied with the promotions of her upcoming film Sarbjit.

The amfAR Gala at Cannes is scheduled for May 19 and the biopic on Indian prisoner Sarabjit Singh is due for release on May 20.

"Keeping this in mind, Aishwarya will be returning from Cannes immediately after her red carpet appearances to promote the movie and fulfill other professional commitments," the release states.

Aishwarya, 42, would be attending the event on May 13 and 14 and her this year's appearance at Festival De Cannes will mark the Jazbaa star's 15 years.
