Part 6
Taani was walking in corridor, lost in her thoughts. She was thinking about whatever happened moments ago. She had said yes for being the part of drama team but will she be up to their expectations.
She moved towards stairs and starts descending down when suddenly a thought came in her mind which made her scared. She said yes and that too without asking about this from Rey. What if he got angry because she didn't ask for his permission?
She was halfway on stairs when a shriek escaped her mouth as her foot slipped which result her to slipping through some stairs down, she shut her eyes tightly in fear but before she could touch the floor a pair of arms holds her.
She opened her eyes slowly and the first thing she saw was... Rohan.
For some moments she couldn't understand what just happened but then she realized that Rohan has saved her from falling. She looked at him thankfully and tried to stand up straight but winced in pain.
"Careful." Rohan said concerned and made her sit on the stairs and sat beside her. He tried to touch her ankle when he noticed she was caressing it but she didn't allow him.
"Mujhe dekhne do, please." rohan pleaded softly.
Hesitantly, she pulled her hand away giving him permission. He checked her ankle which had got sprain.
"Don't worry, jyada kuch nahi bas halki si moch hai. Hum abhi medical room chalte hai. Ok?" rohan said her in soothing manner.
Both were engrossed in themselves that they didn't notice students were gathered there, looking at them and gossiping. Dance team except shanaya and Rey was passing by there when they noticed them and stopped.

"What happen guys.. why are you standing here?" shanaya asked to gang as she came there, pretending clueless about surroundings.
She looked at Taani and cursed her bad luck and Rohan, because of him her plan to made Taani the mocking object in front of whole college went in vain. She had spread soap water on one of the stairs without anyone notice, when she saw Taani was coming towards stairs and immediately hide behind one of the atrium doors.
Till that time Rey also came there and stood behind gang but no one had noticed him. Then he looked ahead and the sight made his blood boil. Rohan was sitting beside Taani on the stairs and his hand was on her ankle.
"Ohhh... so all are enjoying a show of new 'love birds' of our college." Shanaya commented looking towards Taani and Rohan. This broke Rey's trance.
"You know what simi, this small village girl is so smart. She knows how to trap rich guys in her innocent charm and fulfilled her dreams of luxury life." Shanaya spoke with disgust filled voice.
Her words were working like a fuel to his anger, ignited the fire within him while his gaze was fixed on Taani. His heart didn't approve her words but his mind didn't even allow him to stop her.
His anger went on another level when he saw Rohan encircled his one arm around Taani's waist and with another he hold her hand as she stood up. He fisted him palm angrily, wanted to chop his hands in million pieces.

Taani wasn't feeling comfortable when Rohan wrapped his hand around her waist but hadn't any option as she was not able to stand by own.
She looked up and found everyone was looking at them which made her conscious but then her gaze met with Rey and a shiver ran down in her veins seeing his red eyes which were spitting fire.
The way he was looking at her was scaring the hell out of her. She immediately looked down and start walking slowly as Rohan was taking her to medical room. She forgot about the pain in her ankle, the only thing which she could feel was his burning gaze on her.
Here, Rey was burning from inside seeing her with Rohan. He hadn't felt this much angry before. He couldn't understand what he was feeling but the mere sight of her with someone else made him mad.
He immediately rushed to the home because he knew if he would stay here for some more seconds he himself don't know what he'll do.

After her treatment they left the college and Rohan insisted her to drop her home. First she denied but Rohan wasn't ready to leave her alone so with no option left she agreed.
In whole drive she was silent. Though she agreed to let him drop her home but from inside she was scared.

Rohan stopped his car when Taani said so. He was confused that why she asked to stop here on this busy road. Then he remembered that this is the place where he met her first time and maybe she lives somewhere nearby.
"Taani, tum yahan rahti ho?" he again asked.
"Nahi.. wo... uss gali me... but main chali jaungi yahan se." she replied pointing towards the street.
"Taani, main tumhe wahan..." he tried to argue but she cut him off.
"Maine kahan na, main chali jaungi." She said as politely as could, not wanted to sound rude.
"Ok, fine. But apna dhyan rakhna aur agar kisi bhi cheez ki jarurat ho to mujhe call karna. Mera number hai na tumhare pass." He backed off not wanted to pressurize her which made her uncomfortable though he was still worried for her.
She smiled at his care and nodded, after thanking him she stepped out of the car and starts walking towards the street with slow steps.
Rohan was staring at her retreating back and after sometime he drove off.
Taani turned around when she was sure he went away. She was feeling guilty that she lied to him about her living here but she can't let him know that she lives with Rey nor her relation with him because he doesn't want anyone to know about them.
Then taking a taxi she went away from there to her house.

Rey was pacing in living room, fuming in anger as today's incident was playing again and again in front of his eyes while shanaya's words were ringing in his ears. He was so confused that why he's feeling like this, why he didn't like whenever he see her with that rohan. He doesn't want to think about her but the part of his heart always pushed him towards her, forced him to think about her, care about her.
He was so pissed off with this battle between his mind and heart. He sat on the couch and run his hand through his hair, frustrated.
His head snapped at the sound of door opening, looking up he found her entering in the house with limping steps. He remembered whatever he had seen in college and again his anger toll over him.
Taani entered inside and starts walking towards her room as she didn't notice him yet. But she stopped when his voice reached into her ears.
"Kafi... ACCHE DOST bana liye hai tumhe aur wo bhi... itne kam time mein." He commented bitterly as he walked towards her and stopped some steps away. Taani looked at him confused.
"Jo bahut jyada care karte hai tumhari." He spoke further with sarcasm filled tone. She understood what he's talking about.
"Reyaanshji, aisa kuch nahi hai wo to bas..." she started to tell him there is nothing like what he's thinking but cut off by him.
"Ohh.. really... aisa kuch nahi hai..?" he asked raising his one eyebrow as he stepped near her which made her nervous.
"Tumhe lagta hai ki mujhe kuch dikhayi nahi deta, kuch samjh nahi aata, ki kaise tum uss Rohan ke sath baahon me baahe daale pure college mein ghum rahi ho..." he spat angrily coming close to her. His eyes were only showing anger which was scaring her. Her eyes fill with tears as she shook her head negatively.
"Reyaanshji, aap galat samjh rahe hai..." her voice was trembling as she tried to make him understand but again he cut her off.
"Just SHUT UP, Taani." he roared at her.
He held her by her shoulders and pulled her towards him. They were so close to each other that they can hear their heartbeats.
"Main bilkul sahi samjh raha hoon tumhe, aur agar yeh sab tum mujhe dikhane ke liye kar rahi ho then you're wrong Taani, kyunki Reyaansh Singhania ko koi farak nahi padta tumhare kuch bhi karne se. Toh apne yeh cheap tricks mujh pe mat aajmana." He hissed in anger and then jerked her away from him leaving her shoulders harshly which made her stumbled back on her feet.
"Ahh.." a yelp escaped from her mouth as unbearable pain hit her in her ankle. She was about to fall on floor when he held her in his arms.
His got worried as he looked her but then seeing the bandage on her ankle he realized she had got hurt. He looked into her eyes which have tears in them and showing only pain. He felt like someone has pierced his heart with a sharp knife. He felt guilty as he realized what he did.
He scooped her in his arms taking her by surprise as he walked towards her room. She was looking at him amused, realizing this is the first time she's looking him concerned for her.
He entered in the room and made her lay down on the bed carefully and then called the doctor.

"Taani, dekho thoda sa dard hoga but theek ho jayega." Rey said in soft tone which was confusing him too.
He was sitting beside her on the bed and trying to convince her to let doctor twist her ankle so he can fix her sprain but she is so scared that she didn't allow for it. He sighed helplessly not knowing what to do.
"Ok, fine. Meri taraf dekho." He told her as he held her hands in his. A shiver ran down in their veins feeling each other's touch.
Both were looking into each other's eyes and were lost. She could see care for her in his eyes. An unknown happiness crept in her heart seeing him caring for her.
Other side, he was lost in her beautiful hazel orbs which were showing pure innocence. He don't know what happen to him that he held her hands but he knew he couldn't able to see her in pain.
She was so lost in him that didn't notice when Rey signaled to doctor and he twisted her ankle. She tightened her hold on his hands when she felt little pain but it was not much. She blinked her eyelids as she realized what happened.
She averted her gaze from him coming out of her trance and looked at her ankle and then at their intertwined hands.
He looked down where her gaze was fixed. He liked the feel of her hand in his but unwillingly he left her hands and looked towards the doctor.
Doctor wrapped a crap bandage on her foot and left after instructing Rey about medicines and other things.
"Umm.. tum rest karo. Main kaka se kahke tumhara dinner room mein hi bhijwa deta hoon." He said and left the room.
She looked at his retreating back, a small smile formed on her lips as this is the first time he talked to her nicely. How much he behaves rudely with her but he had a beautiful heart that cares for her, a little bit though. But it was enough for her.
