Jab We Met, Rockstar, Highway, Tamasha - all these films directed by Imtiaz Ali had one thing in common - powerful roles for female characters. Imtiaz Ali has always tried to capture raw emotions on the big screen and now the filmmaker has come out with a short film.

The film, which was premiered during the India Conclave Today 2016 in New Delhi last month, was released officially today. Imtiaz has opted to promote the 5-minute-long film exclusively on the digital platform and it is already making waves on the social media.

I think web series, short films are exciting forms that hold potential to bring about change in storytelling and entertainment," Imtiaz said, adding that the availability of short films on the internet makes access easy and gives them longevity.

So what is the film titled My Dream all about? It shows a man's discussion with a sex worker in the backdrop of a massive stock market crash.
