Chapter- 67

When Arnav returned back, he found Khushi sleeping. He looks at nurse who was himself dozing off, he asked her to get some sleep and she leaves from there. Arnav himself sat on bed beside Khushi caressing her head.

When Khushi started waking up in early morning , she saw Arnav sleeping beside her on bed in sitting position. Carefully, not disturbing his sleep , she somehow got up from the bed and flinched in pain but she walked towards washroom with unsteady steps. Her expressions turned horrified catching her reflection on full size mirror as soon as she came inside.

Tears flowed on her cheeks looking at her scratched , pale, Bruised skin. She started peeling the cloth she was wearing and looked at her bruised legs, thighs, scratches on her stomach, hand prints and bruises covering her most of the body, her cleavage was scratched.

She looked herself through mirror again and felt sick , she moved to shower stall and standing under shower, she started massaging herself from body wash everywhere trying to erase his touch. Tears were streaming down from her eyes, she wanted to forget everything. She was scrubbing her skin hastily to get rid of those disgusting marks. She removed the gauges from her wrists which was already wet.

Leaning against the wall she slides down crying bunching herself like a ball. She didn't even flinched when hot water touched her body and wounds which was turning more red with every moment. She let out a feeble scream due to weakness in pain and agony.

Arnav sat up on a bed panting, he looked around for Khushi , he thought he heard Khushi screaming but her voice was too low to even hear. He looks for Khushi in panic when he saw lights coming out from bathroom, he ran there and started knocking.

No reply!

Arnav: Khushi! He knocked again.

Are you ok? Still no reply.

Arnav: "You're scaring me Khushi" Atleast answer me, he said knocking harder this time.

Arnav: May be she needs sometime , thinking this he backs off but something else clicked his mind and he keeps his ear on door concentrating in shower's voice. He can hear the sound of shower but if Khushi is taking shower that shouldn't some sounds of splash and change in water comes, he thought concerned.
He tried one last time by calling her but when still got no reply , he pushed the door with force breaking its lock, he needs to see her.

The moment door open he engulfed with steamy smoke of warm water , he looks around in fear for Khushi.
Walking to shower stall in long strides , he opens the door to see Khushi curled onto the floor and hot water running over her bare body.
Arnav: Khushi! He shouts and instantly turned off the shower , himself getting wet. He scooped her bare form in his arms without wasting a moment and comes out from shower stall. He covers her with towel, Khushi was sobbing in her semi- unconscious state.

Khushi slumped in Arnav's arms having no energy left and Arnav sits down with the help of bathtub having Khushi still in his arms.
Soaking another towel with cold water , he dabbed it on her skin softly , careful of her wounds. He looks at her body which he have love and wanted to protect is now bruised.

Khushi looked at him trying to keep her eyes open as he caressed her face now with cool water. Getting up Arnav walks back to room , grabbing robe in between. He made Khushi to sit on couch and than carefully put robe on her but she hissed in between making Arnav to look at her concerned.
Arnav: What happened?
Khushi: My hands! It's hurting.

Arnav carefully pushed robe's sleeves up and again swore looking at her wounds. He takes her to bed and comes with First-aid box . Arnav started applying ointment on her wounds when he heard her sobbing increased.

Arnav: Why are you crying? Is it hurting too much? Should I call doctor? But Khushi only sobbed.
Arnav: "Khushi" he said keeping his hand on her cheek and next moment Khushi launched herself in his arms.
