Ch 38 : Her Excitement
It was dinner time, all were having their food while having light conversation.
"Dad, me & taani are going jodhpur for few days." Rey informed his father, Ranvijay smiled at him.
"Thats great, son. Rishi called me yesterday, and he is missing taani alot." Ranvijay said, taani smiled at her father-in-law, he was just like her father, very supporting and sweet to her.
"I'm so excited to meet them, after months i will see them. And you know, maa, Mumma has made those tasty laddu;s for me." Taani told her, excitedly. Avantika smiled hearing her.
"Taani, in your absence, house will look empty-empty." Ranvijay says, since taani had entered their house as their daughter-in-law, their house look more lively with her presence.
"True. I'm going to miss my baby girl alot." Avantika said while hugging taani who was sitting on the chair next to hers.
"Aw. I'll miss you too-"
"Mom, we are going just for three days and even i am going, but you will miss only her? WOW! I feel loved-" Rey look at his mother with a sarcastic smile playing on his lips.
"Jealous much-" Taani teased him, Rey narrowed his eyes at her, but was happy to see her back in her playful mood. Avantika and Ranvijay laughed at his expense.
"Avantika, does that look good? Here my daughter & son-in-law are facing such huge problem and you all are joking around? Don't you all feel sad for them? Instead of finding solution for their problem, you are planning to go on trips. You guys just don't care about them-" Smriti, who was an silent spectator, was getting enraged seeing them behaving so normal.
"Smriti, how can you say that? Off course we understand the situation and we are with him, but we can't do anything other than giving them our support. Its their decision what they want, adoption or surrogacy, we all are with whatever decision they will take. But there are other family members too, who have lives of their own, taani is going to meet her parents and as a husband rey is going with her, I don't think there is anything wrong in that." Avantika answered her back, with firmness in her tone.
"Don't know why but i feel you neglect kriya or may be my daughter is not important to you now, since your other daughter-in-law is here." Smriti, as straight forward as she was, spoke her mind. Taani shifted uncomfortably in her place, she was feeling uneasy after hearing their conversation.
Rey look at his wife, understanding her thoughts, he kept his hand on hers under the table. Taani look at him, he blinked his eyes, assuring her that his mother will handle it.
"I don't know why you are saying this, for me both my daughter-in-laws are equally important. I accept I'm more open up to taani because we share a bond since her childhood. She is special to me, I wont deny that. I know her in & out like she knows me, but that doesn't mean i dont care about kriya. I love kriya too, but we might be not that close since we hardly spend time together. Kriya is reserved, she likes to stay in her room than spending time with other family members, its not a bad thing though-" Avantika answered her back, her tone was calm yet had the firmness.
"Mom, please stop creating a scene and don't accuse her like this. Mom has never differentiate between me & taani. If you really think that i'm not important to them, then they would have thought about their son, not about me. If i wasn't important, then they would have suggested shivam to marry some other girl, after all they must be craving for grand kids, but no, they supported me, not once they asked their son to leave me, like most of the parents do usually-" Kriya interrupted and silenced her mother, who has taken the whole situation in wrong way. Smriti look at her daughter, narrowing her eyes at her.
"I want your happiness only. If you here happy then i am. I'm sorry, avantika. I over reacted. I'll take your leave now." Smriti spoke, she got up and went in her room to get her luggage. Her daughter had accepted this, then who is she to interfere, and also in a way, she was grateful to her in-laws for supporting her in this situation.
I'm sorry, mom, for whatever my mother said. She wasn't right-" Kriya apologized to avantika, who nodded in no and gave a small smile to her.
"I can understand her worry, kriya. Its okay." Avantika assured her.

Smriti had left for her home, but make sure kriya call her if needed and inform her if shivam decide something.
At night, taani was busy in packing their stuff. Rey came out of the washroom after taking a relaxing bath. He smiled, he walked toward her and wrapped his arms around her from behind. Taani gasped, but then smile, sensing its him. Rey nuzzled his face in crook of her neck, inhaling her deep fruity fragrance.
"I want you." Rey mumbled, he played with the strap of her nightie. She sighed in pleasure, but gained control over her senses.
"Rey, leave me. I have to finish packing." Taani said to him, she wriggled in his arms around he held her in firm, possessive grip.
"We will do it tomorrow morning, but right now, your husband is more important." Rey hushed her, he picked her up in his arms and walked over the bed. He gently made her lay down, taani tried to protest, but he silenced her but placing his lips on her. Kissing her ever so softly, he made her forget the whole world around her. She embrace him, and submitted herself to her husband.
